This is absolutely nuts I ordered a 3$ burrito 2 of them and a hot dog and also chili cheese tots. The burritos wasn't even worth eating and the hot dog was burnt with no toppings and also the tots was not even enough for a small with no chili or cheese. And all they wanted to give us was a 10$ gift card for over 20$ worth of food these are my favorite items but I will no longer be supporting them read more

***UPDATE** 11/28/24 Got Sonic through mobile app on 11/27/24. Have not had it in years. Took them 18 minutes to bring out the food and the place was in complete darkness at 5:45 pm. Ridiculous! Ordered 4 of the $1.99 Grilled cheese burgers and 4 shakes. The bread was not even toasted! Meat was a weird taste and texture. I tend to have bad luck with going to Sonic, don't know what it is but every one I go to is not great. This one is no exception. Had to use the restrooms and they were so disgusting, just decided that holding it in was better. The service here was very slow but I only ordered a slushy for myself and a shake for my coworker. My coworker threw away her shake because it tasted sour... which means the machines might not have been cleaned. My slushy was fine. But I would rather go somewhere else next time. read more

Okay, the food is by no means 5 star quality... I mean, it's a fast food joint and so this review is based on a comparison to other fast food restaurants. The food was good for Sonic. The chili cheese coney, tots, cheddar poppers, standard burger were all above fast food standards average. The tots were definitely better than the fries though. The service is where it was at. They were moderately busy. They took our order and it came out probably within 5 minutes. The server was super nice and we didn't even have to ask for ketchup! We saw one server walk out and check on people, on her way back, stopped to make sure the place was clean. Those girls and ladies were on point! If you need something quick, I definitely recommend stopping by this place. read more

I've never had to wait so long in a drive-thru for a drink. It seems like there weren't enough people working the lunch shift on a Sunday. The drive-thru lane was slow with one person running in and out to fulfill orders and take payment. Not sure if I was worth waiting 15-20 minutes with 3 cars in front of me. read more

Recently I ordered a couple of hamburgers they brought me out room temperature cheeseburgers I immediately pointed it out to the CarHop and asked for hot hamburgers.A few minutes later they brought me out room temperature hamburgers. For service on Friday, May 10, 2024 at approximately 7:30 PM. The lights never came on as it got dark. Service is slow and not too accurate. The taste of the food was off, border line nasty. Their fried onion ring tasted like they were battered in funnel cake batter. The peanut butter that they used for my shake was OLD Smuckers Natural peanut butter, and they put a big nasty glob of it in the bottom.On top off that, this particular Sonic DOES NOT honor their "1/2 off" price of shakes AFTER 7 PM if you use the app. My wife got charged full price. This particular Sonic has made their driveway better, now they just need to get people, real people-not children, in there that know how to do stuff. We gave this Sonic a chance to redeem themselves after the last time we ordered and they screwed up. I'm not wasting any of my hard earned money on this Sonic. This place isn't worth the money for what they charge. read more

I would say worth the wait the popcorn bbq chicken is amazing especially the grape nerds slushee paired with it but I would highly recommend anyone go to sonic. I've been here twice. I used the "drive thru" both times. For what is purportedly a fast food restaurant it took me 10 to 15 minutes each time to get food. All I ordered was a double cheeseburger. I have eaten at Sonic in Conover often since it first opened. The service has really gone bad over the last few months. My last visit was the worst. My order was wrong even though I corrected them twice when they repeated it back. The person who brought out my order got an attitude when I asked if he could correct it. I finally gave him back the food and he asked what I wanted him to do. I said bring me the right order and he said "but it costs us money to redo the orders!" I imagine if they were not standing around talking and ignoring the customers they wouldnt have to redo so many orders. read more

Tried to eat here last night. They cancelled part of my order without letting me know. When I had waited 15 minutes for my onion rings, they came to my car and said "we haven't had onion rings in over 2 days" Also because I had ordered and paid online, they were supposed to refund me in cash over 3 dollars.
