I try to limit fast food so when when I opt for it it's because I'm really craving something or I'm very tired and hungry. Today was tired and hungry .... It's BEYOND irritating to get my #combo home to sit down and eat and unwrap my burger to find a bun with ONLY a meat patty and slice of cheese. Apparently telling them to add mustard means they take everything else off. Literally meat and bread with cheese. Is it REALLY so difficult to make a damn burger to order that asking for some mustard throws the whole thing off?? . Also got a kids meal straw for my R44 drink. This place seriously needs to revisit staff training. Our hospitals are overwhelmed with Covid Delta right now, our nurses are on the brink of exhaustion... this kind of lack of commitment to service is unacceptable. read more

If you want to roll the dice on this Sonic location then know going in you might be one of the 10% that come through here and get good food. Three strikes for me and never again. Cold food. Burger meat cold. Cheese on there was ice cold like out of a cooler. Requested no ketchup and was loaded on there thick. Staff don't pay attention to detail on two of my three visits. Paid by cc and they had to come out three twice to verify payment. They were looking at the wrong ticket. Cooks need more training. We have a family member at hospital, in dire condition. My husband stopped on the way home to get food here. The order was incorrect. A very nice young lady came to help. The second order came out, she informed the co-worker, it was wrong also. He told her rudely that it was not, for he knew what he was doing and it was right. It wasn't. Well, when hubby got home almost an hour later, the order was still wrong. We're only 20 minutes away. But it took him that long to mess up twice. The food was not good, leather meat, dried cheese, with bacon, nothing else. Did not ask for bacon. Bun was fresh. did not, could not eat it. I called the store to inquire, was hung up on after 4 minutes on hold and a busy tone since. Should not act like a know it all, if ya can't back it up. maybe, let the lady who cared enough, help! Put her in charge! This type of service is not worth higher wage or tip. We just threw money away tonight, for nothing. The one person who tried to help, was dismissed, disrespected, and talked rudely to by the know it all screw-up co-worker. I called the corporate office and filed complaint, really hope they do something about it! Just wanted a decent meal, before a few hours sleep, then back to hospital. Worst Sonic I have ever been to. The speaker in the drive through is terrible. You can't hear the staff and they can't hear you. Takes 20 minutes minimum for your order to be ready and the food is never good. I keep hoping it'll be better because I usually really enjoy sonic but they continue to disappoint. The food is good, hot, and quick. The service is ok given that it's mostly high school kids learning how to work. It's nice to be able to sit in your car and have the food brought to you. It makes the perfect place to go when you're day is busy and you don't have time to go into a place to eat.... you can even finish your meal on the road making the environment that much better and easier when you're time is limited. read more

I've stopped by here many, many times over the past 17 years making trips back and forth to Mississippi from Florida. Sometimes I stop to eat and other times I stop just to get a cherry limeade or one of their slushes. I've ordered burgers and chili cheese coneys. The food has always been correct, hot, and good. The place is clean and the car hops are friendly. It's very conveniently located if you're traveling on Highway 98. Honestly, this is the main reason I have stopped here so many times. Not to mention, after 17 years of patronizing the restaurant, I've never had one single problem or complaint. That's a long time to be consistent. So a week and a half ago, I placed a decent-sized order and my cheese tots only had half the amount of tots and a literally piece of cheese. Like a corner from the cheese slice they put on it. So I called up and the manager took care of it, put me down for a replacement + a shake to make up for the trouble (appreciated!). Today I swung by to pick up my remake tots and also ordered a jr cheeseburger with chili, cheese and mayo only. Got charged for the chili, pulled over to eat and discovered there was no chili... It's like they took a table spoon, dipped it into the chili and then grazed the burger with the back of the spoon so whatever chili sauce didn't drain yet was wiped onto the burger. A quarter-sized smearing of chili sauce, not even a speck of meat. Guys... y'all have got to do better. I keep coming back, giving chance after chance, but dude... The food is good - y'all just have *got* to start paying attention at some point. Stay safe. read more

Worst fast food visit I've had...ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, no tomatoes, no mayo....the sandwich came out with tomatoes and mayo. Pushed they button to tell them and they apologized and brought a new sandwich, it STILL had mayo on it. Called them again and they acted aggravated and like we were lying. Every time I come to this sonic. I am disappointed because I think maybe next time it will get better but it doesn't. They are slow taking up to 20+ minutes to bring food out. Speaker isn't loud and they mess up your order. If you say to only put something on your burger, they ignore that and just put everything. They also forget food that you ordered. There was this dude Oscar that works there he was so rude when my friend ask for sauce he ignored her multiple times and I was talking to him when he brought me my food and he said "I'm sorry I can't hear you these people are too loud" right in front of me to the people on the head set, he made my friends drink and it tasted terrible like he did it on purpose so this girl remade it for us and she was the sweetest I couldn't get her name though. The last two times I have been here, my food came out within a minute or two meaning nothing is fresh. We always get the coneys and they were so old and rubbery, they were inedible. Same for the chicken poppers. All the fries were cold and soggy. My bill was $40 both times and I will never be back. They should be ashamed with the food they serve and charge people for. read more

I really want to give this Sonic location (the one in Semmes, AL in front of Wal-Mart) a good review but I just can't do it. They lack any consistency what so ever. Good one day and terrible the next. The only thing they consistently do is get your order wrong. I had to send back both of my cheesy pretzel dogs because one had barely any cheese and the other had even less. The waitress was fairly nice but seemed annoyed that I asked for them to be done over again. The french fries were mushy and greasy and taste like the oil they were cooked in was VERY old and burnt. This is really really really that last chance that I will ever give this Sonic location. To bad cause I do really love Sonic's food. :( read more

Recently stopped by on a trip and I found the fella who waited on us so friendly and efficient. Our order came timely and was perfect. I asked to speak to his manager because I wanted to compliment him and he flashed a dimpled smile and said "M'am, I am the manager and I am glad you are pleased!!"
