I scheduled an appointment for my almost 17-year-old son through Zocdoc, a scheduling platform this practice has chosen to utilize. During those two weeks, not a single person from the office contacted me to explain that a parent or legal guardian must be physically present for a minor's initial visit. I intentionally scheduled this appointment before school started so my son would not have to miss class. Instead, he took time off work, drove to the office, checked in, and was then informed he would not be seen because I was not there in person. My son is nearly 17 years old and less than two years away from leaving for college. He is more than capable of attending a routine dermatology appointment on his own. If the practice requires a parent to be physically present despite a patient being mature enough to drive himself, hold a job, and manage his own appointment, that is certainly their prerogative--but it is also their responsibility to communicate that requirement before the appointment, not after the patient has already arrived. To be clear, I have absolutely no issue with that policy. I have every issue with a practice that fails to communicate it. When I spoke with the office manager, I expected a simple acknowledgment that the situation could have been prevented with a phone call, text, or email. Instead, I was told I should have known, that I should have called the office rather than using Zocdoc, and that there was essentially nothing to be done. If this office chooses to accept appointments through a third-party scheduling platform, then the responsibility to communicate office-specific requirements belongs to the office--not the patient. Suggesting otherwise is simply an attempt to shift responsibility for an entirely preventable mistake. I offered to FaceTime during the appointment or complete any required paperwork electronically so my son could still be seen. There was no willingness to accommodate, no effort to problem-solve, and no recognition that their lack of communication had now caused him to miss work unnecessarily and will require him to miss school for a rescheduled appointment. Policies are understandable. Poor communication is not. A complete lack of accountability is even less so. read more

I'll be honest, I'm probably not the typical person to write a review for a dermatology office. As a guy, going to the dermatologist wasn't exactly something I was excited about or used to doing. That said, I've been going to Rodgers Dermatology for a few years now and I've had a good experience. I recently had a few procedures done, and everything went smooth from start to finish. The staff was friendly, the providers explained what was going on, and they made the whole process easier than I expected. I felt comfortable during the visits, never felt rushed, and appreciated that they answered my questions without making it a big deal. I was in the market for a new dermatologist and decided to choose Rogers Dermatology and I am so happy I did! I have been seeing Lauren Stewart PA-C and she is wonderful. She has a caring, holistic approach to her practice and she has helped me so much. I appreciate her kindness and thinking out of the box with some of my skin care questions. All of her recommendations have been beneficial to my skin and continue to work great! I was able to easily book my initial appointment online and I also receive text messages updating me about upcoming appointments. The scheduling system is very organized and I have had no issues so far. Ultimately, I have had a great experience here with all of the staff and I could not ask for more. I highly recommend this practice if you want an approach that doesn't just solve your problem, but gets to the root cause and betters your lifestyle and wellbeing overall. I was treated for my PN through N Texas Clinical Research by Dr Rodgers. He was great and seemed to be a caring doctor. Unfortunately the cream I was testing for a year did not work for me. Dr Rodgers told me there is a biologic testing medication and he told Keisha (N Texas CR) nurse to add me to the list for this research. Well Keisha or her staff never contacted me back. After a month went by I contacted NTCR and left numerous messages for someone to call me back. I haven't to this day heard back about the study. It would have been nice to get a phone call or an email letting me know if the study was canceled or not. It's been 3 months now and crickets..... Love Dr Roger's, not so much NTCR Do better. I would have given 5 stars but, NTRC does not return calls or emails. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I came in with a specific concern about a spot on my face, asking directly if it could be skin cancer. This doctor completely dismissed me, made me feel foolish, and sent me away without a second thought. When I went to have the spot shaved down, it was confirmed to be skin cancer--by then it had grown and required surgery, leaving me with a permanent scar on my face. This could have been caught early, but instead I was gaslit and ignored. I trusted this doctor and paid the price. Please don't make the same mistake!!!! read more

Just had my first visit with Rodgers Dermatology. The staff was marvelous. From my call in to make an appointment and upon my arrival. They were kind and very efficient. Now, onto Dr. Rodgers. Though I don't question his skills, his bed-side manner could use a lot of improving. Especially since he is advertising that he is accepting new patients. Dr. Rodgers walked in and mumbled his name. He mumbled it so low, that I had to ask what he said. He never actually introduced himself nor mentioned my name. He came across that I was a bother to be there. I do not expect my doctor to be my new best friend, however, I do expect an introduction and perhaps a friendly, "What can I do for you?" Nope! I won't be returning. read more

