This is the first time I have been to a cold stone and I will be going back! Being that they have an assortment of flavors that typical ice cream shops don't have, I was undecided on which flavor to get but the young ladies let me try a couple. I decided on sweet cream, ordered my families ice cream and got up to the register with my groupons on my phone. That is where everything went sour (so I thought). My groupon literally disappeared eventhough I had email confirmation of purchase and another email with a button to "redeem now " Nothing worked. The young ladies were so helpful not only trying to help with looking at my groupons but finally (after just asking to pay to avoid holding up the line) she offered to just let me go on the honor system and I call groupon(30min wait) then redeem at home. That was so nice so the second groupon called me back I was sure to not only get the issue resolved but have them redeem the vouchers immediately. Not impressed. First time at this location .. second experience with the brand. Went in got Oreo overload : Sweet Cream Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips, double the OREO® Cookies and Fudge. Looked ok. I got it to go with a waffle bowl. My cousin got 2 ice creams as well. We were 3 miles away from the house. Although it was hot outside.. my ice cream should not have melted to the point where I could have poured it in a cup and drank it like a milkshake. We attempted to put my cousin's ice cream in the freezer the lid just slid off Ice cream oozing out the cup.. one big melted mess. NEVER WILL I SPEND MY MONEY HERE. Service was ok.. I think the girl that served me was new and didn't understand that I wanted my ice cream in a waffle bowl. So when I was handed the cup I stated I wanted a regular waffle bowl, not the ones that were dipped. But another worker, apologized and gave me the waffle bowl. The waffle bowl, I poured my ice cream in when I got home, mind you half of the small cup I had to pour out bc it was so messy and melted. That was horrible.. I don't partake in " going to get ice cream" often but I would hope that if I drive 3 miles it should at least hold up. Do Better. Not a Fan. Will not Return. That's for me. I've been going here for years and it's always been ok but I just had the worse experience. My 3 kids and I came in at 9:30pm (not even right at closing) and as they were making up their minds on what to order, they took half the ice creams away. When my kids would ask for an ice cream that was gone, they would say "oh no, these are your only options" ...tell a picky 7 year old and a 9 year old that they have to make up their minds ALL over again. I understand they want to go home but how do you run an ice cream place without ice cream???? Why in the world would you take the ice cream away BEFORE your customers order??? So me (18) and my sisters (14,15) went in to get ice cream and my little sister has a peanut allergy we read the menu and nothing about peanut butter was said on the menu so she asked to sample. She tastes peanut butter and asks the lady either Ashley or harmony (so we were told) and this heavier set lady (one of the two) said "are you allergic" which she answered "yes, severely" which she proceeds to GIGGLE and when asked to check ingredients she takes 5 minutes (which at this point the 15 year old is having a reaction and throat is starting to close). So we hurry and pay but in the meantime try to get her ice cream and this other girl (short, long black straight hair) proceeds to get the 15 year olds order and uses the same spoons so we say we are the allergy order and need accommodation. She gives the other girl a look and acts like this is the biggest inconvenience ever. So we rush to target after I leave a $0.00 tip and she is now throwing up and needs to go to the ER. I called the place to get names and they acted dumb and acted like a million people came in at 10:15 so when I call back and tell the girl she is laughing and said basically I'm lying so now tomorrow we are going to check cameras tomorrow with the manager tomorrow. I've been coming to this location on and off for quite a long time. It's been a while since my last visit and it appears they have upgraded the store a bit. It was very clean, including the bathrooms. Some people say that this place is overpriced, but after getting the smallest portion with a couple add-ons for just over five dollars, that's worth it to me and quite filling. I love that they actually have plant-based options now that are not just sorbet. Today I had a delicious chocolate made with almond milk. Service is attentive as long as you are at the counter. My only critique which seems pretty consistent over the years, is the staff is typically pretty young. That's not normally a problem, however, they're not super professional when behind the counter if they are not serving guests. They do a good bit of cutting up and cussing which for me isn't really a big deal, but for those looking for a family atmosphere it could be problematic. First time "visiting" this location and from the time we opened the door there was a strong, unpleasant smell (so bad you can smell it through your mask). As we waited in line, we were very skeptical because of the foul smell of the establishment. The place was semi-clean, the staff wore gloves. Only recommendation I would suggest is hair nets for the staff who's hair was freely out, swinging. Unfortunately we didn't stay to try the ice cream due to being turned off by the smell. read more

