We had an hour to kill before our flight so we figured we'd grab some Sonic since it's so close to the airport. There was only one stall occupied when we pulled up and we wondered if they were even open. We ordered two meals, paid, and waited. Drive through cars came and went. Slowly the stalls around us also filled. After 20 mins, I asked about the status of our order. They responded saying they were busy and working on it. How are you going to tell us you're busy? For 20 more minutes we sat and watched food get run to drive through vehicles, but none in the stalls. We had ordered and paid 40 min ago and were STILL waiting for our food. It wasn't even an excessive order! I went in to ask for a refund and saw no manager in sight. I watched staged food get delivered to two cars as I stood in the store waiting for a refund. When I was finally helped, I was told the food had just been taken out. After 45 min. I said that was not an acceptable time to wait for 2 meals and would still like a refund, and was told to wait again. At this point, it was like I was being ignored. I couldn't wait even if I wanted, because now I HAD to leave to get to the airport. I wouldn't be so mad if my food had at least been fresh, but it was old from being staged! The poor kid running the orders did not deserve to be at the brunt of that catastrophe. Where was leadership?? I should not have had to ask to a refund when you already KNOW you haven't provided good service, it should be a GIVEN. We went to Sonic because my husband wanted a milkshake. And this was located next to the hotel that we were staying at. So we drove up to the parking stall And tried to place our order. But when I was ordering the person on the other end, he kept asking me what I wanted. I kept repeating myself. Then he finally got my my order right. While settling in my car, talking to my husband, and looking at the food board, I noticed that they had items for $1.99, so I pushed the button to ask about the items. The lady, on the other end, acted like she didn't hear me. The weather was nice, it was 100 degrees. The menu box with the speaker needs to be turned up. So they gave me the discount for the food items. When the food came out, it was nice and hot. But they cooked it a little too hard. My husband said that the milkshake was good, but he forgot to tell them not to put the whipped cream on the milkshake. And the onion ring tasted like a funnel cake without the power sugar. The loaded bites were really good. And I love the tater tots. The chicken tender was good. But everything was fried too hard. But we will be going back because I need a Slushy because it is hot as hell, lol. read more

However, our food wasn't super hot/fresh and it appeared thrown together; other than that we had a great time. If you have time go inside. We just stopped at this sonic driving hours and hours to go. We ordered our food and the young man brought our food and brought large drinks saying he thought we might like them (so nice!) he noticed our dog in the back and asked if it liked ice cream and brought her some and another hop they oohhed and aaaahhed over the dog and gave her some ice cream. So nice!!! The food was good. Nice and hot. Service was exceptional! Definitely go back when I'm in this area again. read more

A Sonic with nice, clean, modern indoor seating. Very pleasant staff, clean single-stall bathrooms, and the food was good (as far as Sonic food goes)- I had the chili cheese dog and tots, which were less greasy than other Sonics. They also have an all-day breakfast menu. This was a good place to stop on our way to Disney World from Charlotte. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Long line, then get to the window and cashier takes my card. It disappears from my view and then cashier is typing on her phone. She then sets the phone down and hands me my card back. 2 things wrong here.....long line means you ignore your phone to DO YOUR JOB THAT YOU ARE PAID TO DO! 2nd, don't use your phone while you have a customers card hidden from them. I came here with my boyfriend at 10:30 with 2 other cars in the drive thru ahead of us. We ordered 3 grilled cheese a medium tot a blast and a drink. We got the blast and drink as soon as we got to the window and the drive thru workers were very friendly and politely asked us to pull up which is no problem. We ended up waiting for over 30 mins on our food to come out with one other car. Eventually the other waiting customer had gone in and told the employee inside about us waiting on our orders still. The whole time this was happening other cars were going through their drive thru getting their orders quickly. We also witnessed around 4 separate employees coming in and out the building to socialize with friends who had come to see them in the parking lot. As a server and my boyfriend being a former sonic employee we know bad days in the food industry too well but this experience was unacceptable considering they had no problem getting other orders out. read more
