The woman serving us poured the coffee into paper cups. When I politely asked if we could have the coffee in cups instead, she angrily poured the coffee from the paper cups into ceramic cups. A few minutes later, she served us cold sandwiches as well. I found the whole situation very upsetting and disappointing. I do not know whether her behavior was related to the fact that I was from another country and whether there was some kind of national or cultural bias involved, or whether she was simply having a bad day. However, the way we were treated made us feel very uncomfortable. I have always had positive experiences at Elsewhere, which is why this incident was particularly disappointing. It was genuinely a very unpleasant and discouraging experience.

The quality of the coffee is exactly what you know you're getting when you go to Starbucks. Do people even review the coffee in a Starbucks review at this point? I really can't. It's Starbucks. You know what it is. What I like most about coming here is the atmosphere. The lighting is cozy, the wood finish is inviting, the WiFi is fast and free. Nice place to come get a little work or correspondence done when your own space gets too distracting. That said, if you want to get distracted here you certainly can. I usually take a little time while my coffee is still hot to eavesdrop on all the people around me. From old friends catching up to people who barely know one another meeting to awkwardly get something accomplished for school or work, it's kind of fun to listen in for a bit. But bring headphones in case it's bad. Sometimes it's bad. For some reason every time I come to this Starbucks I notice that the coat hanger in the bathroom is clearly on the nicer end of coat hangers. At least it's not the super cheapo one you see in most public bathrooms. There's just something sort of comforting about being somewhere where a detail so small was given some thought. This is a good Starbucks to go to.

The two beers were ordered were good, but it was a pain ordering them; many breweries I go to have a dedicated "Order here" area for those not lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. My suggestion to the owners: take out one of your bar seats on one end or the other, so there people can walk up and order instead of invading the space of those sitting at the bar. It really helps!