She has been doing my Botox and other cosmetic procedures for the past year and I have had excellent results each time. On top of that she is kind, gracious, and professional. Had a couple of benign cysts that were getting annoyingly big and needed to go. Came by for an initial visit for the Doctor to take a look and set a date for the minor surgery. They were able to get me in a week or two which I appreciated. The office staff was super friendly. The date of the surgery arrived and they quickly Brought me to a room. The procedure went quickly. Had an instance where I was feeling light headed and not well after the numbing agent was injected, but the doctors assistance knew exactly what to do. After the surgery paid. The price was fair. I know because I had a couple of chats removed 25 years before. They had charged a little over $400, while Roger's in the $500's. Overall, great experience. They have a well run office. I would have liked to start this review with how great the doctors are or how incredible the treatments prescribed were, but I can't. Not because they're not but, because I wasn't even able to make an appointment. After 20 years of running medical practices, you could say I know a little about registration, insurance, and scheduling. Even with that knowledge, I couldn't manage to make an online appointment. Timeline - I put all of my information into the contact us form. ...everything. Then I select the times the site says are available. - Next day I get a declined email because those times are not available. Which is fine, depending on quickly their interface refreshes. Outdated but fine. - info@rodgersderm.com then emails me to ask for all the same information I put into the form and offers a Monday appointment. This is a bit ridiculous but, even so, I run with it and start rescheduling my entire day around it. - Another email from "info" to say the appointment has now been taken, and can I do Wednesday? Note, when adding someone to their schedule, the right thing to do is to block that time so no one else can take it, but again, fine. I really need to be seen, so I take it. - I get another email asking for another photo of my insurance card. Yes... the same one I sent twice already. And you don't really need the insurance card if I put in the subscriber ID, Group, Policy Holder, filing address, and EDI number... but ok. - Then another email (maybe 10 min later) saying that Wednesday is taken can you do Thursday? ...I'll keep playing along just because of the positive review. I take it. - Well, it's Thursday. As you may have guessed, no additional communication, no confirmation text, like the one even my vet can manage. Nothing. I email "info" again to ask if my appointment was confirmed. The dry email I get back? "No. That appointment is not confirmed." That's it. - I immediately call the office (which should never have to happen with online scheduling). They scramble put me on hold and say, I don't even have a chart created for you yet. Would you like to come in next week? I really needed to be seen to update my prescriptions. So no. I need to find a competent office. If this is what it takes to get an appointment, how can I trust they bill my insurance correctly or get my prescriptions to the pharmacy? Online scheduling is table stakes these days but, this practice is obviously missing the mark. If I can't figure it out, god help the next person. read more

This is only for the office staff. When there is an issue they are defensive and basically rude. I have no issue with the providers. Hearing them discuss all the procedures they are having done on themselves is not professional either. They don't try to offer a solution to your issue. Just sorry bye. Their prices continue to rise but the effectiveness of their procedures doesn't improve - at least spend it on improving staffing. read more

Dr. Rodgers was the first doctor on the list when I tried to find a skin specialist through MDLIVE Dermatologists. I submitted my case to him and waited for almost 2 days and there was no response even though MDLIVE clearly stated I would be contacted within 6~12 hours. I switched to another dermatologist out of town and got diagnosis and prescription almost immediately. I guess Dr. Rodgers is too busy for us. Not even his PA's would bother to respond. read more

Dr Rodgers doesn't really talk much, 1) Botox treatment. I used to go to spas for Botox treatment. Lately I've been going to Dr Rodgers and will not switch to anyone else. His injections are so much better than the other ones I've had, the last one lasted me 9 months for my 11 area. His pricing is okay given it lasts so long! 2) The doctor gave me some cortisteroids, Verdeso foam 0.05%. Kroger Pharmacy wouldn't sell it to me saying my insurance (Express Script) won't cover it since it's a $700+ medication. The doctor's office called me and said, "Do you want to use Rite Care Pharmacy instead? They'll ship it to you". Then, without even asking about my insurance information, Rite Care sold it to me for a mere $10!! I am still amazed. I did the same thing with Tazorac cream, at Kroger, without insurance it will cost me $300+, but with Rite Care (they filed with my insurance), sold it to me for $10. Even Express Script website said my co-pay is $35, so why am I paying $10?? Don't know but I'm happy. It could be Rite Care is using rebates. But with Rite Care, you have to be patient and wait up to one week, they have to call my doctor, call the insurance, etc. 3) Enlarged oil glands, skin imperfections, etc. The doctor charged $150 flat fee for the full-face. Well, it's been 2 weeks and there are still 4 that didn't go away, even after he burnt them with electric cauthery. I called the office and they said normally it would cost another $75. However, just got a call back from them saying the PA will do it (not the Dr) for no extra charge, but the next time I'll have to pay for it. Pretty happy with the deal. 4) The only complaint is it's harder to reach the front desk and I just have to keep calling them. Overall, I'm pretty happy read more

