I'm very stupid for believing that I will get results from this company. First of all, the doctor no longer worked there soon after my procedure. I watch him perform the procedure and felt something wasn't right. My story is long and very detailed . If you don't have time to read; here is the just of the story: *Get a consultation from a Dr before you put any money down. *The consultants are done by sales people. They will not be with you. They are trying to make a sale. *Long wair times for any type of appointment. *Inconsistent and inaccurate information will be given by nursrs staff and consultants *NOT worth the money, go somewhere else that will charge less for more work. *Not honest will give you the runaround *Possible Contract Drs with other motives I started my journey with Sono Bello in December of 2020. My friend and I started together. We both spoke with consultant Kristi . She was very kind, warm, and seem very knowledge. After months of making payments it came time for my surgery. This is where I should have stuck with my gut and walked away. I wanted to know more about the doctor who was performing my surgery so I could research him. I looked through the doctors work. Some work looked good and some was a little questionable. Of course I reached out to her with concerns . She assured me I wouldn't have those issues with me bc because I had soft fat and not Vascular fat which is the bad type of fat. I asked her was she sure. She said yes alll your fat is soft. The day before my surgery I finally met my doctor for my pre-op. He was talking super fast, a little aggressive with some unwelcomed sarcasm which made me super uncomfortable. He told me the exact opposite of what I was told, 8 thousand dollars later. He told me to not have such high expectations my stomach would still poke out and my back rolls. I was so confused, I just spent 6months going through this process. So I called Kristi and told her I didn't want to go through with the surgery. I wanted my money back. She told me I couldn't get my money back. She would speak to the doctor he's just overly confident because he's such a good dr. I trusted her again.. I went in for surgery. I could tell something was said to the Dr. The doctor was more patient but seemed a little annoyed. I went through with the surgery. Afterwards no one walked or wheeled me out. I got dressed on my own walked out literally holding on the wall . My husband was waiting for me by the elevator and I went home . I received a call from the dr. Well my voicemail did. Other than that never got a call from the office or staff ( you do not see a dr until your 6mnth post op, I will speak on that as well). I noticed that my right side was bigger than my left. I asked about it at each of my post ops with the nurses and they all said it would go down, it was just the swelling, or it's empty not sure. By the way all appointments, I would wait for hours. Once I waited three house because I kept getting this sharp scraping feeling by my cut. It took a nurse 3 hrs to come after I stood in the hallway in a gown calling for someone to help. Then I scheduled an appointment to meet with a Dr/ Once I got there it was with a nurse. She asked "why do you need a Dr, I'm going to tell you the same thing a dr would " Long story short! Today I had my tru-sculpt and e/x procedure. Dr. Grohmann was amazing. She was extremely informative during my consultation as well as on the day of my procedure. The staff was kind, helpful, and also very informative. They explained step by step what was to come and made me feel very comfortable. Now, my pain tolerance is not high whatsoever so I was in a lot of pain after I woke up at home from the meds they gave me. It has since then subsided but I'm choosing not to move much tonight. Everyone deals with pain differently. But my procedure was highly extensive. The doc herself told my sister, "she is going to be very happy with the results." Sono Bello in one word: TRANSACTIONAL 6:45pm 10/15/20 - UPDATE: My surgery was canceled by management and I was issued a full refund. Just to be clear, I never asked to cancel the surgery as it was something I was looking forward to and was very excited to have Dr. Frederick as my surgeon. This is a quote from Sono Bellos president "we measure success by the positive responses we've received from the thousands of patients we've helped around the country."...what about the not so positive responses Mr. President??? Well, let me tell you dear readers how the top brass deals with dissenters... So, I was sent home without getting the surgery because Mr. President didn't want me to be medicated while upset. I thought that seemed caring enough but was strange since I wasnt raving and had only expressed my discontent via this post. I even told Danely the assistant practice manager and Danielle the area director that I would be changing the review once the surgery was completed (both women were incredibly professional and caring). Unfortunately for me, this review was not viewed by top management as an opportunity to do better or to be better. Top management chose to act in a purely transactional manner, just like the sales staff had treated me. Clearly this transactional chop shop type of mentality stems from the top down. Honestly I dodged a bullet so I truly have to thank them for that. It's no wonder some of the employees are apathetic AF. It starts with you Mr. President and the culture you have perpetrated. Dear readers, I can't tell you whether you should or shouldn't get a procedure done here but I do urge you to proceed with caution. Even though the office failed to call me yesterday with a time for my surgery and other strange front desk mishaps, I wasn't truly nervous about my procedure until this morning. It started after waiting outside for over 30 minutes with two other women while the front desk staff failed to unlock the door. We were finally let in when a sales person Raquel called one of the women asking if she was still coming to her appointment. Yeah, we were all outside the door. The worst part is that she proceeded to argue with us about how the front desk didn't receive any calls from us and that perhaps we didn't knock hard enough. She then turns to me and asks for my name and if I had an appointment . Yes, she sold me a $7,000 surgery just 3 days ago...she too was my sales person I felt AWFUL the way she didn't remember me and then didn't even ask how I was feeling. I've never felt so used especially since Raquel was so nice 3 days ago($$$$SURPRISE$$$$). Further, not one of the front office staff, Lauren or Julie have acknowledged me or offered any kind of comforting words while I'm sitting in the waiting room while kind of freaking out about the surgery. Stay away!! Run!! This place will disfigure you and simply