Once because I managed to leave my keys in someone's car, who drove away (I retrieved the keys another day. I had an extra set inside) Someone was at my place within maybe, 15 minutes. At ten o'clock at night! Guy was pleasant and upbeat, though I was ticked at myself for doing that. Had me inside within maybe, 5 minutes? The price for the service was reasonable. Second time was when I moved, and had the house re-keyed. Same deal. Prompt, pleasant, and most of all honest. There was one lock that would have to be replaced if I wanted to use the lock. Since it was no big deal to lock this particular door regularly, I gave that one a pass. Person put on no pressure to pad the bill. Again, a fair price for the service. Then the other day, the latch wouldn't retract on my front door and the door would not open with my key. Thankfully I figured that out the night before, and left the house a different way. Trevor was at my place in maybe ten minutes. He tried to fix the problem, but it was a no go. I asked if he could set the lock a certain way so that I didn't need to use the latch. He did. He must have been at it for at least 20 or so minutes. He gave me advice on what to do to replace the latch, but I opted not to. Zero pressure. And no charge. These days customer service is so sorely lacking in many businesses, but not with Abir Locksmith. Honesty, integrity, and getting the job done. I hope to not need the service again, but if I do, there is no doubt I will call Abir Locksmith.

He had installed an entire new garage door, including motor and the door itself approximately 5 years ago. We use our garage door probably 4+ times a day. Well, after all these years, a cable had broke and my garage door wouldn't open. Turns out, everything except the motor had broken. In approximately 30 minutes, they replaced both springs, the broken cable and reattached the motor mechanism to the door as it had pulled off. I have to say, there are lots of garage door companies to choose from. I have no need to ever use a different company. EVERY interaction with the owner has been so easy. I explained the issue to him and he said, cheerfully, "Oh, you have a sensor problem! I can tell you how to fix it - very simple!" I went out to the garage and located the sensor. I saw immediately that a box had fallen in front of the sensor, blocking it. It worked perfectly after removing the box! Also, there was a dust ball blocking the sensor. Perhaps another vendor would have come out for the service call fee, (or more) and since I am not mechanically inclined I wouldn't have been any wiser. He worked under a reasonable budget, as I could not afford to simply re-do the whole kitchen. Those few pieces of the kitchen that were destroyed in the flooding, Mike re-built. Mike made good suggestions on small enhancements within my budget, and my kitchen is now better than ever. He did great work, came in as quoted, was a good communicator, and made me feel confident in the decisions were were making together. I was so happy with the experience, I immediately asked Mike to do a second project: he installed a front porch to my house and replaced my broken walkway with pavers. I left a lot of decision-making to Mike and he made good choices, so it fits with the existing look of the house. Good work. Mike is very trustworthy, easy-going, and takes pride in his work.

Warren Construction & Roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof. The estimator (Steven…read moreClark) was very thorough and spent 15 minutes inspecting our roof to determine whether or not we actually needed a new roof (or whether it has some years of life, with some minor repairs). He told me exactly why it needed replacing (and could point to the bowing that indicated deterioration of the underlayment, which he could feel sagging as he walked on it). None of the other roofing contractors even answered my first question (do we need a new roof?); they just gave me an estimate for replacing it. When I asked Steve about the possibility of installing solar panels (at some point in the future), he recommended that they put in a special underlayment in the area where solar would be installed. That avoids the solar installation from compromising the waterproofing. Later, he sent me pictures of another house they were repairing. The homeowners had solar panels installed, but ended up with water damage. They had to take all the solar panels off, repair the roof, and then they can have the solar panels reinstalled. We're not going to have that problem because Steve says the self-adhering underlayment will fill in the screw threads to prevent water from entering. We signed the contract on 5/10/2023. We emailed him with our final decision re: the color of the shingles on 5/13/2023. He emailed back on Monday (5/15/23) to say he would check the weather and their schedule to see when they might be able to squeeze us in. On 5/16/2023, he emailed to say they were finishing up a job earlier and could be there as early at the next morning if we wanted. The crew showed up early on 5/17/23 and worked hard for 3 days, finishing on roof on Friday afternoon, 5/19/2023. At the end of each day, they sent me an email with pictures and an update regarding the progress. At the end of Day 1, I could see that one of our fascia boards was rotted out at the end. I emailed Steve to check whether they would be able to replace that board (but it was already in progress). First thing the next morning, I saw them carrying a new fascia board around the side of the house. They got that fixed along with replacing the underlayment that was warped.

Then after paying me around $2000 (about half of what he owed me) over the course of 12+ months, (mind you I had to give him a reminder every month, or he just wouldn't pay me) he gives me a call, gets very combative on the phone, and gives me some B.S. reasons as to why he's not gonna pay me. I would steer clear of anything he's involved with. Thanks for nothing joe.
