Sonic has changed their fries to crinkled. Not sure I like it or not but it's a combination taste of French fries and tater tots. The taste is decent.The only thing I don't like about the change in fries is how greasy they are. I think the structure of the fries in the oil they are frying it in really saturates the fries with a heavy film coat. I would have taken a pic of the over oil coated grease on my hands but I didn't want it all on my phone. That's how gross it was. read more

Less than half the slots full, yet our two drinks (plain) took about 18 minutes. FOR REGULAR DRINKS. Apparently carhops are told to load up several orders on a tray before coming out. This saves them no time, and angers customers. Their boss needs retraining in time management and sensitivity to customer satisfaction. To see an example of an efficiently run Sonic, I suggest a visit to the location on Austin St in Georgetown, Texas. There is no reason the Pleasanton location cannot function properly. read more

Slow, slow, slow! Order taker was extremely difficult to hear, then had her screen mess up, so it took a while to get our order in. Then, it took a while to get our order, in which one of our two burgers was completely wrong. Then no receipt for our debit card payment. Terrible meal. Took forever, the place is empty. Fries were absolutely terrible -to the point that you could tell how much they were going to suck just looking at them. The corn dogs were so soggy it was sort of stunning that they had been cooked at all. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good. Obviously the rest had been sitting for quite some time waiting for the mozzarella sticks. We asked for mustard when we ordered. They forgot that, and when we asked for it after the order was delivered, it took long enough for us to finish a corn dog each to get the mustard we asked for previously. Overall, I'd skip this place and eat at any of the other adjacent restaurants. read more

Used to be one of my favorite places, have dined there for over 30 year, but the quality has taken a nose dive the last couple of years to the point that I refuse to eat there anymore. This sonic doesn't even deserve one star it is the worst Sonic location by far in the state of Texas. The owners should be ashamed it took us 30 minutes to get a tea and a coffee and when it was delivered the coffee tasted burnt. I use to manage a sonic in south Texas and I know what it takes and the Pleasanton location doesn't have it. It should be closed. Or new management should be put in place. read more

I gotta say, Sonic's Happy Hour is a pretty close second to a happy hour with alcohol. Who doesn't love cherry limeades? For half price? Which is about 90 cents? Yeah, that's what I thought. However, this Sonic gets 3 stars for it's half-assery. I ordered a New York dog, and when I got it I noticed that they had just ripped a foot-long hot dog bun in half. At least, that's what I hoped happened. Maybe someone got hungry and decided to nosh on half a hot dog bun. Either way, super shady. Either give me an entire foot long hot dog or use a 6 inch bun. read more

Unless your name is "Mija" bring your patience. About 5 min after we ordered 5 slushes a girl pulled in next to us, she was immediately greeted asked how her day was and had her order taken, two slushes and a burger combo. She must have priority because hers was the next order out. We had to wait another 5min after she left (15 min total) before we got our slushes. read more

I visited the Sonic in Pleasanton, TX today between 3-4:00. Silly me, I placed my order and realized I forgot my purse! I notified the attendant and I ran home to get my purse really quick. It was Happy Hour and the place was super busy when I came back. I let the employees know that I had come back for the order. They were AWESOME! Not only did they make my order fresh, they came out apologizing to me for the delay! The manager and server were both so nice and even gave me a couple of tokens for complimentary drinks on our next visit! You guys made my day! What a great example of excellent customer service!
