Horrible office manners - Talking to manager repeating everything I said- wouldn't listen or talk to patient during visit was very rushed . My son needs a treatment plan for his acne and they wouldn't help. The plan they gave him already tried it got worse and no other options - horrible experience put us down twisted words and made up lies. I am reporting to TDI and BBB my son had bars in his chest and couldn't finish acutane and they would t prescribe it the first time or this time.. if you need an acne treatment I would highly recommend elsewhere cause you will get no where and never see results after years. read more

Hopefully this will warn future patients seeking care at Sonoma. I was prescribed a topical steroid (triamcinolone 0.1%) for a facial rash. I was not informed that this medication is not recommended for long-term use on the face or that it can trigger SEVERE rebound inflammation and perioral dermatitis. Which I have developed since using Dr. Terrill's prescription and with his diagnosis. Using a steroid on my face for 5 months, my skin became significantly worse and totally different than anything before. Redness, irritation, and inflammation that required me to seek additional dermatologic care. When I reported the reaction, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed - on the phone the receptionist was arguing with me about my condition and when I asked to confirm if Dr. Terrill diagnosed me wrong I was told "he doesn't have a photographic memory" and that it's essentially not his fault. Nice. Their brashness caused me to look for different care and my new derm confirmed the medication prescribed was inappropriate for my condition and contributed to the flare I'm experiencing. I now need additional treatment to manage the reaction. Patients deserve clear communication, to be listened to and careful prescribing. I also spent 50 dollars on creams they gave me that do nothing for my condition. Do not seek help for skin issues with Sonoma unless you want your conditions to worsen! Frustrating. read more

I am 21 years old and have HS. I saw 3 other dermatologists prior to Dr. Terrill. They recommended me scores of random topicals which never did anything. They put me on rounds of strong antibiotics which I did respond well to, but afterwards they'd say "it's not sustainable", shrug, and recommend me Accutane. Finally by the last dermatologist, I got on the brutal 6 month Accutane treatment and at the end, I hadn't received a real diagnosis and my skin was still painful and bleeding. I went to Dr. Terrill to look for another solution. I was in and out of his office in 15 minutes with an HS diagnosis and a sustainable, long term treatment plan that actually worked. Nobody else had been able to correctly diagnose my issue or provide me with treatment. Dr. Terrill has enabled me to finally live a life without constantly having to deal with the disgusting mess that is HS. He is also a very well spoken and kind doctor the likes of which I have not interacted with before. Cannot recommend enough. read more

I went to see the doctor for fibrous papule on my nose. It was a tiny bump from an old scar - not super bothersome but I asked him if it can go away. He assured him - this can easily go away with laser, just a 2 min procedure . I asked him if there will be any scarring, he assured there won't be any. I scheduled the procedure and they wanted me to sign the waivers - nerve damage, scarring etc. I didn't feel comfortable signing it since that was not what I was told. I asked the doctor - he said well there's always a chance of complications but in your case it won't be, and it'll be lot better than the scar you have now . It had been 3 weeks post procedure and my nose looks terrible. Their are 2 big scars from laser that are 10 times worse than what I had before . Find a doctor who's not just about making money but suggests what is best for the patient. read more

Jenny Roberts (Esthetician) I do not recommend this lady at all, at my first appointment she evaluated my skin and told me that she would do a laser treatment on my face and red veins on my nose for $350.00 or just the veins of the nose for $150.00 and that this treatment would be effective for one year. I decided to pay $350.00 for the entire treatment. Later in the treatment, when I was about to finish, she told me that my skin was total crap and that I should have two more treatments. This is dishonest because she looked at my skin before and gave an estimate to cleanse my skin. And the truth is she stole this money because my skin looks exactly the same as before. And additionally in the lobby when paying they require a gratuity be added so the total was $370.00 This lady is a total scam. Don't waste your money on it. read more

