I don't think I ever paid a co-payment in the 4 years I went here because I had banked big bucks by referring friends and coworkers.

They're on route 1 in north Brunswick near the CVS, next door to the UPS, in Commerce Plaza corner of 1 and Commerce Blvd. It doesn't look like anything from the outside (it's a strip mall in Jersey, not their fault) but the inside is always nice, clean and the staff truly cares. There are two ladies named Tara, one that's front desk and one that's finance. Both are amazing. So kind and so warm. Dental assistant Christina is great. We got a phone call telling us that our dentist left and that a new dentist and hygienist will take over this location. I don't like getting my bi-yearly checkup but I do look forward to having a thorough cleaning nonetheless. From the second I met the hygienist, my guard was up. It's hard to explain but I just felt it. From the x-rays performed to the entire cleaning, it was sloppy, unprofessional and different from all the past cleanings I have had. I know this is really weird for me to say, but I smelled a dirty dish rag scent. I don't know if it was from the chair, room or the hygienist. I actually smelled it on her latex gloves that was probing inside my mouth. I had to hold my breath and breathe through my mouth the entire time. When my teeth cleaning was done, I waited for the dentist to come check my teeth. There was an unfriendly, rushed greeting. And gosh, this one smelled like moth balls. She kind of hurt me the way she was checking my teeth. Then I hear her throwing numbers at the hygienist to write down. And that was the end of it. I went to the receptionist and here is where they tried to scam me. Receptionist: We need to schedule you back for some fillings for your cavities. Me: Cavities? How many are we talking about? Receptionist: (she proceeds to count them) 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 Me: EIGHT????? You're telling me that I have 8 cavities???? Receptionist: Yes, that is what the dentist wrote on this form. Me: I was just here 6 months ago with NO CAVITIES. Receptionist: You can talk to the dentist. Me: No thank you, I will get a second opinion. I don't know what kind of dental office you guys are running here. (I stormed out). If I have 8 cavities, you would think at least 1-2 would cause me some pain. I have not had a cavity in over a decade. Only fillings to redo an old filling but that's it. I'm one that brushes 4-5x a day and flosses. When a patient needs further work on their teeth, there is always a discussion on which tooth it is, how extensive it is, what needs to be done and an x-ray is shown. None of this was done to confirm that I have 8 cavities. Replaying the whole incident in my head now, I realize that two patients ahead of us looked upset as they left the dental office when the receptionist said they needed fillings. My son later told me that he felt uncomfortable and that the vibe was off. SUSSY, a Gen-Z term meaning...suspicious as hell.

While my experience with the billing and admin team wasn't ideal, I will reiterate that the dentists were great here and I appreciated their expertise. _______________________________________________ DO NOT GO HERE. The dentists are great but you'll also be handed a BILLING NIGHTMARE (there are multiple comments below that also say this - so BEWARE). They messed up my billing, tried to charge me twice, made me pay when cleaning is under my insurance and when I tried to call them, the receptionist/billing person didn't look into my account and told me they'd call me back. No call back. Instead, I called them and they ignored my calls or put me on hold for OVER 30 minutes and NEVER ANSWERED. I went in for a cleaning and found out I needed a tooth extraction for my upper left wisdom tooth…read more I was told I could get it done right then. I was nervous as I had never had anything more than a cleaning and was worried about the procedure and the pain. Luckily Dr. Kaluskar assured me it would be fine. She explained the procedure and eased my anxiety. Turns out I was worried about nothing! The anesthesia shots didn't hurt at all. And the entire extraction took 2 minutes, was painless, and before I knew it the tooth was out! The procedure was super easy and overall Dr. Kaluskar did a great job. I've been coming to her for years and after today am especially happy that I have been. I would definitely recommend her to all those looking for a warm, friendly and skilled dentist!
