I'm not sure what all the bad service reviews below are for. My fiancé & I were passing through town and stopped here for dinner on Thursday night. I got a burger and tator tots, and my fiancé got the popcorn chicken and tator tots. After we ordered at the drive in, they brought the food out to our car pretty quickly. Prices were reasonable too. As for the food quality, the burger was solid and the tator tots were okay (hot and freshly prepared, but okay tasting). The popcorn chicken was very good. Overall, it was a good experience. If I were to do it over, I'd get the popcorn chicken & fries (not the tots), but the burger was also solid. read more

We frequent here often and got ice cream last night! IT WAS AWFUL. Tasted like chemicals and we couldn't eat any of it.

Online order placed at 10:50am for an 11:30am pick up. The order took 45 minutes after arriving. The store was less than half occupied. JEFF was the manager supposedly on duty, but he could be found in the parking lot, hiving dirty looks to people in their vehicles. The state inspector coincided with my visit, but left before our order even began being prepared. We'll make sure that he is more thorough as long as JEFF continues his poor practices. The food; The bacon cheeseburgers didnt have much bacon flavor. This was due to there being NO BACON! EVEN THOUGH WE WERE CHARGED FOR IT! In addition, the meat was HEAVILY overcooked. The order also specified salt for condiments since this location stopped salting their food some time ago. There was NONE. A drink carier was ordered. There was NONE. I did send the waitress back for one since there were 3 large drinks. In short, this franchise location continues to have multiple issues. ALL due to poor management. 90% of those issues seem to be when JEFF is supposed to be working. This review will be forwarded to google, yelp, and multiple other sites. The continued charging for undelivered product IS THEFT and people need to know. It will have a trickle down effect to other franchises, however, your corperate offices obviously don't care. read more

There are a lot of really terrible sonics out there, but this one might just take the cake! From being argued with by staff , none of the machines actually working properly, and waiting over 10 minutes for one drink, this sonic is terrible! read more

It seems most of the reviews are based on service. I have no issues with service. I've never eaten at sonic before. So this will be my first and last visit. I hope the burgers are better that the grilled chicken sandwiches. It was greasy and terrible tasting. Don't know how it stays in business. read more

Went in for their half price cheeseburgers on Tuesday and was told I had to download the app to qualify. I did and was pleasantly surprised how much easier it made things. When I got there I checked in on the app and a few minutes later had my food down to a tee. The food was good and the service was good, zero cap! read more

Starving and ready for my fast food. Waited 30 minutes... and received cold food. It had to be sitting there for 25 of those 30 minutes to be that cold. No communication. Couldn't even get people working there to stop when we tied. Was even missing part of order. I took it back inside and calmly stated in front of a few people, including manager, that the food was cold and after waiting 30 minutes I was returning it. All that was said in response.... 'Well, no big deal. you didn't pay for it yet'. No apologies, just blank stares otherwise. The lack of apology or any form of remorse was the final straw and why I am writing this review. We waited over 30 minutes tonight for our food with unhappy kids. Then when we got our food our hamburger and corn dog were missing! So we waited over 30 minutes for French fries and chicken strips. We paid for food and my husband and one of my sons did not get to eat. Horrible place. read more

Entire visit was a disaster! Ordered at 9:05PM and we're told the ice cream machine was broken (we ordered 2 shakes) so we switched our order to ice tea. We saw the carhop go inside to make tea. He brought us our food, less the teas. At first he confirmed a we received credit for the shakes we ordered then when we asked for a receipt that showed the credit he claimed he didn't know how the credits worked and couldn't help us. He never made or brought us our teas and our grilled cheese sandwiches were uncooked. We also witnessed out carhop lick his fingers while inside preparing food and while he was at our car, he was clearly impaired on something. His eyes were rolling back in his head, he was wiping sweat from his face, couldn't stand still and had a hard time completing a sentence. All 3 employees closed the store 30 min BEFORE closing time and left. After seeing the condition of the employee and how unsanitary things were, we didn't eat our food. This location needs immediate attention! read more

Ordered a Jr dbl cheeseburger and a small onion ring ....the food came pretty quick but the four onion rings I got were burnt so I tell them I also call to their attention you mean to tell me I just paid 2.29$ for 4 tiny burnt onion rings I explained I ordered a small not a mini So they try and make it right buy making me fresh ones ....once again I got 4 puney onion rings at this point I'm watching them play around inside having a good ole time whole I'm feeling like I just got ripped off Bottom line don't come here unless you are starving read more

