went looking for a new shoe to workout in. two young boys…read moreworking more worried about watching reels on their phones then helping me. asked for help and got a very short answer than no other help. stood at the shoe rack looking for ten minutes. neither one approached me asking if I needed help or offering assistance. customer service must be a dying skill. dicks, please do better. I was there to purchase a highly priced and quality shoe and left with nothing and feeling discouraged.

She said "I guess I can check to see if we do" and WOW sure enough they do! She then says "oh wow it says we do...but it was shipped to us in February" I stared at her and she stared back at me because I have no clue what that sentence means. I asked "so are you going to point me in the right direction?" And she goes "oh it's in our backroom." And again stares at me without saying anything else. I say "ma'am I'm not an employee I can't go into your back room- can you get it for me then?" She says "uh hang on" then calls over another cashier who looks around the front of the store for a second and says "yeah they're not up here" I then begin to question if I'm in the twilight zone and state "she says you have them in stock but their in your backroom. I would like to purchase one can someone go and get me a can of pepper spray?" The cashier repeats that theyre not upfront- to which I finally break and stare "it appears that I'm being an inconvenience to you all by asking you to do your job while you're at your job. Clearly no one wants to help or sell this product to me so I will take my business elsewhere" I can't recommend going to another location. I get that the product I'm looking for isn't a regularly sold item at Dicks but for Christ sake; if it's available why is no one trying to sell a customer their product? And it made me look like the asshole- which makes me not only never want to come back here but to write a review on how awful the place is to convince more customers to not come here. Buckeye Sports Center - Shame on you!!!…read more Saturday of last week I went to Buckeye Sports Center to pickup my skis that were being tuned and to pickup another set of older skis that I attempted to sell at their annual ski swap. My older skis did not sell and I needed to pick them up. I was late picking up my skis as a result of my Father's illness, death and funeral. Buckeye Sports Center informed me that because I was late picking up my skis from the ski swap that I was not entitled to the return of my skis or the 200 dollars that I was attempting to sell them for (for which I was to receive store credit). Please note that Buckeye Sports still had plenty of other skis in back remaining to be picked up, they just for a very odd reason did not have my skis. I gave my return ticket to the store clerk and he stated that their records indicated that someone had already picked up my skis. My response was, "well clearly you gave my skis to the wrong person." The clerk responded, "how do we know that" - implying that I was lying to him. Please note that I have been a customer of Buckeye Sports for several decades and as recently had 4 pairs of skis tuned by them. I asked the clerk to review the situation with the owner of Buckeye Sports who was in back and he did. The owner did not have the respect, nor the character, to speak directly with me and instructed the clerk to tell me that there was nothing ownership was willing to do. Thereby callously disregarding why I was late picking up the skis and completely ignoring the fact that the reason why the skis were not there was because his employees made a mistake and gave my skis to another customer who had similar skis. Mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for Buckeye Sports' poor treatment of me as their customer and unwillingness to correct the mistake that was made by their staff member. Needless to say, I will never shop at Buckeye Sports. Their actions yesterday demonstrate bad business practices and even worse business ethics.

They did an excellent job educating me about my new boat as this is my first boat after purchasing a Hobie Pro Angler from them years ago. They put a lot of time, attention, and detail into prepping my boat so it would be water ready. They worked with me to get all the features on the boat that met my needs. VIP Treatment with the boat pickup as they were flexible with scheduling, had a congratulations sign, everyone walking on the boat took their shoes off, they consistently offered drinks/restroom, their service guys came out to answer technical questions, and they highlighted critically important parts of the manual so I may quickly revisit for review as a lot of information was covered during pick up. They don't just want to sell you, but they want to make sure you are set up for success, you are safe, and you have an all around great experience on the water and with Buckeye. Customer oriented all around. Would recommend anyone give Buckeye the first stop before looking elsewhere.

Famous Footwear has a great selection of shoes of various styles, brands, and sizes. You really have to watch the prices on the shoes because they do fluctuate quite a bit. Expect to pay $70 or higher on many of the shoes. The is a style of shoe I bought about 6 years ago and still on display in the store. However, the price is much higher than I paid previously. There is a few rack of clearance shoes as well. There is usually a few workers in the store to help you, but most likely to point you in a direction especially if there are multiple groups in the store. Most times, the personal experience of measuring for a shoe size is dependent on the customer. In the front of the store, there is a spinning gondola of drawstring bags and bookbags primarily Nike and Adidas. If you don't see a shoe size or style you like, an associate can order it and ship it to you. You may have to ask especially if the store gets busy. Always check the Famous Footwear app for great deals BOGO's on shoes and more. The app also gives Birthday rewards.
