Extremely disappointing and unacceptable handling of a serious fraud issue. I contacted this store after discovering unauthorized credit card transactions made at this location. I reached out for assistance and was directed to the security team by help desk. The help desk was very rude and disrespectful. They requested my credit card information and phone number, assured me that someone would follow up, and then completely failed to contact me afterward. A customer dealing with thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges should not be ignored after providing requested information in good faith. At minimum, I expected basic communication, professionalism, and accountability. Instead, I received no update, no explanation, and no follow-through. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in this store's customer service and security response. I hope management reviews how fraud-related customer concerns are handled, because leaving customers without any response after asking for sensitive information is unacceptable. read more

I recently stopped by the mall to see what this place offered. I've never been to this mall but a colleague told me about this place last year and now I finally have a chance to check this out. During my visit, I get to understand that this is two separate Mall entities connected to a sky bridge. One side of the mall is purely upscale high-end stores and the other end of the mall is upscale stores with medium end stores. This mall was absolutely packed too to the rim! I really enjoyed the diversity of the stores here and in fact this is the first mall where it's 100% occupied. They don't even have small shops in the middle of the mall as well like most malls do. The food selection is actually pretty good too! This mall is really clean and I'm Amazed by how well the bathrooms are as well. Coming here on a weekend is really tough to find parking! Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here this mall is more of a 4.5 star experience but I will say it is one of the best malls I've been to in recent memory. read more

An upperend shopping mall, on either side of a main road connected by a skywalk. Parking garages on both sides. Clean, bright. It has a weird vibe. Like it is upper end, but dying, and like there is a sprinkling of people who are, for lack of a better term, ghetto. Just feels a little off. Lots of high end mall store choices, though. read more

We were hungry...didn't have reservations, Yet had a taste for PF Changs. It had been a while. The 45 min wait was worth it. I was willing ( didn't want to) sit at the bar. Happily we were seated at a comfortable booth. Our waiter was friendly and gave great recommendations. Pacsun -we were shopping at the store, and the female cashiers were consistently laughing at us they were pointing and it was extremely clear that they were talking about us and laughing at us. They were literally eyes so we were leaving the looked back and then they started laughing again. The service was absolutely horrible and I would like to see more professional behavior at this establishment. read more

This is the one mall I do recommend in the Detroit area! Food court, Starbucks and lots of stores. Literally something for everyone!

Somerset has always been a destination for a fun day of shopping, food, and beautiful decorations at Christmas time and it continues to stay that way! If you are in Michigan you have to visit this mall. Somerset Collection has something for everyone. The service was excellent in every store we went in. The two sides to this mall. The locals describe it as the rich side and the regular side. This mall has the high in stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, N. Good to see a mall that is still thriving. It is far away unless you live in Troy. 3 floors, no empty stores at all and everyone was shopping. There are high end luxury stores and stores with regular priced items. The thing I don't like is the food court. It is small and doesn't look very appealing. I love this mall. It's probably the best mall in Michigan, lol. It's huge, clean, bright and where you can find majority of the luxury stores. Hey, it's always nice to window shop. They also have a lot of eateries and not so high end retailers. Some of the stores here are Apple, Aldo, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, Fossil, Gap, Lego, Nike, Tommy Bahama, Vans and William Sonoma. It's divided into two sides, North and South. They have a walkway connecting the two called the Skywalk. It also has moving walkways for people who don't feel like walking. read more

I guess I'll be coming to Somerset Mall more often now that the only Macys, well the closest on is there. This is a high end mall that I come to for sales and specialty items that are only here. This is a busy Mall and the staff is helpful. Even when you don't want to spend your hard earned money, the vibe is this place tells you that is alright. Before Macys closed the other location, I came to Somerset to shop on both sides and for the good food only occasionally. read more

So unfortunately this will be the last time we visit the Easter Bunny or Santa at The Somerset Collection. We arrived on the south side at 5:30p where it has taken place for years, that's my fault for not noticing it has changed to the north side. I called Somerset at 5:33p to ask where the bunny was and the concierge said they were now on the north side but we had to hurry to get over there but we would be able to get in. We rushed and arrived at 5:39 in spite of their elevator and moving sidewalk being broken. Even though stated online and on posters throughout the mall that it's open until 6p we were refused. I then spoke to the concierge and was told that they stop the line at 5:45 or 5:40. I pointed out that we were there at 5:39 and the line was already closed and her response was to shrug and say they can do that. I also pointed out that their signs read 6:00 and she kept responding that they stop the lines early though nowhere on their information does it state that. If I knew it closed almost a half an hour early then I would've just gone to Twelve Oaks which is open until 7p and I could make reservations. As I left with a crying Piper I noticed we weren't the only ones leaving with disappointed children. This is a children's event, they should be more specific on their times, not "we may stop the lines early at 5:45...or 5:40...or 5:39" with a shrug of the shoulders to the children. read more