I saw Dr. Terrill over the span of 9 months, and he prescribed numerous medications to help me with my acne. The last of these medications, Bactrim, caused the 2nd worst allergic reaction possible (SJS, which is 2nd to death) and I was hospitalized for 2 weeks, including stints in the ICU. I took this medication for roughly 2 months and saw Dr. Terrill a week before being hospitalized. This is a common allergy (up to 10% of people have it), and most physicians and medical students I talk to are shocked that he did not realize I might be allergic to it. Fortunately, I'm still alive and didn't lose my vision or any limbs, but I ended up with enormous medical bills and definitely would NOT recommend Dr. Terrill to anyone. read more

To be honest , I'm stunned to see the rating for this place!? I needed a to get two things checked out on my skin and possibly removed, ya know basic dermatology stuff? I go in, nice office, nice staff, quick service, told by the dr what needs to be done and the girl out front will schedule the procedure. I go back to the front and they say they will call me to schedule it. A few days goes by and nothing! So I call, explain what happened and as with every Dr I have to leave a message. A week goes by nothing! Call again! They play pass the phone call, and I leave another message! A week goes by nothing! I call back and I'm told the office manager needs to schedule the procedure, so I leave her a message! Two weeks later I call back and I actually talk to the manager and I'm told the dr has been out on vacation for a week, but I'm assured it'll get handled! Two weeks later I call AGAIN! And have to leave yet another message for the manager!!! So as of today almost two months later!!!!!! I still have yet to get one returned call and still have nothing scheduled much less done!!!? Needless to say I will be finding a new dermatologist!!! Never have I dealt with a more unprofessional Dr's office! So disappointed with the results of Ultherapy! I was told it would tighten and lift problem areas around neck and chin and eyebrows. That it would last for years! But after 3 months I was told sure it looks better - but I couldn't see a difference in my before/after pics myself. This was not a cheap procedure!! In 1985 I brought my son to see Dr. Terrill, I was scared and felt all alone. My son had blisters all over his neck, feet, sides and hands and no one could figure it out. I didn't have very much money and no insurance. Dr. Terrill didn't know what it was either but he told me we were going to figure it out together and for me not to worry about the money, all I was going to have to pay for was the labs(I don't think he even charged me for all of the labs either) he worked diligently until he came up with the diagnosis of Epidermolysis Bullosa, which was not very known. He tried tp help me find some support but we couldn't find any so he sent me to Scottish rites hospital but they couldn't help us but they did get us in touch with the D.E.B.R.A. foundation and it all went from there. There is no cure but when I needed him and his staff they were there for 100% day, night and weekends. Amazing Dr. The end to this is Tommy still blisters but he doesn't let it define him and he has a pool cleaning and service business in Anna, Plano, Frisco and Prosper.Woo Hoo. It's been awhile that I've been so frustrated with an office. The initial visit went well, but it was downhill after that. I had to have my labs drawn prior to initializing therapy. I had my labs drawn on a Friday, and I was suppose to receive a call on Monday to start therapy. Monday comes with no call. So I have been leaving a voice msg with medical assistant for 3 days straight without a call back. I finally get through because I explained the situation to the front desk and I was patched through finally. Turns out, I'm suppose to receive an email from ipledge and answer a few questions prior to receiving prescription. It's been exactly 1 week with no email. For all I know i may have deleted this making it was spam. Then I questioned the staff about month blood draws - guess they forgot that too. I am a nurse by profession, and I've never witnessed such incompetence. If I'm lucky, it may take 2 weeks after initial office visit to finally start on my treatment. The physician may be great, but you unfortunately spend 90% of the time with his office staff. Don't think it's worth dealing with. Update: The office manager took the time to listen to my complaints, and has changed my opinion of the practice. She has made all of my recent visits very pleasant, and I would recommend this practice from this experience since they obviously do care about their patients complaints. read more

For the past few months, I'd been breaking out in the most intense rashes across my face. These irritations were nonstop, especially with the high levels of stress I experienced. Piss me off? *tingle tingle* and the next day I'm having a full out rash. I got tired of itching and scratching. I felt like an outbreak monkey. I needed relief. After getting pissed off and tingly for the final time, I broke down and called. I called at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, and they had an 11:10 AM appointment. My job allowed me to leave and attend it. Dr. Terrill is punctual, pleasant, polished, and professional. He was able to take an immediate look and tell me what I was suffering from, and how to manage it. I had a prescription - and a generous number of refills - in my hand by 11:30, and got back to work a little after 1 PM. I had a positive experience with the staff and the Dr. I don't need another appointment, but I am grateful for the immediate fix on my skin. Now I just need to stop stressing myself out - and stay armed in the process. PS - it's a few days later and the cream prescribed is working wonders. I just can't get too used to using it, and start looking for holistic ways to manage this issue as well. read more