not care! I had a liposuction done at Sonobello with one of their "top" doctors and I was left disfigured. The worst part is nobody there cared. I went in there because I used to have a big tummy that I tried to hide with my clothes nowadays I try to hide the disfigurement they gave me with my clothes. Very long long story short the doctor put on a front like they were willing to help. They mentioned a procedure no longer done at Sonobello but that management would have to figure it out. I kept calling to find the status, got the runaround, were promised to speak with me and seldom of my calls were returned. Finally they did return a call saying the procedure to fix their error was approved but I'd have to get it done the very following day or Saturday, and that the doctor was leaving Sonobello so those were my only 2 options to select. What the heck!! Who can drop everything and have surgery so soon, and who would take care of me since the doctor was leaving? Go and find yourself a reputable surgeon and stay away from this place! I went yesterday for my procedure and absolutely loved the doctor. I was awake the whole time and had a great conversation with dr. Mucci. It was actually pretty fun believe it or not. Whenever there was a spot that was 'pinching' I just told him and he worked some magic to make it stop. The whole staff was nice. Welcoming and put me at ease. I'm sure I'm coming back for one more area. Today I'm a bit sore but up and walking around. I thought lipo would be prohibitively expensive but found it quite reasonable. I did not have a procedure at Sono Bello but I can rate my impression based on the consultation I had last week. I have had more than a few consultations and I've had two plastic surgery procedures in the past so I'm not a novice. When I first walked into the office I thought it was a nice space. Upon closer inspection I saw stains all over the furniture. Not good. Because they're a plastic surgery center and we all know how bloody those procedures can be, I didn't want to sit. Of course the stains were not new and they were muted and had been cleaned...but still. I know they aren't a "private" office, but private offices either have leather seating or leather-like seating to avoid this. Something to consider. The front desk personnel were nice. Considering the fact that I had an appointment, I was the only person in the waiting room, and I was on time, I thought I waited entirely too long. If I had been waiting to see a surgeon I would have been more understanding. I can appreciate that things happen in the OR that cause them to run behind and that's fine. However, at Sono Bello you can expect NOT to meet your surgeon until the day of your procedure which is one reason I opted not to use them. I just couldn't get past that. It's too important to me to meet my surgeon, look in his/her eyes and get to know each other - however briefly! The consultant I met with was very nice. She wasn't rushed (guess that's why I waited so long) and answered all of my questions. I was not familiar with their processes and although I'd read about them I wanted to know more. One thing I mentioned to her that I was struggling to understand was why the results I'd seen on TV, in their magazines and books in the waiting room, etc. seemed less than impressive. They weren't the dramatic changes you see with traditional liposuction and other types of plastic surgery and I wanted to understand why. She said it was because patients don't always take her advise. They go for the less expensive options or want to do procedures in stages or because of genetics. That was strange to me. Wouldn't a company advertise their best photos; their most dramatic changes? Also, I'm an RN. I never knew genetics played a part in getting ones fat removed! Plus, if you had examples of someone who HAD listened to you or someone with better results wouldn't you show those? The other thing that concerned me was that no one is put to sleep at Sono Bello. They aren't in a state of "twilight" which is basically IV sedation. They give you a Valium pill or something to relax you. At first I thought that sounded great, less risks right? But then I thought to myself.....you know you can't take too much! I would be devastated if I pay all that money and they have to stop because I can feel too much. And the last thing that caused me not to go with them was that I felt I was being SOLD products. She said I needed lipo in something like 15 areas, each at a cost of course. She also suggested I needed a tummy tuck, an arm lift, and more. The cost was soooo much more than anyone else even came close to. Eventually I left because I had a consult at a surgeons private office in Aventura that afternoon. Sono Bello told me I'd likely need more than one procedure because Florida can legally only remove 4L of fat per procedure. When I went to the doctor in Aventura and he made his suggestions the cost was literally less than half of what Sono Bello wanted to charge and his before and after pictures were stunning. I asked the doctor if he thought I should have arm lift. His response was, "For what?" He said he'd lipo suction them. I went down the list asking if I should have the various procedures Sono Bello had recommended (without mentioning them by name) and each time he said, no. Of course he's in the business of making money too so I just don't have a good taste in my mouth about Sono Bello. Finally, I asked the surgeon how many times I'd have to come to remove all of the fat since I knew only 4L could be removed at one time and he laughed!! I promise you he literally laughed! He said I don't have 4L of fat to remove (I'm having the 360 lipo). I was concerned of course. I know I'm not heavy but I thought I might have a fair amount of fat. He assured me I don't have 4L and then he promised me I'd be "dry" in those areas when he finished. I will post a review and pictures after my surgery that I've scheduled for 07/18/2019. This experience has been an amazing one for me. I never really thought that I'd actually go through with it because of my initial fears of pain, downtime, cost and overall look afterwards. I am so happy and blessed to have chosen Sonobello to make my dreams come true. From my initial consultation with Kirstie to the front desk clerk Migliana Alamo, I felt at home. I was greeted and comforted from the start with such positive and optimistic energy. Location, price, accessibility and overall great energy was key in knowing this experience was going to be a life changing one. My doctor, Dr Gill, was so patient and caring from the very beginning. I love her. My nurse who cared for me the day of surgery was a gem. I never felt scared. I am one week post op and I feel great. I still have soreness but I wouldn't have it any other way.
