Period. My wife and I both ordered the "build your own" pancake trio. She went with sweet potato, chocolate chip, and banana bread pancakes. I went with two sweet potato and one chocolate chip because when you've found perfection, why get cute? The sweet potato pancakes are the headliners. Fluffy, but with enough substance to hold up to their special syrup, which should probably be classified as a controlled substance. Together, they're ridiculous. Then there's the chocolate chip pancake. The chips melt into the hot pancake, creating something that lives somewhere between breakfast and dessert. Add a little of their special butter and a touch of maple syrup and suddenly you're questioning why anyone eats anything else before noon. Every bite reminds you why people line up here year after year. Sixty-five years of making pancakes gives you plenty of time to get it right. Pancake Pantry has. Five stars.

Our selections involved 2 orders of Waffles, 1 set of Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes, and French Toast. Meat sides were evenly split between Andouille sausage (for a little extra spice) and bacon, while eggs were either poached, scrambled, or over easy. I especially appreciated that my "Poached Hard" request came back spot on. The Pancakes/Waffles/French Toast were all light, tasty and well served by the maple syrup. It was all delicious and perhaps too much food. We were all happy with our choices and appreciated our upcoming walks to work all this off.
