At first I was not having this place, and almost left. However, not being near another one on my roadtrip home, and being that my state of hanger was at "eating the steering wheel" status, I decided to wait it out. I had to press the button twice, because the first one went unanswered so long it timed out. There were two young men (actually and literally) running back and forth from car to car, and one young woman taking orders. Granted, they were busy. But busy enough to actually be running? That will go undetermined. After my red button call was finally answered, I found they were out of my precious (mozzarella sticks) and that my chicken sammy was going to come on a hamburger bun because they were out of the regular buns. My irritation, partially caused by the aforementioned hanger, was at an all time high. I was already thinking about this review and how I was going to be so, so upset. But then, redemption came in the form of one of the young men running to my car with food, and then getting VERY excited about my two small pups sitting in my lap. He asked if he could pet (which was extra cool, most people can't handle the cute long enough to ask), and then asked if they would like some ice cream. He came back right away with two small cups of ice cream and a small cup of water for my little fluff-kins, and my heart was forever changed. So, to my new found puppy-loving friends at Sonic - I know you were busy, and I know I've complained a lot in this review, but I appreciate you and take back all of the mean feelings I had while waiting for sustenance. read more

This place is scamming corporate. I ordered and was told it would be ready at 9:42. I arrived at 9:40. Punched in that I was there and then 5 minutes later the screen prompt displayed a message that said thanks for your order and have a nice night. Unfortunately, I didn't receive my cold food for 20 minutes later. So, the corporate office thinks this place is running on time, but the workers are actually telling the computers/clients that their order is done when in actuality the food isn't close to done and it'll be another 20 minutes. This is so unethical, rude, and genius all at once. Unfortunately, it gets worse because we didn't get any of our condiments and were missing food but the employee who answered my phone call insisted he cooked and packed the order and there would be no refund, apologies, or attempt to make it right. At least credit me for the missing food. Double burgers were actually singles, chicken nuggets(which we didn't order) were in our bag instead of fries and all of it was cold. If you all are going to be running scams at least don't hold me hostage and say, it'll be right out, but not bring me my food for another twenty minutes. Call me and say, hey, we're running a corporate scam because we cannot be on time so will you come at 10:10 instead of 9:42? Treat me like an adult and I won't have to leave this review. read more

Gotta love the app and how easy it is to order and pick up! Plus, the app always has great deals, cant go wrong. The food is super fast and something about their fountain drinks, they just hit different so good and I always get some cherry flavor in mine - SO GOOD! Their food came out exactly as ordered, hot and fresh. Their double cheeseburger can be customized right on the app and it was great. Service is fast and friendly. The one thing is that i always feel inclined to tip as opposed to going to other chains. This location is super clean and well taken care of. read more

Probably one of the worst places i've ever been. We ordered two sundaes on the app, and when we got there they said that their ice cream machine was broken, and offered to substitute the sundaes with milkshakes. We waited 30 minutes for the milk shakes, then we didn't even get them. read more

We ordered a double burger meal with just plain topping plus lettuce and pickles, with a large mozzarella stick, and a cherry limeade, as well as two corn dogs, a three piece chicken strip, a strawberry shake with no whip, and an m&m blast with whip. The order was missing lettuce on the burger, they gave us a strawberry limeade instead of a cherry one and not a good in I might add, the m&m blast had no whip and the strawberry shake had whip, as well as there was no m&ms beyond what was on top, finally there was no mozzarella sticks at all. :( read more

Easily the fastest sonic I have ever been to. I ordered a blast and a burger with a coupon from my app, which was quickly added, and my food was delivered my a polite gentleman skating around unbelievably fast on some roller blades. I love sonic sooo much but I've never been to one with quick service so I am very pleased. Definitely recommend you stop by for some quick and tasty food! read more

Very typical of any Sonic restaurant. Good burger (tends toward the "wet" side with Mayo/Ketchup but that's the way I like my burgers) and quick service. The chicken strips are hot and fresh. Drinks are tasty and precisely what I ordered. I recommend without hesitation. read more

First and probably last time to eat here. My husband ordered a pork loin sandwich, tators, and I forgot what I had. Requested to have tomatoes, lettuce, and everything else that's in their pork loin sandwich photo. The cashier kept telling me to confirm the order on the screen. I didn't understand but finally realized the screen wasn't working properly. It just continued to display ads and I told her that. She read the orders (1 pork loin sandwich, 1 large tators, 1 whatever sandwich I ordered). I said correct. The pork loin sandwich came with lettuce and some mayo. Tators seem very little and expensive for a large order. We already asked the skater once for more napkins and ketchup. Too much hassle to send the plain pork loin sandwich back. New to the area... This place is a joke, disqusting!!! Ordered a Chicago Hot Dog, the Sonic has NO IDEA what a Chicago Hot Dog is. I couldn't even eat it the bun was so stale and the ends were hard as a rock. Needless to say the hot dog was no bigger around than a pencil. Sonic employees need to go to Chicago to see what a REAL Chicago Dog is like. False advertisement. My friend had a chili cheese dog. There was no more than a tablespoon of Chili on this so called Chili cheese dog. Also the same stale, hard bun. They must have left the bag of stale buns open overnight. My friend needed a knife to cut the chili cheese dog so I got out (because we never saw our server again) of vehicle and ran up to the inside to ask for knife..no knifes. the door to go in was filthy, sticky and full of hand prints and dirt. So I would say the kitchen/prep area was just as dirty. BLAH!! YUK!! Will not be returning and I will tell everyone I meet to stay away from the place. Maybe the health dept. needs to pay them a visit!! I have found out that the Kirksville Health Dept. is kind of lax. read more