On a recent trip to the mall for some after the holidays shopping we couldn't get over how beautifully decorated the mall was. Both sides of the mall were full of shoppers and if you wanted to visit the luxury stores there was a wait time. Most stores were running some great deals during our visit. If you need to use an elevator note that they are usually at max capacity and take a bit to open up. Also, the lines at the food court are insanely long. A very popular food court spot is Chick Fil A and the line wraps around. Overall the staff at all the stores we visited were kind and helpful. Overall the mall was clean, stores were accessible and there were a ton of stores that had specialty things like designing your own bracelet, a candy shop, a shoe collector spot and of course the luxury and athletic stores. It also has a variety of anchor stores too. Parking can be a little tricky depending on where you are interested in shopping but there is still plenty of it. There is a skywalk that lets you walk between the two sides of the mall and includes a moving walkway on both sides. We absolutely enjoy visiting this mall and the multiple making our way around the multiple floors and seeing all the stores. read more

There are still so many reasons to visit this mall. While I am sad that malls are becoming passé! Somerset has a lot of the stores we still want to shop at. If I need help with my phone, I love this location for Apple! They are always kind a helpful. This is also the best place to find good sales at Lululemon, since it is so large. I also love to get a lemonade from Shake Shack and walk around, and their food court is decent, even though I only really go to Shake Shack. I like how they have improved their Starbucks and made it wider, since although I want to try some of the other coffee spots here, I just end up at Starbucks ever time. During the holidays you will find me here getting tons of gifts, and I like their variety of shops. The parking lots can get crazy, but I tend to find something eventually. I also still like Nordstrom's and many of them have disappeared, so this mall still has your standard department stores. It is also great for getting those steps in in you go to both sides of the mall. read more

Love the team at Everything But Water. Swimsuit shopping is always something I dread as I can never find a swim suit that fits my double D bra cup size. Daniela and Mayah where great at making feel comfortable in a fitting room and brought me some of the best fitting swimwear I have ever been able to try on. Had a fun day! Would really suggest the Magic Cow bath bomb at Lush. It was only 7$ and was AMAZING!!! And, workers gave us a free arm massage ‍ with a soap I picked out. Also would suggest Claire's. There is not a better run mall in the country. We go there to walk early before the shops open, 3-4 times a week. The attention to detail is unbelievable. Starts at the top with great managers overseeing everything. Beautiful decorations, plants and stores. Everything is full and if a store disappears, it fills quickly. Workers are friendly. Lots of security walking around. Lots of food choices. The bathrooms are impeccable in cleanliness. Thank you to the entire staff for making walking and shopping an enjoyable experience. read more

