Tip or No Tip? That's the question. At this particular location I was told that they would soon have a feature where you could tip with your credit/debit card. I was excited because I rarely ever carry cash on me. The debate between whether or not you should tip the car hops has been ongoing for years. We'll not talk about that and go straight to the business. What can I say? It's Sonic. Nothing special. It is what it is. Food is neither great nor horrible. Not a huge fan. My favorite thing to get is the cheddar peppers. I could eat 100 of those. I'd probably regret it after, but it would be so worth the agonizing heart burn that would come later. I will say that I like Sonics ice cream better than DQ. Some would like to debate me on that, but in my opinion it just tastes better. And the wide variety is also wonderful. The only bad part is choosing. The one thing I think this location could do better is to keep the trash cans cleaned up. There is one on either side of the building and they are both overflowing every time we stop in. Happy hour from 2pm-4pm is a great time to visit. Half price soft drinks and slushies. *****Update on this location. They removed half of their drive up self service kiosk menus and they are parking employee cars in some of the spots for the drive up kiosk so you can't use them. I don't use the app.. I uploaded some pictures of the cars for you so maybe the owner will look at this and handle this properly rather than just say thank you for the update and if he does anything , the owner and the manager oughta be ashamed of themselves. We had to park in a customer pick up and get out and use the self walk up kiosk that didn't work ... that was gonna bite yall in the ass. You This store is amazing they always get my order Incorrect and the service is horrible, I even called ahead and asked if they had the unicorn slushy and straws. I was told yes I come up here and order the unicorn slushy for my granddaughter and I'm told that we don't serve the straw only in the morning and then came back and told me we don't serve the straws at all. shittiest sonic ive ever been to, ashamed its in my town. today, pulled into a stall, pressed the red button, and it timed out. pressed it again, lady says something and "move to the next one" so i did. I've been in the parking lot for 20 minutes. I get my food. The fries are ice cold and hard and thin as potato sticks. Customer service is not great. The parking lot is nasty. The sidewalks have never been cleaned. Also, you need four-wheel-drive to get out of the place. I would close my doors if I couldn't do a better job running a business. read more

I have been on 3 separate occasions and have done an online order so it would be ready when I got there and have had to wait 25-30 minutes each time. The screen will say your order is on its way and I will still wait another 15 minutes. Not to mention the food is not near as good as the sonic in Lafayette. Which doesn't make sense since it should be the same!? If you want "fast" food, do not come to the sonic in westmoreland. read more

Living in A small town there really isn't alot of places to eat that are not fast food. We get so tired of fast food and who wants to drive 30-45 minutes to shit down and have a meal, get your tummy good and full and then have to drive back. I really pray that they would get a few big restaurants in this rinky dink town that has a wide variety on their menu. Sonic is great but they do not deliver. we went 11-8-19 we got our milk shake , it was already melted, so they gave us a new one and it was a vanilla shake instead of a chocolate one, our blast was 3/4 was fill and had almost no cookie dough or m&ms in it, the wait time was almost 15 min and there was only 3 other cars there , worst sonic we have ever been to. read more

REALLY depends " although it shouldn't " on time of day you go to this Sonic. I gave it 4 stars this trip. . That's mostly because the car hop girls are so nice. Yesterday 6/2/16 at lunch the food was Really good . If you go at night or weekends it's a coin toss on the food & service. read more

My experience with this Sonic is that twice, I ordered a CB with no onions and twice I got onions. Got these to go (on separate occasions) and by the time you find out it has onions, you are ten miles down the road. I won't stop at this Sonic again. Or any other for that matter. On the plus side? Sonic usually has a soft bun that does not crumble and fall apart like so many other fast food businesses. Another reason I stay away from Sonic is that I resent having to toss in a tip. They should have a walk up window where you can order without the extra money. NO food is worth what they charge and paying extra is a downer. They are the ONLY fast food business where tipping is expected. I used to ALWAYS ask for extra pepper and the skater never had it on the first trip. Looked like they were angling for another tip when they came back with the pepper. And, finally!!!! Eating in the car is often times a disaster!!! Spilled food or drink is customary. Sonic DOES have outside tables, but in cold weather, it is not an option. read more
