Generally speaking, my family and I have received acceptable service from this particular Sonic over the past many years. Our orders have been about 95% correct, with hot food being served to us hot, and cold drinks and ice cream being served cold. Sometimes this popular location can get quite busy, especially on weekend evenings. So, we take that into account, take some deep breaths, and remain patient. Most of the servers are polite, and genuinely work hard for the tips they deservingly earn. I think that the parking lot needs to be power washed more often, as it's usually dirty. I'm glad that I don't have to walk on it. Be aware that it can get loud here on weekends, as some customers "share" their music with the entire premises. read more

I pushed the red button at 4pm. It took 10-15 mins before my order was taken, which was 2 small blasts. I assumed they may be short staffed, so no worries. I paid and tipped via CC and waited, and waited, and waited. Had I not paid already, I would have left. At 4:50 I pushed the red button again. A male promptly answered. I politely asked him about the order I placed and told him I had been there since 4. He asked what I ordered and I told him 2 blasts. He then asked one turtle and one reeses? I said yes. No further response. About 5 mins later, Kaitlyn, the server according to the receipt, arrived. She didn't say a word. She just handed each blast and then the spoons, and then turned away. How can you pass up a place where you drive up to order and the wait staff skate your food out to you? There are no Sonics in Maine and the closest one outside Boston is a pain in the ass to get to so, whenever we find ourselves in Sonic-country, we always stop. With chains, it's difficult to differentiate one from the other but this location was easy to get in and out of (bonus points because it's on a busy street), the outside was well-maintained, the wait staff was friendly and helpful and, to top it all off, they offer fried pickles (not at every location so this was a pleasant surprise). This is the second time I've visited this location and they still can't get right. I ordered a large iced coffee but the guy taking my order couldn't hear me so he sent me a medium. Upon receiving my order I let the young lady know that I actually ordered a large and she told me not to worry and that she'd fix the mistake. Food is great! Shakes & drinks are great too! I gave this sonic 4 stars just because it takes for ever to get your food and this location has previously gave me the wrong order a few times. I guess with it being so busy there's a higher chance of mistakes. Overall sonic is nice place for a snack, but not a good choice for "fast food". read more

I want to start by saying I love sonic and am always at one since i was blessed enough to live in a city to have some. I usually have good to great service at all sonics all across memphis. I live 10 mins from two sonic in opposite directions. However, my boyfriend works out on winchester which is 30 mins from where i live. So here's a back story, my boyfriend and I had bought a little chip sorta poker chip like coupon that a guy was selling to fundraise for his daughter's softball team. The chip cost us 10$ and it read something along the lines of "one free cherry limeade or medium drink expires in 60 days", we were told we could use it once a day for 60 days. We had already used it twice at the locations near where I live. One day he decided to get a drink from this sonic and used the chip since it was there. The girl taking his order was already getting a attitude since his order was complicated by her not recognizing the chip. She then proceeded to get the drink to us once she registered the coupon and took the chip from us and when we asked for it back she replied with a snarky comment something like "no why would i?" me getting angry by the already existing attitude. I left and called for a manager asking for the chip back. He didn't recognize the chip and finally found it, I told that i paid 10 dollars for that chip and only used it 3 times at which I am at a lost. It really didn't matter much but her attitude was what got me going. He then said he will talk to his gm on getting it back to me and proceeded to thank me and to hang up. However, I stopped him and said he didn't ask for my name and number, i just wanted my chip back and his snarky comment was "well are you going to bring the drink back?" and i proceeded to say yes and we will even pay for it and then he said ok and hung up. My boyfriend comes back to get it and the manager said his gm took it to the bank because he has seen the chip before and that it has "numerical value". I called him back and said why did he tell me to come back if he wasn't gonna give it to me and all this other nonsense and we got into it pretty heavily until he told me to complain to corporate and hung up on my face. I proceeded to call back to ask for a name and a girl picked up (guessing it's the girl that took the chip) and I asked for the managers name and she lied and said that they weren't allowed to give out names and i caught her in her lie when i asked where in her policy does it say that because last i checked they had to wear name tags. She continued to be rude and also hung up in my face. Corporate got a very long phone call and I mean the chip meant nothing, it was the principle of it all. Like they were all so rude to me when i was a paying costumer and I always tip generously at places I am serviced at but goodness. This place is not a place you want to go too. If you're trying sonic for the first time, i don't recommend this one, try the one on hwy 70 or 64. They are always so nice. If this could have negative stars it would have gotten it. The hotdog was good and is the same as all the sonics however the Service leaves a bit to be desired. I specifically asked for a fork when the food was delivered and she told me it was in the bag. It was not so I called and asked for one which took better than five minutes to get delivered! No apologies from anyone and it send they could care less! read more

I give this restautant a 3 rating kindly, because it is my overall rating based on the Chrispy Chicken sandwich that was not anything like the pic on the menu, actually the true sandwich was a non-chrispy chicken sandwich. Sonics dosen't exsist in or any where around Chicago, IL. The closest one is several hours away. So imagine my delight when I was able to go to one while visiting Memphis. Haven't visited in awhile and I had to be somewhere at 7:00 am so I dropped in at 6:15 am and they were very busy. I ordered coffee and a BLT sandwich and to my surprise it was out too me rather quickly. I decided to eat there in my car because I had a little while before my appointment. The coffee was hot and excellent. The BLT was also excellent. The tomato was just right, the lettuce was crisp and the bacon To my amazement was thick and crisp. This is the worst sonic I have ever visited in my life. They are slow , rude and the food does not seem fresh. Seems like they have a bunch of young folks there who apparently have not been trained in customers service. Oh and the speakers !!!! I am from Canada and there are 0 sonics there, and anytime I visit usa this is the first fast food place I go too! I just ordered a chocolate shake and the wait was about 7 minutes which is long for 1 shake, but it was probably the best shake I ever had! It was definitely worth the wait read more

This is hands down the worst Sonic I have ever dealt with. However, as it was the only Sonic close to my house for almost 2 years I frequented this Sonic, usually on a daily basis if not twice a day. For the most part my usual order is two large drinks and they can't even get that right! 80% of the time if you order an unsweet tea they bring you sweet. Then when you ask for the correct item they take about 10 minutes to bring it to you and are in no way apologetic. Eventually it got to where they seemed to be deliberately singling me out for bad service. I would place my order, wait 15-20 minutes (for drinks!) only to see people with full meals that pulled in after me leave. Apparently for some reason they weren't ringing up my order as one of the workers told me after having to press the button AGAIN to get service. Then when they did bring the drinks on my last visit it seemed like the literally put half water half coke. I couldn't even drink it but was too frustrated to even try and wait for new drinks. Eventually enough was enough and I refuse to ever go to this Sonic again. I'm not sure why they would single me out since I have never had any disagreements with any of the servers, but if I could personally speak to the manager I would have A LOT to tell him about how awful his employees are. read more

This place is pretty consistent in getting the order wrong. I finally decided to do a review since I'm tired of giving them chance after chance to get it right. Tonight I ordered the classic crispy chicken sandwich mayo only and add a slice of cheese. The monitor showed the order as correct. The cost was $2.50. The delivery girl (teenager) quoted the order as correct. I tipped her $1.00. I did not order the grilled chicken sandwich or the chicken tender sandwich. Of course when I got home sandwich was a tender sandwich and had no cheese either. I paid $.40 for the non-existent cheese. The point here is not the money but that none of them care about doing a good job any more. I have vowed to stop there but hubby likes the sausage burrito. That's another story. Once they gave me a tot and cheese burrito instead of sausage and egg one. It was gross. I could go on and on but I have wasted too much time on this.
