Citizens is a huge bank, so it must have done something right. What they are doing wrong is making small account holders unwelcome. They charge a monthly fee for personal checking accounts and pay virtually no interest for savings account holders. You can qualify for no-fee checking and slightly higher interest savings if you have multiple accounts that total a minimum amount (mortgages count toward that total). I left after they changed their minimum from $20,000 to $50,000 (I no longer have a mortgage and $50,000 at just over zero interest doesn't appeal to me). What the corporate guys are saying to their customers is that they aren't interested in the little guy. I went to the bank up the street and got free checking with no minimum.

(121 east main st, ligonier, pa 15658) he is pure scum, and is being taken to small claims court by me. he closed everyone's safety vaults in the bank's basement after i have had mine for nearly a decade, citing "they are not waterproof or insured." i received a letter from him, stating he was giving me an upstairs vault "free for one year." that branch is more than an hour's drive. i asked for a branch closer. he agreed. today i learned i needed to have an account at citizen's, the same bank sued for millions by the us government for the fraudulent, illegal activities they continue to do. i had to open an account for $1, open the vault then close the account. i am taking jason to small claims court for $315, the price of the "new" vault since i want nothing to do with shitizens bank.

Basically I'm putting feelers out there to see which banks are ones that I can actually do banking with. I honestly didn't know it was a bank for the longest time. It blends in well with the surrounding buildings that when driving by in your car you do not notice it. What you really don't notice is the fact that this location has a drive thru area tucked away to the right of the building and down the alley. There is a drive up window if you need to do actual banking with this branch. But they have a drive up ATM as well. It is a newer ATM that is all touch screen/no envelope. Makes for an easy stop. Just be careful when entering/leaving this place. It is on a very narrow road that also leads to the hotel in town. There is a parking lot back here too which makes it a bit more confusing. I may have ran over the curve because I didn't know you needed to go to the end of the lot to "enter."

I just can't get into the mobile depositing just yet, especially since I don't have my bank account number memorized and I need that to make a deposit either way. Anyway, driving through Ligonier once again I decided to give another bank a try. I could have swore that this location was a completely different branch altogether, but I don't frequent this area very much to know one way or another. As I have said in that past few reviews on banks I have been doing my banking mostly through the drive thru, this was no different. To note, the entrance to the drive thru services are not accessible from Main St. Instead you have to go around to the alley to enter drive thru services. Do be careful, this is a narrow alleyway and it appears to be a two way street, so that doesn't leave much room for movement. Touch screen in full effect on the ATM. No envelopes required for deposits if I remember correctly.

Very convenient because they are right there in Walmart. They are open 364 days a year and make deposits available immediately! I had a problem with another bank, from when i was a kid, and couldn't get a bank account. They were the only bank to open an account for me and after a year of keeping my account in good standing I now have $500.00 of overdraft protection (called Privilege Pay). When no other bank would take a chance on me, this bank not only would, but they did things above and beyond what ANY other bank would do. I once had a small problem with this bank and the CEO called my from his cell phone to correct it and told me to call him back if I ever had any other problem! Thanks Woodforest!

I found myself in New Stanton getting fuel and had a check that needed depositing. I did a quick search and made my way here. So another adventure in vehicular banking. After leaving what people considered to be New Stanton I made my way here. I felt like I was being punked. The bank is the only business on this side of the road, the rest is fields. To do my vehicular banking I had to go around the back. If I remember correctly this is not an updated ATM. It spit out an envelope and I had to take a bit of time to fill that out while being yelled at by the machine asking if I needed extra time. Of course I did, I didn't expect to have to do extra work at that point. Did my thing, all while I thought something might have come out of the woods (remember, this is late at night for me). Finish my banking and make my way out to exit. Be careful exiting. The exit for the bank is right next to another road, I mean a fence or a post is separating the two. Pay attention as well. I almost got hit exiting.

That means I pass through Somerset on the steady and have been hitting up places all through the hamlet. Cue another episode of vehicular banking. I ended up dodging other banks to get here. I did this on purpose as I knew 1st Summit is a bank that will take my deposit. When I did make my way here I did not know how far into Somerset it was. Most banks are near the shopping plazas, but this one is in the heart of Somerset. Which means you have to go through town to get here. Sits rather close the the county courthouse complex and just out of reach from the rest of the businesses in the downtown area. If I remember correctly I entered here on the side street and then exited out onto the main street. It was nice to be able to pull up, do my thing, and then keep my day going.