#1 and #2 burgers now have mayo & ketchup on them...I almost ordered one and would have been very disappointed if I would have, so I changed to a foot long coney, and was asked if I wanted mustard, onions, etc...so I did as always at Sonic and about 80 cents was added to my ticket without anything on the menu saying so...if I had known I was going to get screwed, I would have just ordered a jalapeno cheeseburger which has mustard and taken part of the peppers off....a burger is the reason I went in the first place..... read more

The food is what you'd expect from Sonic, but the service is outstanding! We were just driving through and the woman who just helped us out was VERY quick, and anticipated our every need! I didn't have to ask for a single thing, and she was nice to boot! =) read more

I just must say that if you order something from this Sonic and they accidentally mess your order up by forgetting to bring out about half the items you ordered and paid for, don't expect the missing items to be brought out any sooner than 20-30 minutes. I kid you not. I was just about to push the button again to ask them what's taking so long and about that time, a girl handed me a bag and she scurried off. I then had to ask for straws for the 4 drinks I ordered...that was like pulling teeth to get...but, we did eventually get everything...and by that time...everything was cold. I know mistakes happen, but, that was a little much. I wouldn't say everyone's experience will be the same as mine was today, but, I just don't like the way things were handled...just saying. read more

Sonic is 100%better than it was. No longer waiting 30 minutes for a drink or food,food taste has improved tremendously. 5 star all around

Sonic has came a long way and has excellent service and people working there I will continue to eat at Sonic

This Sonic Drive In has made major improvements from what it was a few years ago. Better service food tastes much better with fresh hot sides. read more

All the reviews said that this place sucks, but I found it quite nice actually! Went at approx. 4:30pm on a Saturday and ordered several items for a hungry car full of hikers and within just FIVE minutes our carhop came out with a tray full of food for us! I got the Sonic cheeseburger as an afternoon pick-me-up and it sure did hit the spot, but the French fries were a tad too salty/over-seasoned for my liking. Will be sure to come back the next time I am in the area. read more

Worst experience. I understand this is fast food however there was NOTHING FAST ABOUT IT. 2 Fries were missing, all tots were cold, no napkins or ketchup offered or included. When we called to ask for the missing food we were talked to with a "tone". DQ next time we need fast...skip this place! read more

This sonic is terrible. Our order was perfect, but waiting for 45 minutes wasn't. There was like, 4 people working and one lady was talking to a car for 20 minutes. We had to go up and tell them that we had been waiting. We were waiting with 6 of us and non of us were very happy. I don't recommend. read more

Driving through and needed something QUICK for the kids to eat. It took them 20 minutes to bring out our cold fries and not-so-fresh popcorn chicken. Come on, franchisee. Get it together. It's frozen food you throw in the fryer. It's not that difficult. read more

I wouldn't normally rate a place at one star. However, this Sonic Drive In has been despicable for the last few weeks. I am the only car here and it took 18 minutes for them to take my order. Other recent trips to this location have also resulted in tremendously long wait times, either to place an order or receive one. I can see at least 5 people inside the location and no one has made an effort to take my order. read more

Service is generally slow. Employees are nice tho. Milkshakes are pretty thin & runny; I prefer them on the thicker side. Happy hour is always a good deal & so are the two for one burgers on Tues night. read more

Worst Sonic in America. Currently in the middle a 30 minute wait for my order. Cooper's BBQ is across the street and has a line 75 people deep....would have been faster to wait in that line for some good BBQ. WILL NEVER visit this Sonic again. read more

The burgers here seem to be slapped together. Got a burger and fries yesterday- fries were cold and tasted like they were fried the day before - not joking. Wife called and they offered to replace. What good is that for a fast lunch. read more

Unfortunately I have to say the same as most everyone on here. This Sonic location is terribly slow and has not had a good reputation for the last few years, they need a make over and quick. The staff needs to be smiling and friendly and offer a solution when the orders are late or forgotten or wrong. The store itself needs maintenance and deep cleaning inside and out. The speed of service is the number one problem here. Sonic has a standard that needs to be met and it is not. As a former Assistant Manager at an Austin Sonic I just started working as a carhop here at the Llano Sonic. I am hoping that with the new General Manager and new staff (myself included) that we can turn this store around and make the town of Llano Sonic enthusiast again. This change will take a little time but I can guarantee it is already looking and better! Please stop in again and give us a second chance to wow you guys!!
