Toughest chicken fried steak I've ever eaten. Almost burnt. Do not recommend.

Toughest and dryest chicken fried steak I've ever eaten. I don't recommend. Waiter was ok, the cook must have hurried the food. The other folks we ate with were not happy with how their steak came out. We feel because we came in at 8:30 our food was rushed.

Service was pretty good and fast. I ordered the chicken wrap and it was FULL of lettuce and the chicken was very chewy, like it was made another day. It wasn't good so I ate the tortilla only after dumping out the lettuce. The sweet potato fries are awesome! I'd go again but get something different.

Definitely a pleasant surprise for Pleasanton. The food here is simple, classic, American style and it's in an ambiance much like the Rustic. It looks like much of the food isn't exactly made in house / gourmet but everything is cooked decently and for the area, it's probably a good pick for lunch. Got the chicken fried steak and while it was a bit soggy and tasted a bit pre-made, the flavors were what you expect and the waffle fries were good.

Food always decent. Ambiance is nice Problem is service. Wait staff can remember orders, management stinks and bar can't make drinks (so buy beer). 3/15/2024 we are got here 15 mins early for crawfish which started at 7. At 8 we are told another 30 mins management comes over after we ask for him and says something was wrong with boiler they had to go get another part. That's not the problem the problem is how long did you know and why didn't you let guests who are waiting know. Really 2 hours waiting on food.

California Chicken Club burger (I think that's what it's called). Tasty!

The Office had a pretty cool vibe and definitely not what you'd expect to find in Pleasanton. They've got a full bar with a great selection of drinks & draught beer. There's adequate seating inside around the bar and a handful of tables. Great service inside, but outside service was lacking. The outdoor area is great with live music and a limited bar. I'd visit again!

Oh my God the food is amazing here. Customer service is awesome

The ownership could do a lot better. They care nothing about the place other than the bar area. They need new management all the way around.

We started with the Texas Heat Bites and OMG... sooo bomb! The combination of sweet, savory, smoky, and a little heat was perfect. Definitely a must-order. The meatloaf was incredible tender and flavorful with the perfect sweet and savory glaze. The mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables paired perfectly with it. We also had the Toasted Spring Chicken, and it was just as impressive. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sweet pea risotto underneath was creamy and delicious. The asparagus and sauce brought everything together perfectly. And the drinks were GREAT! Beautifully presented, refreshing, and made really well. Between the food, cocktails, atmosphere, and Daniel's wonderful service, La Colline was such a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, both visits were disappointing. My first visit, I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The salad was bland and lacked seasoning, and the chicken had a rubbery texture that tasted like it had been cooked earlier and simply reheated. Hoping it was just an off day, we came back. This time I ordered the Spring Roasted Chicken with risotto. For a nearly $30 entrée, I expected much better. The dish looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The risotto resembled a bowl of watery oatmeal more than a properly prepared creamy risotto, and the rice was still undercooked. The chicken once again had that same rubbery, reheated texture, making it hard to believe it had been freshly prepared. My daughter ordered the chicken strips, and they were so over-fried that the breading was painfully hard to chew. She literally had to peel most of the breading off just to eat them because it was hurting her teeth. To be fair, my boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak both visits, and he said it was excellent. It looked great as well, so there are clearly some dishes they do well. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially for a local business. We genuinely wanted this restaurant to become one of our regular spots. But after two visits, the quality simply didn't match the prices or the expectations of an upscale restaurant. I hope they're able to improve because we'd much rather support local than drive into San Antonio.

For her second drink, she told the bartender to surprise her. He gave her a look and asked more than once if she was sure she wanted him to surprise her. Instead of making her an actual cocktail, he poured her what seemed to be a straight, extremely bitter liqueur. The whole interaction felt sarcastic and like he was intentionally messing with her rather than trying to make her something she would enjoy. What bothered me most was the attitude behind it. We weren't being rude, demanding, or causing problems. We were there to have a good time and experience the whole "tell us what you like and we'll make you something" concept. I did call the number listed for the business afterward trying to speak to someone about it. The person who answered said I had the wrong number and didn't know what I was talking about. I got angry during that call and said some things I shouldn't have, and I can admit that. But that doesn't change how disappointing the experience at the bar was. We expected a creative and welcoming experience and instead left feeling like my wife had been mocked. I hope management sees this and addresses it, because the concept of the place is great, but the way we were treated completely ruined it for us

Gotta say, I think it will. You walk in through the patio which is a completely different (relaxing) vibe than the bar itself. The music is noticeably different, but nice if you're trying to have an intimate conversation. Walking in, the place is decorated nicely. I'm not sure what the theme is but by the signs exclaiming "t*Ts are awesome" and "girls girls girls" I'm assuming the name is not because Cash Rules Everything Around Me. The bartender was nice and friendly. They have specialty drinks, drink + shot combos, and packaged beers. The drink prices were more than reasonable. Dive bar prices with a very nice ambience. The music was great and spanned decades and genres. I found myself dancing in my seat and enjoying my time. It wasn't very crowded but after scouring their social media they've been open for about a month. I'm anxious to see their late night food menu. I've already made plans with friends to come back and check it out. Five stars for potential. I enjoyed my time there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. TL;DR: cheap drinks, fun vibe, spacious and well decorated, classy with affordable drinks that won't break the bank. Fingers crossed on the kitchen, not yet open
