I was coming into town for this tattoo'. On the day of the tattoo I confirmed by text message to the gentleman. However he never contacted me back!!! Nope no word nothing which a you can imagine was very upsetting! Good work but there are a lot of issues here. I had an old tat fixed up and a new one done. It was good. I put a deposit down for artwork for something new. After months of nothing I asked for a return of my deposit. Lots of excuses so I gave her a couple more weeks to finish. Months later and... crickets. read more

Excellent tattoo shop! Very clean and positive energy. Perfect vibe! What I like lost about Songbird Tattoo is the owner Joy and her apprentice Angel. They are both very kind, respectful, and patient with the client. From the moment I stepped in the shop I felt cool calm and collected. It was very welcoming and peaceful. Not your typical heavy metal playing, intense employees, and that strange feeling of pressure and anxiety you get in some shops. The shop is small and intimate which I really like! 10/10 experience. Joy brought my tattoo to life! She has the lightest hand and just an overall amazing artist. That's right she is not just a tattooer she is an artist! Also, for the first time I tried out the pain crème as well as "second skin" for the healing process. It was an amazing process the pain crème is incredible! I felt nothing. Seriously, I felt nothing at all! The second skin made the healing process so easy! Joy is all about cleanliness and ensuring a proper healing for her clients. I never leave reviews, but I had to for this one. I've had pretty bad social anxiety that I've been working on for a while now, but I still dont get out and go in stores too often. But I pushed myself to walk into SongBird the other day. I really had no idea what I was doing, but I had been wanting a couple of small tattoos for a while. Angel greeted me right away and was super nice. I told him what I had in mind and he offered to fit me in on the weekend. When I went back to get the tattoos, he was incredibly patient with me to make sure they were exactly the size, style and placement that I wanted. This was my second time getting tattooed and the first time was many years ago. The whole process was very smooth and I was actually able to feel pretty relaxed there, which is surprising given my anxiety issues. It was a very enjoyable experience overall and I am Beyond happy with results. I can't thank you enough Angel. I also met Joy who arrived right as we were finishing up and she was incredibly kind as well. I would definitely recommend this shop. Well, I spoke with Joy via Facebook to schedule a tattoo for 11/14 made my deposit. On the day of our appointment she sent me a message saying she sustained an injury, which I completely understand. She asked to book out 3 weeks for another Tuesday. I reached out again on Nov 24 when she wanted to schedule; no response. I sent another message 2 days later letting her know that I understand she is injured and with the holidays i know she is busy, and I would like my deposit back since it was no fault of my own and I would reach out again after to schedule a better time. On Nov 30th she sent a message saying she is just coming back to work she can do next Tuesday. I responded with the time I work and did not hear back. I honestly just want my deposit back. I know joy has a standing schedule with other clients, and I totally understand the injury but the communication is just not there. read more

After years of collecting ideas I brought them all to Joy. I wanted a half sleeve of work that would incorporated 6 former exchange students that are daughters to me. I also wanted an infertility symbol that has the word for daughter and love, in my girls languages, stitched out of it. She weaved a web of love showing the jouney from infertility to worldly mom.
