A must stop for unique cards! Since I work at an art and design college I was just introduced to the wonders of Letterpress, and this place has unique Letterpress cards for every occasion made in house and elsewhere. The shop is decorated nicely, and I walked away with some great cards, including a beautiful Christmas card for my parents. read more

This was one of my MUST VISIT places in the little town of Jim Thorpe. I love the vibe of the shop, the taxidermy and the texts just make me happy. There were so many apt cards for my current situation that i bought a few and look forward to seeing if i can order more. The owner was who sold to us and she entertained my friends with stories, while i stepped outside, because i was hot due to all the layers! They do custom wedding invites! Amazing store!!! I'm an old soul who loves sending cards! The letterpress machine was operating at the time I visited. The gentleman working allowed me to video it which I was really grateful for. Unique silly, funny, even nasty, getting cards --- but truly the emphasis is on "funny" --- are their specialty, as well as their regular printing business of invitations, etc. I have never been a store of any kind where the customers are all laughing at the merchandise --- those cards! --- that they are perusing. An absolute fun place to peruse around. We were walking down the Main Street of Jim Thorpe and stumbled upon this establishment. There are signs that clearly state not to take pictures of any of their cards for obvious reasons. The cards are really creative and hilarious. We had a really good time reading through them and getting a good laugh out of it. This place will definitely brighten your mood using humor. I ended up buying two cards and they also sell Jim Thorpe magnets which was great. read more

A fun and fabulous place to browse and get very funny/saucy cards for all occasions (I got a Birthday card for my friend with an excellent, dark sense of humor). It's also stunningly designed from top to bottom, restoring the interior space to meet the building's historic significance, with a contemporary eye and touch of high-class camp. If I'm ever in the need of classy invitations custom-made this is for sure where I'll go. Something about fancy paper makes me happy to be alive, and Somersault Letterpress has that in spades. I loved browsing through their cute and hilarious offerings here. I found the perfect birthday card for my best friend that I can't wait to give her. Also, if you're in the market for wedding invitations the ones on display here were stunning. I especially loved the tartan themed invitations. Very unique and well made. The people running this store are very lovely too. I appreciate the Jim Thorpe sticker they threw in my bag! Amy and Mitch, the proprietors of Somersault are really amazing printers and designers. They have put together a lovely shop with hand letterpress printed matter (made with vintage presses), from dozens of designer/letterpress printers. If your timing is right, you can see them working in their pristine studio in the back of the store printing items for the shop and doing jobs for clients. Getting married? Having an event? I had a great time at Somersault with AMy and Mitch. They are such talented people. Just reading the cards, seeing the printing presses, talking with the proprietors and being is a beautiful building from the 1800's was such a treat. My Grand kids learned lot about how printing is and was done. They also saw hand made wrought iron from a local craftsman that was beautiful. I all had great fun and went back the next day to buy more. Do yourself a favor and do not miss this Gem in Jim Thorpe. read more

I was searching for a letterpress printer for my client's business cards and originally started in San Francisco, NYC, and Brooklyn thinking that those were the places I would be sure to find high quality products and service. Through sheer luck, when I almost completely gave up my search, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law were on a weekend trip through Jim Thorpe and came across Somersault. After hearing about all of the troubles that I had, jokingly my brother-in-law sent me a picture of their sign outside. He brought me Amy's business card and I was blown away at the attention to detail. I decided to take a chance and go with Somersault, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Mitch and Amy are so friendly and really care about their customers.
