Dr Badheka was my attending physician when I had to go in for my emergency induction due to preeclampsia. She performed emergency c section after the baby lost his heartbeat after going through 30 mins of labor. Thanks to her expertise and swift action both the baby and I are recovering well. I couldn't recommend her and Eden hospital (Castro Valley) more for labor and delivery. read more

I cannot recommend Dr. Badheka and her team highly enough! From the very first prenatal visit through to the delivery of our baby, I felt completely supported, heard, and cared for. Although I wasn't able to have Dr. Badheka as my provider from the very start of my pregnancy, I am so glad I was able to switch to Sutter and her as soon as she began accepting patients again in my early second trimester. One thing I appreciated deeply was how she approached my pregnancy with thoughtful, individualized care. Being over 35, I was initially worried about being automatically labeled "high-risk," but Dr. Badheka never made my pregnancy feel unnecessarily medicalized or complicated because of my age. Instead, she guided me with evidence-based information and calm reassurance, helping me feel informed and confident every step of the way. Dr. Badheka has incredible bedside manner, always calm, kind, and compassionate. She consistently took the time to truly listen to my questions and concerns at every visit, and she made me feel like not only an active partner in my care, but also fully in charge of my decisions. Communication through the health portal was always prompt and thoughtful, which made a huge difference in easing anxiety between appointments. One of the things I appreciated most was how respectful and supportive she was of my birth preferences. I had a detailed birth plan and chose to have a doula present during delivery, both of which were not only accepted but genuinely welcomed. I never felt pressured into anything I wasn't comfortable with, which made the experience that much more empowering and meaningful. I also feel incredibly lucky that Dr. Badheka happened to be the on-call OB during my labor and delivery. She handled everything with such care, presence, and professionalism. Her composure, clear communication, and emotional support made all the difference in helping me feel safe and confident throughout the process. I am delighted and I highly recommend Dr. Badheka! Right from the beginning where she accepted me as the patient to the delivery time and postpartum care, she is the most skillful OBGYN I have had. Supportive and responsive - Throughout my pregnancy journey Dr. Badheka has been supportive by adjusting appointment slots and working around schedule. She is super responsive as she replies to all my calls/emails even in the late evening. Treating the root cause - She would listen to the problem with great patience and as her treatment she would dive deep (through to details) and find the root cause to treat that. Caring, Accommodating, and Present for her patients - She was there with me at each step and worked her schedule around to help me with my emergency/unplanned c-section. This is my last baby -- fifth baby and Dr. Badheka was just amazing as ever. I had two awesome labor and delivery nurses -- but Bernice/ Bernie was there. She was calm, straight to the point and never let me see her sweat. I got my epidural administered and I believe I went into active labor shortly after that. She was managing my labor and another woman's labor (who ultimately was going to need a c section). She kept checking me to see which labor was getting priority: me or the c section. All of which I knew nothing about, until it came time to deliver. I cannot speak more highly of the staff and Dr. Badheka. I simply LOVE her to bits. I truly don't trust anyone other than her and Eden's staff. She's absolutely amazing!!! read more

