I'm from MI. I lived in TN for 4 yrs about 30 yrs ago. I was so excited to see a Sonic again. -Nope. Not anymore. Idk if I was just really young and dumb or they were actually decent back then... but holy crap- literally. $23 for 2 orders of greasy, cold fries & 2 burgers filled with nasty, veiny things (look really close at that next Sonic 'hamburger' you get.) I mean, I get it. It's junk food but even McDonalds can hide the cow guts better. And honestly, you couldn't understand one word from the kid at the drive-thru who mumbled 500 miles an hour at me through the speaker. Maybe they tried to warn me. No clue. As soon as I saw the big old veins hanging out of my 'hamburger' it was over for me. Idk maybe it's just me, but I like my junk in my junk food hidden really, really well. After years and years if hearing bout this chain as well as their constant commercials.... I finally got to try one out. Passed up on the Waffle House, so I was expecting something at least decent when I came here after a night of drinking at the five points downtown. I needed some tasty junk food to soak up the fun juice my belly. The place is huge so it can to handle the large amount of cars that can pull in. We came around 330am so the drive thru was the only portion open at the time. Got the #7 which was your choice of 2 dogs, a side, and a drink all for under $8!! Chose the Coney w/ onions, Chicago, Tots (couldn't pass these up!!), and a diet soda. After hearing all the rave, I probably should have tried one of their crazy drinks combos, but I'm a simple guy when it cone to drinks so whatever. Thhe food is fast, cheap, and tasty! Nothing over the top about it, large portions for the price. Tater tots were crispy without being super greasy, and the dogs were decent in size and topping, The Chicago dog didn't have the sesame bun or celery salt, but the late night drunken hungers means I don't really care. I would come back for a snack or something, it would a been cool to do the bell hop thing cause it doesn't really exist back in Cali. read more

The women's bathroom was disgusting. The toilet didn't flush properly and the floor was wet with slime of a disgusting origin. The ketchup packets, given only on request, were sticky with I don't even want to guess what. My burger was so overcooked I puked half the night after I got home. My wife got a combo and ordered a strawberry lemonade as her drink. The extra charge above the combo price was $1.60 for the drink, but we were given no warning, just charged. Noticed extra charge when I got home. We ate inside and had to wipe the table crumbs off ourselves. This was on Aug. 4, 2020 at 16:51:59. Needless to say, we're never returning to this Sonic. Others we have gone to have been better. Who knew quality could vary so drastically? read more

I have been a fan of Sonic for a long time. This place serves hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and ice creme to calm your cravings. Staff is always polite and helpful. I also love their Mozzarella sticks! Simple, fast, fun and delicious. read more

Drive through speed at lunch time was average for a Sonic. Not too fast, not overly slow either. I experienced friendly service. Check them out during happy hour 2-4pm for half price drinks. read more

The wait time is a bit long but the drinks are ok. The burgers are really good. The area doesn't look very nice, looks a bit scary.

This place is always friendly. The drive thru is always quick even when there is a lot of people. They have never forgotten to put any food in the bag like most other fast food places. read more

The location for the Sonic is pretty bad. If you want to turn left out of the lot, I would recommend just not doing that. I hit it up on the way back to Charleston recently and had to wait a little bit before I got my sandwich. The sandwich was pretty good, but at some point while eating it, I found a small yellow square that reminded me of tab sticker I would put on a piece of paper. I couldn't figure out what it was. At first, I thought it was an onion peel, but I realized it wasn't. I know things happen, but it's always disappointing when you find a foreign object in your food. read more

I usually go to Sonic on Augusta Hwy for breakfast but today I went at 2:10 after standard lunchtime. I am asked on a continual basis to pull down to #1 park space. Today there was someone already in Park #1. Anyway that doesn't matter. Does Sonic not understand the concept of a fast food drive thru? If folks are in a hurry they choose drive thru over sit down. Conversation today: Sonic- may I take your order? Me-a hot dog with just mustard and onions only small onion ring large sprite with extra ice Sonic- was that a plain hot dog? Me- just mustard and onions only. Sonic- does that complete your order Me- did you get the onion ring and drink? Sonic- What size ring? Me- Small onion ring. Sonic- is that all? Me- Did you get the drink? Sonic- No Me- Large Sprite with extra ice. Sonic- Okay $ 6.95 pull forward At the window- hot dog with mustard & onions only, small ring and lg sprite with extra ice. $6.95 Me- gave a $20 got back $13.05 was given my drink Sonic- I am going to ask you to Pull down to Park # 1 Me- There is someone in Park #1. I do not have time for this. Left..... Did enjoy the drink and it only cost me $6.95 Not sure why it takes that long to get a hot dog. They are never even hot when you get them. I guess the onion ring is considered specialty? I have never gotten anything hot there so it is not cooked to order. I know good help is hard to find but...Phylilis is lame... Drive thru should not take as long as a sit down..employees should listen to the order at the speaker and customer shouldn't have to repeat everything 3-4 times. If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered my food and asked for a orange soda, when I pulled up to the window they handed me a coke. I let them know it was the wrong soda and asked for orange. When they handed my soda they were laughing I thought nothing of it and went on my way. I started feeling wet and saw that my cup has a deliberate puncture towards the bottom of the cup. It leaked all over my 300 dollar dress and suede jacket. This Sonics is the absolute worst, terrible employees, an atrocious way to run a business. read more

Watched employee wipe my cup and lid with a dirty wet towel. 3 other employees watched her too. That's a nasty health code violation. I asked for another cup. They closed the window. I realized after driving off it was the same cup. Order wrong. Burger was old. The edge was tough and chewy. I've been a fan of Sonic for a very long time. Worst service ever. Went through Drive thru only to be pulled up into a parking spot to wait on who knows what because when I got my food it was wrong and not as fresh for as long as I waited. Had to go back through the drive thru to get my shakes which they forgot to bring and instead of being apologetic, the cashier acted annoyed. Get home with food to find that order is STILL wrong. Reading other reviews from people who don't seem to know where this place is and think it is somewhere else, I needed to write a real review. I used to work across the street and would sometimes get lunch at the Sonic. After the third time I got a raw hamburger ( cooked on outside, but raw meat on the inside) I gave up doing business with them. I don't seem to have any trouble with other locations, just this one. The drive thru could be faster, but it is comparable to other fast food drive thru. If you want a nice drink or even a shake, they are good at that. read more
