I'm usually really hesitant of this sonic since it went down hill about 6 years ago. The past two or three times I've been here since the start of the summer has completely changed my mind. It's really clear they've turned this place around in the past couple of months. My food has always been beyond super quick; today I placed a mobile order (first time in over five years I've been able to use the app here) and it was ready in four minutes. Came out a minute after check in. My food was so fresh I had to wait for it to cool off!! Unheard of. Not to mention it's super clean over here now. No trash on the ground, nothing overflowing. My first time at Sonic Burgers. Tasty double-burger with tots on the side but most options, although tasty spell trouble if you're trying to grab a snack, even with minimum health consideration. Anyway, must be a hit for the teen crowd or those 30 or less. Quick service but now that I've tried them I know what the expect. read more

Terrible service. We ordered on the app to save time and had to wait in the stall for 30 min while they serviced the drive thru. Our food finally came out and it was cold like it had been sitting there for a while. Just a heads up - do not come here if you want quick service or warm food. read more

I wish I did not have to give this place one star!! Horrible! We sat in the drive through for 5 minutes, no one said I will be right with you or acknowledge anyone was there. So we pulled up to the window to just give them our order there at the window. There was a truck ahead of us we waited another 12 mins for him to get his hotdog. We pull forward to give them our order, they looked and saw us there at least I think they did with all the grease, finger prints that was smudged all over the windows. Again waited 5 mins, finally heard them take the cars order behind us because the speaker was so loud thinking great they will open the window. NOPE still doing what ever they was doing besides taking orders. We left.. This place needs good management to get ppl in that wants to take care of their customers and a good cleaning! read more

At 12 miles away, this is the closest Sonic to me, and we generally eat here a couple times a month. Most of the time the food is hot, tasty, and exactly as ordered, but I could tell while ordering that today was going to be different. I have no speech impediments, speak quite clearly, quite loudly, and I almost never have to repeat myself. Today I had to repeat myself several times to someone who was quite rude and seemed bent on intentionally screwing up our order, which was nothing too special. I ordered a #2 burger, +ketchup, mustard and mayo. Then a chili-cheese coney, and a 'carhop special' which was a double cheeseburger with tots. That one, I ordered -pickles -mustard. Lo and behold, I look at my screen and "Chloe" had removed the pickles and mustard from my #2 burger instead. I said, NO, the #2 burger is +ketchup/mustard/mayo, and the double cheese is NO pickles and NO mustard. So she adds the pickles back to the #2, puts -pickles for the double cheese, and asks me if that will be all. No, I say... I still need the minus mustard on the double cheese, and +ketchup/mustard/mayo on the #2. She fixes the number 2, asks me if all is OK and I say no, we still need NO MUSTARD on the double cheeseburger. She says, "Got it" and I say ok, that's all. When the order is ready, she and another girl come out to the car. The one girl just leaned down enough to see in, gave a big grin and walked away. The person who brought the food calls back my order, still leaving off the 'minus mustard' which I pointed out, and she very hatefully says, "It doesn't COME with mustard!" I say, OK, sorry about that, but it sure seems that someone could've mentioned that once during the order and saved me a lot of trouble. And OH, by the way, the picture of this burger on your site very clearly shows yellow mustard. (Attached a shot of that) Wife hates it. I give her $25 for a $20.38 order... keep the change. Little did I know. I arrive home, 12+miles away, pull out the food, and see that they've taken pickles, mustard and ketchup off the number 2 burger. I'm a bit frustrated, after all that back-and-forth with a rude server to make sure it was right... but I pull the condiments from the fridge and fix the burger myself. Then my wife bites into her burger, the double cheese. OMG, there's mustard AND pickles on this, she says. What? You've gotta be kidding me. Well, at least I know why the second person came to the window with the smart-ass grin now. I don't forget faces, and I generally tip fairly well, but I can guarantee that you'll never get another cent from me. Nobody at this Sonic would answer the phone between 6pm and 8pm when I tried. It just went straight to voicemail, and nobody returned my call from the messages I left either. Sad, really. The family, including myself, loves the food And like I said earlier, the food is "usually" pretty great for what it is. But blatantly screwing up someone's order, and giggling about it with your little friends? I can't overlook that. I think I'll skip it. There's another one a few miles further and we'll give that one a shot instead. Maybe unless I need my car jumped off. ;) Owner, manager... Take a look at what's going on here. I am concerned that our local Sonic restaurant here in Villa Rica, GA is not being overseen by upper management as it should be. They are always "out" of one thing or the other. Their milkshake/blast machine has been broken down for months, maybe even a year, and no one seems to take care of that. This morning I stopped at the speaker to order my breakfast, a burrito, and the attendant told me that the store hadn't received any eggs in 3 weeks. That is inexcusable!! Someone needs to get on the ball or that place will close just like the one did in nearby Carrollton, GA. read more