My first OB kept getting my due date wrong- like it was a month apart..then she stuck things in my private part saying "im sure you had bigger things in there.." then she would just throw out my questions for my first kid, like she would brush em off real fast... So I had to look for a new OB, and I found Dr.Badheka via Yelp. I have couple OBs in my family that have some drastic beliefs in what they think is best for the patient rather than what is safe...but Dr. Badheka respects the journey of a mother and this innate attitude is not merely through training but I think she is just a great person overall. She delivered both my children, and she approaches birth like its her mission in life. She is accurate and people around her respect her immensely. Now if you gave labor before you want that team to be guided by the doctor, not haphazardish team work when dealing with life. Both times she came through like a hero. First child-I thought I was going to die on the table- she did her magic Second child- my child was at risk of a limb fragmentation, she pushed back the kid and quickly rearranged my baby and now my child is safe in my arms. This review is long overdue! Dr.Badheka is the best OBGYN, hands down! She delivered both of my daughters, and was so supportive, understanding and made my pregnancy and delivery so easy! I had gestational diabetes with both my daughters and needed to get induced because of it. Dr.Badheka not only prepared me for it so well before hand but each and every appointment she always answered every question I had and always guided me in the best way possible! Her and her entire staff, always replied to my messages and calls immediately! Even months after I delivered my daughter she followed up with me to make sure I was doing ok postpartum! Feels a bit odd to be writing a review of my OB on yelp, but I know many people search yelp when looking for doctors and I think everyone should know how truly wonderful Dr. Badheka is. I was pregnant with my first child right at COVID-19 started. I felt so cared for and supported by Dr. Badheka and the whole team at Eden. My husband and I both talk about how lucky we felt to be in Dr. Badheka's care and also to be delivering at Eden. Dr. Bedheka is so loving and patient. I was sort of sad that I wouldn't be seeing her on a regular basis after our daughter arrived. If you are new to the area, or looking for a new OB - look no further. Dr. Badheka is the best doctor among that I have seen in my life, she helped me with my molar pregnancy and follow up with me over a year to get ready for next trial and delivered my first baby, I've been working with her over 4 years. I teared in front of her when I was told of molar pregnancy since I thought it was 'real' and I teared after my first baby was delivered, had tried pushing over 4hours at delivery, end up emergency c-section, she came over at 2am ish to help my surgery even though she wasn't on call that day, I teared in front of her when I had problem to breast feeding and constantly got breast infection, she is a doctor with professions and beautiful heart, she works hard to help her patients, such an angel doctor... read more

Dr Badheka was my OB during my first baby/pregnancy. She was amazing! She always was in tuned with sensitivity and explained everything very clearly. I had an issue after being released from postpartum and she took the time to see me the following day even though I wasn't scheduled to see her (last min emergency visit). I saw Dr. Badheka today for my annual. As soon as I met her, she had a smile and a soft spoken voice that put me at ease. She is very friendly and asked me questions and afterwards asked me if I had any questions or concerns to ask her. I told her that I had previous negative experience with the annual exams since the equipment used was often very cold which made me very uncomfortable. She totally understood and reassured me that they had a warmer under the examination table to keep the equipments warm and that she would hold the item in her hand for a brief period to make it warmer. What a relief to finally find a doctor who understood my needs. She told me everything she was going to do which was great and had a soft touch which was excellent. Dr. Badheka recently delivered our second child. Like with our first, Dr. Badheka came in for the delivery despite it being after-hours and her not being the doctor on call. Clearly she is highly committed to her patients. Throughout the pregnancy Dr. Badheka provided excellent care. She is incredibly thorough and takes her time with patients, and also has a very calming and reassuring demeanor. As for the delivery, my wife had to be induced but things went relatively smoothly. When a significant complication did arise at the end, Dr. Badheka handled the situation well by calmly calling in extra nursing staff and doing several quick maneuvers to safely deliver our son. (To this I'd also add that the L&D nursing staff at Eden Med Center were top notch as well.) We knew my wife was in good hands, but that really cemented it for us. She deserves the highest praise. read more

Update: It turned out I had significantly more problems that Dr. Badheka was able to diagnose -- I also had adenomyosis. Although another doctor had recommended endometrial ablation, Dr. Badheka told me that a Mirena IUD would have the same effect and be more likely to help my pain. Unfortunately, my 1 in 2 chance of Mirena helping my adenomyosis didn't pan out, and I had a hystectomy performed by Dr. Badheka and her assistant Dr. Sagupay. My partner was thoroughly informed after my surgery of all the complications (I also had endometriosis), and she provided fantastic care. She came to me the next day and was thoroughly concerned with the fact that I'd had terrible nausea during the night, and the nurses failed to notify her -- she quickly identified nausea alternatives and spent about 20 minutes explaining all the additional findings from the hysterectomy. It's been 10 days now, and I only spent 4 days needing pain pills due to her gentle touch! She may be a young doctor with less than 100 hysterectomies under her belt at this point, but you can't go wrong with her as her surgeon. I also appreciate how when we talked about my surgery, I was more interested in a supercervical hysterectomy, but she provided me all sorts of evidence showing that a total hysterectomy with keeping my ovaries are the way to go. Studies show 1 in 5 women end up having their cervix removed after a supracervical hysterectomy and removing the cervix is highly invasive; she straight up refused to perform once because she felt so strongly about this evidence (which I didn't know). read more
