Our move was tricky from the start with more cubic metres than we expected, but they have been very good at making it more fun and have been adaptable too. Communication prior the move was good and precise which massively helped. They have been very efficient in loading/off-loading. A small advice though would be to use different contractors for the driving in order to improve the service you provide. Cardiff was chosen as the departure point owing to the huge contribution of the city to the expedition's financing. This relationship was also responsible for the elegant Scott Memorial at the south end of Roath Park Lake. The lake was emptied in 1914 so that foundations for the tower could be built. It was completed in 1915 and in 1918 it was officially presented to the Cardiff. The plaque on the promenade side of the Memorial reads: To the memory of Captain R. F. Scott C.V.O. D.S.O. , R.N. and his faithful companions Captain L. E. G. Oates, Lieut. H. R. Bowers R.I.M., Dr. E. A. Wilson and Petty Officer Edgar Evans R.N. who sailed in the S.S. Terra Nova from the Port of Cardiff June 15th 1910, to locate the South Pole; and, in pursuit of that great and successful scientific task, laid down their lives in the Antarctic Regions. March 1912. I've found that often, recording studios want to get as much money out of you as possible but we never felt that here and we crammed alot of work into the 3 days. There's good equipment there if you need a different sound for a particular song and the software used to record was amazing. I'd highly recommend Red Rock Studios because they made me sound good, and that's not easy!

Warwick Hall is an old warehouse planted at the back of Whitchurch Road. You'll have to go down a…read morecouple of back alleys to find it, and there's very little room for cars to park, drive or turn around, but somehow they've managed to turn this place into a serviceable recording studio and rehearsal space for the bands of Cardiff. It's run by two brothers who have managed to make it into one of the more known rehearsal studios in the area by offering very reasonable rates for the time and by catering to the many local car-less student bands that spring up during university terms. The recording facilities are cheap too, but they give a fair sound for what you'll end up paying, mixing and mastering the recording being thrown in with the price. The inside is a little bit grubby, looking a bit like a recording studio from a Dickens' novel. If you can get past that though, this place has everything you need for your burgeoning band to get started.