We went through the drive thru, the wait was extensive, we ordered a 12 pc bar b que wings (they were out of buffalo), 12 pc asian, 12 pc garlic parm, 12pc sweet sesame and tater tots. at 5:18 pm , but didn't get our food until 5:39 and then our tater tots were cold! I operate a route in the Vila Rica area and have been doing so over 11 years. I'm not usually close to Sonic's at lunch time so I have gone to other business. On this particular day and being I operate out of a truck that is to tall for the over hang, I parked next to the street and approached the building to order. I could not find a walk up window to place my order and couldn't get the attention of the employees inside the restaurant. After five minutes trying I decided they didn't need my business anyway so I went on to another competitor. I haven't been back since and never will. read more

My wife and I were at Sonic 4346 located at 100 Park Drive Villa Rica GA on Sunday 3/29 around 7:00PM. While there our car battery went dead and one of your employees was kind enough to use his own car to jump start our car and get us on our way. It is nice that you have someone who is kind enough to lend a hand to a customer who needed help.......he did not have too but he told us he would be happy to help us out and we are grateful for the kindness this young man displayed. His name may be Tristan and he drives a orange dodge charger....... I generally only get a special breakfast burrito, hold the tater tots, sub bacon for sausage, spread the jalapenos out, two packs of salsa. I have always gotten exactly what I ordered, in both Villa Rica and Douglasville, and the car servers have been courteous and efficient. I look forward to opportunities to visit these Sonics. My biggest disappointment lately is that one in Siler City, NC, where I was recently didn't open until 9, and I had to be miles west of there by 9. Excellent breakfast burrito, generous filling. Stopped in on a Saturday night, the hubby and I wanted a chocolate malt. Well that didn't quite happen. They don't close until 2am on Saturday so why on a busy weekend night would you shut the milkshake machine down for cleaning almost 3 hours before you close. This place is absolutely pitiful. I've been here a few times as it's one of the only places in town. I'm currently writing this review as I sit in the drive through line. There are 5 cars ahead of me. I have been in line for over 15 minutes already and they have only serviced two cars. This place always has slower service than a cemetery but this is absolutely absurd. If today is anything like every other time I've been here the food will be wrong and cold. I don't understand how you can't place an order for a burger and fries and service the next customer. Even though there is a limited selection in town please avoid this place atoll cost. It's conveniently located inside a truck stop and I now see why. You need to refuel after waiting in line. I'm not sure if they can't find help or just can't find help that cares. I've been to sit down restaurants with faster service than this stale "fast food" joint. Waiting 30 minutes for just shakes and and drinks. Out of cheese and chicken...yet 2 cars pulled up beside me and ordered items with cheese on it and chicken...both got their orders and left before I got mine. And the shakes were only half full for a medium. Could get no answer on a manager to speak with so I left. Corporate will be getting a call...seeing this is the second time I have waited more than 30 minutes for a drinks and/or shakes. Great remodel....now work on customer service. read more

Today 9.9.16 around 1:35ish pm they messed up my order twice within mins apart bcas I had to get a replacement "was not right also" omg must be some type of idiots taking orders & preparing food in there N management seem to not care about the inconvenience they caused me all she had to say was "sorry" after all that I had to ask for my $ back N went elsewhere! PS Sonic management when someone is taking drive thru orders they should repeat the customers order back (since U guys don't have a order screen). Once they started to take my order they didn't understand no salt on the tots. Even though this restaurant was recently remodeled the speaker system didn't work well. I have had problems with the drive thru not answering the speaker when I pulled up to order. This happened twice then I called the corporate number. We also have a problem with the no mayo request. I would say that our order has been wrong about 70% of the time we order there. I love their milkshakes but will not return because of the bad service. Unfortunately the location on Hwy 5 is not much better, so we now get our shake fix at Arby's! read more

I've had there hamburgers, they are pretty good nothing special. Only get them on the half price days, over wise expansive. Shakes are okay, cheesecake ones suck cause it all goes to the bottom. read more
