We visited this location twice while staying at the hotel across the street. On Friday night, the young lady with the snake bite piercings was very friendly, which made me want to return the next night. There was a brief five-minute wait before someone came to take our order, and on the first night, they politely said, "Ring the bell when you're ready." However, our experience on Saturday night around 10 PM was very different. The staff member with a ponytail and curly bun had the worst attitude I have ever experienced, was not welcoming, and borderline rude. While the ice cream was good, customer service is everything. When I kindly mentioned this to her shift leader, I overheard her say, "Someone is complaining about me, but I don't really care," which was extremely disappointing. She then got an attitude because I couldn't get the door open to leave and asked her for assistance, she rudely pushed the door. No have a good night or anything. This is extremely rude for no reason. Overall, the ice cream is enjoyable, but the extremely poor attitude and inconsistent customer service ruined the experience. Judging by the other reviews I see the teenage attitude is a frequent occurrence. read more

Ordered a small cup of custard... wasn't filled up AT ALL Ordered sprinkles and it had maybe 5 on top. MIND YOU I've ordered this multiple times and have never had a problem with the service or the quality of my icecream. I am so disappointed and will not be back. read more

Ordered a simple chocolate ice cream cone and it was literally dripping down the side when I got it. Then once I tried to eat it it had ice chips all in it and tasted like it was old as Jesus. Not what I expect out of a $6 ice cream cone. Was definitely my last trip to Bops in mobile. read more

The staff was really kind and patient. The interior was also clean and many places to sit. My concrete was good however, it wasn't thick like I was expecting and the mini size was like $7. So overall I don't know if I would be coming back. I would prefer Culver's custard over this. read more

When we moved to Semmes, we were so bummed that both Culver's & Freddie's were so far away, but then we discovered Bop's. Their frozen custard is heavenly, and so much closer to home! We'll definitely be coming back. read more

We went through the drive through for a quick after dinner treat. The guy at the window was very patient as we ended up ordering 5 items overall and my partner and I had never been to this location before and needs time to look over the menu. I would say price point and portions were pretty comparable to that of other establishments, however; I noticed that they charge an extra fee for sugar free and the lactose/vegan options. I totally get the charge for the "special" selection. I was excited to see a dairy free option in the menu when often times I don't get to enjoy a cold dessert on family outings. I ordered a mini concrete and was a little disappointed when I tasted the dairy free custard was freezer burnt and there were chunks of ice throughout the custard. I'll be back with the family since they enjoyed their items but maybe pass if the only option I can enjoy isn't going to be as fresh as the rest of the selections. read more

Shaved ice AND custard, convenient location and friendly staff. What's not to love? There's also a drive through: they got pretty busy after we ordered and seemed pretty quick about not having a long wait. The custard was really good. Will definitely be back. read more
