Got to restaurant and checked in on app. 5 minutes later one employee comes out of the bathroom. I completely understand that, we had no issues with that. 5 minutes after that, the other 2 workers came from behind the building just talking away to each other, both had their headsets on. Then it was another 5-10 minutes before we got our 2 sodas with no ice and just one flavor added to each. Very simple order. The black woman that was working is very rude and has mega very bad customer service skills. All the times we have been there and she has been our car hop, she has yet to ever say a single word to us. I will be putting this everywhere i can to make sure it gets noticed. There are only 2 people that ever give us our order that are actually nice. It is ridiculous that someone like that is allowed to work there at all. read more

The worst Sonic I've ever been to, and I've been to some bad ones! Service is painfully slow, orders are often screwed up, employees could care less, and there is something wrong with the drink machine about half the time. Don't bother trying to save time and order on the app, it will usually take longer than if you just pulled up to the drive thru window. read more

I like Sonic , but this one needs a lesson in "speed of service"! There is no excuse for me to wait more than 15 min for my order to come! If I wanted to wait longer than that I would be eating at a sit down style restaurant, if I can get a steak at places like Chilis or Applebees in under 30min ,Sonic should have no problem getting me a burger and fries in under 10 min read more

Tonight I waited 20 minutes for my food and when the screen said my car hop was on the way nobody ever came out I ended up leaving without anything to eat and this isn't the first time I've had to drive off with nothing. This is the absolute worst Sonic ever!! With the state of the art menu boards in each pull up you would figure the service would be the best of the best...But NO. We ordered our 2 Free Texans slushy ' s last night at 6:30 which was after waiting 10 minutes for someone to answer the call button. And after the employee stated the slushys were watery. We said thats fine. (I could go home and put it in the freezer)We waited like 20 minutes...no slushy. Hit the call button again just to have this employee not understand. Then he said ok they will be right out. Well, surprise surprise...The slushy tasted like crap. I mean if I have to describe it it tasted like mold/slime in the ice machine! Had 2 sips and had to throw it out. They weren't even that busy. I strongly urge anyone NOT to go there. There are much better places to eat in Bay City I promise. read more

Came here last week and drove off because my button was activated for 25 minutes and never got an answer (it wasn't busy). Today, we came and ordered 5 ice creams and one drink via the app because they never answered the 30 minute activated button, AGAIN. We have now been here an hour and still NO ICE CREAM. read more

I'm telling you - DO NOT EAT HERE! I've lived around and in Bay City for over 23 years. This place has sucked for the past 16! And it just consistently gets worse and WORSE! If they aren't screwing up your order they are giving you lukewarm food at best...I've contacted the store directly numerous times - no resolution. Now they don't even answer their phone. I'm not the only one with that complaint either. I've called corporate twice. This time when they forwarded my complaint the store ignored it. I had to call back after a week to have them resubmit the complaint. They said they'd add "I expected a call back" onto the message.....Really? What did they think I wanted last time??? The owners obviously don't care and are "hands off" in managing this store. Someone needs to get a clue. read more

Terrible service. On a Sunday at 10:30 with only one other vehicle there we waited 12 minutes for someone just to answer the call. Since we were only getting drinks, it wasn't worth waiting so we just left. However, Whataburger down the road with a full parking lot got us in and out within 5 minutes. Horrible service! Will not answer the buzzer and wait consistently wait for 10 or more minutes for a drink when they are NOT busy. Disappointing is the best I can say. Since all of the reviews were BAD and my experience was actually good, I thought I should give them a quick review. First off, I'm an Okie (Sonic is an Okie-based corporation) and I feel like Sonic in general has gone downhill in the last several years. So, I have come to expect less than I used to. That said, I had no problems at this location. The person who took my order was quick and personable. The person who brought my order was kind. I ordered cheese tots and a diet green tea slush, both were made to standard, my slush was cold and my tots were hot. What more can I ask for? I buzzed in and asked for some salt and more ketchup. They were out in a flash with my request. I don't doubt the other people's crappy experiences. I just hope maybe this means they are working to improve things. Give me a try! Also---it was prime lunch time (12:30pm) and they were pretty busy, but still fast and good service. read more

Wish I could give them 0 stars. Worst experience at sonic ever!!! Ordered number 2 and it comes with no bacon and the slimiest nastiest tomatoes I have ever seen. Had to scrape then off the burger in chunks. Hit the call button and it took 10 minutes for an answer. Manager comes to window and asks if bacon in a bag was ok and I said yes. Another employees brings out a bag and says we remade your burger. I open the bag and it's a single meat burger with NO BACON. I was absolutely speechless. This is the absolute worst Sonic I have ever been to. Their service is so slow, they continuously get my order wrong and they are rude when I place my order. I waited 15 mins for a shake and there was only 1 car in the drive thru and 1 car parked. I finally got fed up after 15 mins and left without my shake. I can drive to palacios and back faster than I can get my order at the sonic in Bay City. Don't waste your time going to this place. They don't understand the concept of fast food. I'm giving them 1 star bc that's the lowest I can give. read more