I love Coldstone! It's, without a doubt, my favorite Ice-cream/frozen yogurt spot. Seriously, nothing else compares so don't even try lol. I'm sad to see that several of them are closing around town. :( This isn't my usual location but my wife and I were visiting Sweetwater park and decided to get Icecream before heading home. This Coldstone is about 5miles up the highway from the park in Douglasville. It was pretty crowded when we got there but the lines moved quickly, the staff was friendly and they got our orders right which is important when there are so many possible add-ins and variations in one single order. The location was also very clean. I was pleased to see that Coldstone offers so many new items that were not on the menu the last time I visited including shakes, slushies, Icecream sandwich cookies, cupcakes with Icecream and "hotstone" items that are warm desserts with Icecream on top--sounds yummy! Overall, my experiences at Cold Stone are generally pleasant. I enjoyed taking my daughter to Cold Stone because the Ice Cream is good. My sons enjoy the ice cream as well. With that said, we noticed that there is little to no diversity at the Douglasville Cold Stone (no male employees). I have several sons and a daughter. My wife and I raise our children to embrace diversity. Personally, I enjoy Cold Stone ice cream over Yogli Mogli frozen yogurt. Until the business become more inclusive and less divisive, I will continue taking my business to Yogli Mogli /McDonald's because they have a more diverse staff. The ice cream may not be as good but it's small sacrifice and a greater teaching point for my kids. read more

Word to the wise -- I think there used to be another location for this on Chapel Hill, as my Google Maps mistakenly tried to tell me -- it's currently located in the shopping complex across the highway from Target (by Provino's restaurant). This weekend was my first time hittin' up a Cold Stone. I'd heard great things about it from others and after sweating my way through an afternoon at Zoo Atlanta, as me and the bf headed home, ice cream just sounded like it'd hit the spot. Upon arrival... Every. Single. Concoction. Sounded. Amazing. I read and re-read the signature and favorites menus, like, three times -- and still didn't know which to pick! I went with something that involved cake ice cream with cookie dough and chocolate chips (with extra cookie dough, no whipped cream - excellent choice). I ordered a medium which was a terrible idea because I barely got close to half before it was melting and I was full. (My bf later ate my leftovers out of our freezer...bastard!) It is super cool how they create the mixture for you (it reminded me of how they make pizza!). Next time I'm definitely making my own concoction... It's amazing how delicious they make ice cream. But it is quite spendy -- I can't imagine the ticket for a family when we spent about $15 on two cups of goodness, a water and a little tip (altho, my bf pointed out that the kid's size looked about the same at half the price -- wonder if you have to be under 12 to order one?). I bought a cake from them and I was so displeased with the quality, not to mention they were suppose to make it a chocolate cake and it ended up being vanilla. I asked that the cake be ready by 1pm I arrived at about 1:05 ish the "cake decorator" was 25 minutes late then she had no idea what to write on the cake I just wanted happy birthday and my daughters name. This cold stone is a nice decent spot. It's closes to my house so I always come to this one. The last two visits my boyfriend ordered a like it size. Both time this new girl charged him a love it because she made his order to big. I don't understand why he would have to pay for a larger size if he initially asked for a smaller size. I'd prefer the lady scoop some of the ice cream out to make it fit a Like It size so there isn't any additional charge for something that isn't the customers fault. The worst cold stone I've ever been to. I've been to this location 3 times always hoping that the previous time was just an "off day". The ice cream stone is very messy, as if it only gets properly wiped down once a day. And the ice cream is very soft and melts within seconds. It melts so fast that it's almost soup consistency even before it's put in my cup! Ridiculous! Management really need to change a few things at this location. Tip: Go to BRUSTERS instead. read more

I love cold stone and the strawberry blonde is my favorite. However my fiance and I don't go often anymore because when we do they either don't have what we want or something else. Tonight we went I got my usual strawberry blonde which I don't believe had the graham crackers but was told it did. I come to this location 2 to 3 times a week and I always get good service. Today was the exception, the lady helping me needs to take a customer service class. She was acting as if I was bothering her by placing my order. She asked me what I wanted and she said nothing else to me. I said can I have extra of this and that and she didn't say anything back. I told her I also wanted the waffle bowl which she didn't give me. She put too much ice cream in the cup and when she placed the top on, it started spilling all over. Instead of wiping it she puts this mess in the bag. There was ice cream all over the top of the bag and I told her I need a new bag. She put my bag to the side and walked to the back.