I am sort of surprised to read so many glowing reviews for the medical side of this practice. I will say Dr. Terrill effectively treated my son's eczema, so that is worth 3 stars by itself. However, his bedside manner over the course of two visits left something to be desired. When I politely asked questions about potential side effects related to the steroid cream that was prescribed to my 6 month old baby, the response I got was very condescending. Dr. Terrill was obviously irritated and literally spoke to me like I was a 12 year old. I'm sure he disregarded me as a silly, clueless mommy. However, I am a well-educated professional person, and I found this treatment quite insulting. Additionally, he belittled my trusted pediatrician by stating, and I quote, "Your doctor doesn't know what he is talking about. Pediatricians listen to a 30 minute lecture on a topic and think they are experts. If you have questions, you come to me, not them". Totally rubbed me the wrong way. To my family, friends and co workers, as you all know I've been on remission (from Colon Cancer) for almost ten years this February 2018. A year and a half ago I got a facial done and the esthetician noticed the small pimple by my right eye. She took it out and a month after it started growing. Went to visit four top dermatologist in Dallas Metroplex and I was told not to worry it's Sebaceous Cyst and for sure it's not Cancerous. A year went by and I consulted another doctor in St Lukes Philippines and like what the other doctor's said it's Sebaceous Cyst and I was given topical medication to apply to it. December 2016 I went back in Los Angeles with high hopes that it's not Cancer and I have nothing to worry about. Seeing Filipino doctor made me feel comfortable that it's not cancer specially I asked her to do biopsy and she said don't even bother doing biopsy she's 110% sure it's not cancer. June 2016 got in to car accident and I accidentally hit my so called "sebaceous cyst " and got extremely irritated. Went to Dr Ouzounian at Kaiser Permanente and I insisted to get it removed. At first he said it's Sebaceous Cyst but because I really wanted to know what it is. I finally able to convinced him to remove my so called non cancerous Sebaceous Cyst. July 5 I had the procedure done, July 13 I got a call from him and he told me that I need to see him right away. I knew there's definitely something wrong with the biopsy. I went to sleep that night thinking that it can't be skin cancer because I'm not a sun worshipper. Morning of July 14 I was diagnosed with Mucinous Carcinoma of the Skin ( rare kind of cancer) . August 31,Dr Ouzounian had to do another surgery to cut the remaining cancer cells . To my family, friends and co workers , please I'm urging you all not to ignore any kind of lump in your body and to get it check. Get a biopsy even when your doctor insist that it's not cancerous , please insist to get a biopsy done. Our body is not supposed to have any kind of lump(s)and all lumps need to get checked no matter what. Doctor's do make mistake(s) too. Let my experience be a lesson to all. GOD is good all the time. I know I can go through this battle again knowing that HE will be with me all time. read more

Honestly, I was so disappointed with my experience here. Dr. Terrill spent maybe 5 minutes with me, and instead of taking the time to hear my concerns and understand what the problem with my skin was, he just immediately recommended antibiotics. He kept on Bactrim for two years, and the only reason I got off the antibiotics was because a pharmacist told me that there is no reason to be on antibiotics for that long. Furthermore, when I visited other dermatologists, they told me the same thing, and I was stunned that any doctor would just leave someone on antibiotics for that long. I really felt like Dr.Terrill could only be bothered to get my money and get me out of the office asap. He was patient and explained easily his recommendation. Was able to make the procedure appointment for the next week (removing moles). Had that appointment today and procedure was painless and quick. The facility also has a very modern and fresh appeal. And a nice touch is the free coffee/cappuccino machine in the waiting room. =) Would highly recommend this place! read more
