Cary Brooks passsed away about six years ago but the business he founded in the 70s lives on. I stopped in this afternoon while passing through Salina and found Brooks Liquor to be clean and well-stocked with competively-priced merchandise and a helpful, friendly staff. Cary would be proud.

We consulted Yelp to find a decent one in McPherson, since we aren't usually in the area, and found Culver's Wines & Spirits. Located in a strip mall, it looks pretty basic from the outside. The strip mall itself I remember as being a bit run down but nothing too terrible. The inside is fine, it's a very normal liquor store that has I'd say an average selection of craft beer, wine, and liquor. We were hoping for some local brews and we found some, though the selection wasn't as robust as I was hoping. All in all it's a very decent little liquor store and will likely suit most folks needs.