I grew up in Troy and for a good chunk of it, I grew up not 2 miles down the road from Somerset. I even remember a time before Somerset was here and this space was just a lot that sold Christmas trees! I remember going to the grand opening of one of the department stores at the time (was it Neiman Marcus or Hudson's?) and they had on display a ridiculously massive, expensive, and extremely ethically questionable fur coat to celebrate the opening. How times have changed! Despite however long it has been, Somerset still stands fresh as a daisy, seemingly none the older than when it first opened all those years ago. This mall still seems just as bright, airy, and modern regardless of the decades changing around it, and the mall has done a great job at bringing in new stores to update its literal *collection* as the years have gone by. It's comical to me that there has always been and will probably always be a rich and poor side, even though the poor side is pretty bougie in and of itself already. I miss the days when there were 4 Starbucks in this entire mall (there's now only 3 *gasp*) and the novelty of the SkyWalk was still so real and you could wave down at the cars driving up & down Big Beaver and wave and get waves back haha! Now, the Skywalk and this mall are ingrained into the fabric of Troy and probably considered its crowning gem. All in all, you could and probably should literally spend hours upon hours, days upon days here. There's so many awesome stores here to check out and there seem to always be new ones coming in. First time visiting, the place looked clean and "up scale" lol. First mall with "valet", never seen that before, but I guess since it targets the upper middle class, it's a service they offer, but I rather park on my own :) Definitely a lot better mall than others that I've visited. It's out of my way, however stopped by to give a tour to a cousin who was visiting from overseas. The walk-way between the two buildings were nice, but the moving walkway was not working. Overrated mall. This spot USED to be filled with ppl who were obviously filled with entitlement. Now, it still has the same, but with the added bonus of loud and obnoxious teens. You used to get somewhat dressed up to come to this mall, but sadly it is the same as every other mall - not worth the drive. A nice mall to visit, miss all the old stores Like Amazon, Disney store, papyrus, guess, F.y.e. And even Barnes and noble, enjoyed the Benetton store real long ago. They must pinball between Nordstrom's, Saks, Neiman-Marcus, and Macy's. They even offer valet parking and concierge services. Jamie suggested we come here to get our steps in on a blustery and wintry Midwestern afternoon, and it was a good place for that as we traipsed on the skywalk and did our circuits around Somerset North and Somerset South multiple times. Wow! This mall is huge. 3 floors and it's divided into two sections, each side is across from each other on Big Beaver Road. One side has more of the expensive, high end, specialty stores while the other side has the regular stores you expect to see. At close to 8pm on a Saturday, there were still a lot of people around. It wasn't overly busy, but people were hanging mostly around the food court on the second floor. I used to come here a lot as a kid with my mom, so it's got some sentimental value for me. Parking isn't bad. They have tons of lots and parking garages. I couldn't remember a lot about what it was like when I was a kid. You can do a lot of walking here, which is great. Still, they've got escalators, elevators, and stairs. They've got a skywalk that takes you across Big Beaver Road to get to each side. I had to go on it again just for old times sake. It was a blast! Very impressed with this mall. I was not expecting to be so blown away by the number of stores this mall has. When you walk in here, you can already feel how high-end/luxury this mall really is. It is clean, very spacious and modern, and well kept with lots of stores open ready to serve you. This mall is divided into two buildings connected by a skyway. Cool! The washrooms are also well maintained and very clean. Big stores you can find here include Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. There's also a Detroit souvenir shop if you are visiting the area, or simply want to pick up some local gear to show off your Detroit pride. Whatever you're here for, this mall seems to have it all for you! I'll definitely be back here again, since I live right across the border. read more

This is one of the nicest malls in comparison to the malls near me (Partridge and Lakeside). The design is so beautiful with three floors on the main side, and two floors on the upscale side across the bridge. Very spatious. They have all kinds of stores such as apparel, beauty, jewelry, home furnishing, entertainment, and toys. They also have places to eat in the food court along with California Pizza Kitchen and Brio. They have a Starbucks on both sides of the mall. The mall can be a bit confusing, but it is easy to navigate. They have a directory with mini maps so you can find your way around. My favorite places to shop are usually shoe stores. read more

This place is beautiful! You could spend hours here and without buying anything you would till have fun. My daughter loved it. Apparently she had never seen an escalator before and we spent half our time going up and down the escalators. We went to the lego store, which was the original reason for coming here. But she didn't care about it nearly as much as all the fountains and the skywalk. We saw lots of people walking around for exercise, we witnessed the forty five people in line waiting for chick-fil-a and we decided that the bougie side was not for us as they only had two floors and only one working escalator. It had nothing to do with the fact that basic boxer briefs cost $130 at a minimum over there. All in all, this is a great place to kill time, people watch, pretend you're not broke by walking into Gucci and Tiffany's and act like the stuff isn't good enough for you. read more

worst return policy ever even for the holidays. If you buy anything on sale (which of course you would since they are so expensive) you cannot return the item. You get a store credit which doesn't work well for people who don't have a local store. I have been buying things for years from them and they always returned items even those on sale. My friend brought me to this mall. On the way there she explained that there were 2 sections, on different sides of the street. I couldn't fully wrap my mind around how this would work. The malls that I usually go to are contained in 1 building, whether it be spread out or stacked on top of each other. We started on one side, made our way through the various stores that interested us and then across the skywalk we went. The other side was of the mall was just as big and bright. There's daylight everywhere you are. They also have some neat displays. When I had gone there was Christmas decorations up and they were much larger and more impressive than any I'd seen before. read more