Dr. Rogers is amazing. After a long and terrible marriage/relationship my face paid the price. Years of worry started to creep up on me and I was always too afraid to do Botox. Well after reading reviews etc, and taking the necessary steps to prepare along with realistic expectations I made an appointment for Botox with Dr. Rodgers. I did use a groupon but the service was excellent and my results are natural. It's always a risk but if you have the right injector and have realistic expectations and seek conservative changes; you won't be disappointed. He's great and his office staff is friendly and courteous. I wish I'd done it sooner and plan to be a life long patient. Erin F. Sadly, we had a terrible experience here. We've been here before and had a great experience with the nurse practitioner- and the front office, but today was not the case. The doctor was short, barely said 2 words, didn't ask the nurse all the info we spent explaining for 15 min, just walked in room and said how can I help you. Had to repeat the whole conversation that we just finished telling his nurse and her Documenting.....then was curt, said 2 words barely and walked out. He never came back in, didn't look at son's acne, nothing..... The front staff had the same rude demeanor, short, no manners, no customer service at all! With 100's of dermatologist to choose from now in the area, I would NOT recommend this place! Doctors and their staff need to treat patients as their clients.....which do indeed pay their bills...or they won't have any clientele. Sad, but some people don't understand this. Horrible experience! They're all about making $$$ and not taking care of patients. Went in for a simple spot treatment of liquid nitrogen. Was told it would heal in a week and it has been 3 months! Came in for a followup a few weeks after initial visit and was given a second treatment. Still no healing... Third visit they told me to leave it alone and that it wasn't infected and it will heal on its own. It took less than 2min to tell me that and they charged me $78!!! Waited another few wks and still no healing. Called and was told that I would need another treatment. Are you freakin kidding me?!!! I was there few weeks ago and you didn't give me another treatment but still charged me and now I needed another treatment with charge?!!! NOT EVER COMING BACK!!! read more

What makes me lower their score is that they are trying to charge me more money for my appointment! They said my deductible had been met and I owed a small portion which I paid. I paid for my botox thats 12 a unit. Why do I owe more for botox thats calculated at the time of the appointment? I received an invoice for the "additional charges" remaining for my dermatology appointment, as well as the already calculated botox. If I was suppose to pay more, it should have been calculated accurately at the time I was there in front of your face. I don't trust this office. PA Rushing is wonderful! Let me start by saying that. She listens to my concerns and tries to find a solution that will not exacerbate any of my other concern areas. I was referred to her by a coworker and was so glad to find her after moving down here. I didn't think I would have any problems here. Then there is her assistant. Each time I have called in and left a voicemail it hasn't been listened to all of the way through and I've received a call from Cynthia who would rather be right than listen to what is being asked. This wouldn't be so frustrating except that she is incredibly abrasive and honestly rude when she makes assumptions and doesn't explain anything. I have battled acne for years and am very familiar with the drugs and their side effects and what to pay attention to. What I'm not familiar with is this locations office policies. Some dermatologists only need to see you once a year, or once every six months to make sure a drug is working. When I asked this I was told they have to see me once a year. No big deal. I can do once a year. Heck! I can do six times a year, but for an innate drug that requires little to no monitoring I won't. My biggest frustration is that instead of listening to understand what is being requested you listen to respond quickly and get off the phone which leads to you not knowing what I'm asking for when you decline the prescription! Active listening is a skill that is clearly lacking here. I didn't understand the other reviews on here until my second failed interaction with the same person. I requested a refill of prescription x and am told prescription y isn't available for refill. So I'm being denied a refill based on a drug I wasn't requesting. That's cool. I don't care about that prescription because I don't need it. Now I need to maintain my skin and the prescription to maintain it is the one you didn't listen to the voicemail to hear and then called me to argue with me about it Bravo. Human interaction is a huge part of your job. Learn how to talk to people without acting like I'm an inconvenience to your schedule. read more

Dr. Rodger's is nice enough but being "nice enough" does not cut it when you are dealing with people's skin. I found his staff to be curt, his billing department to be incompetent, and his practice himself unacceptable. The problem with medical school is that the patients do not know who was the A student and who barely skated by. I have a pretty good guess here... I went for a very simple issue, I had my skin itching on my chin and the dr gave me a wrong med that made things worse and made it even more itchy, when I called them she just said to stop it and use cortisone to wipe everything away and that's it !!!!! And my husband had something on his face and she made like a small surgery to remove it, AND SHE LEFT A GOOD SCAR ON HIS FACE!!! This week I was visiting and because I was late they just cancelled the appointment even though I called them and said that I'll be late, they just waited till I arrived and cancelled it !!! They said it's their policy without even considering me having a baby that it's not really easy to make a dr appointment sharp on time especially that it was my first time being late!! I'm so frustrated and till I find another dr I'll never recommend then for anyone. read more

I had several laser treatments done by the doctor. He took about 5 minutes to do the treatment, which when I have had it done at other places lasts about 20 minutes, to half hour, minimum. Each time I went back he saw there was little to no result, and still gave me another cursory treatment. He doesn't care about the patient, nor his reputation, evidently. I was referred to Dr Rogers by my primary care due to a surgical incision that was not healing correctly. I had been seen by the doctor who performed the procedure that left me with this incision more than 4 times and he could not solve the issue. I believe his last words to me were " I don't know what to do." This was after 4 rounds of antibiotics. My incision would not heal properly. It was very painful and not pretty. I've had multiple procedures in my young life and never had this kind of issue. I went into Dr Rogers office defeated and already thinking there would be nothing he could do. My visit was the complete opposite. He took all of my history and took his time going through possible solutions. After 1 visit my incision healed and I no longer had the pain. I still can't believe that after all that time the doctor who performed the procedure couldn't do anything but throw more antibiotics at me. After 1 visit to Dr Rogers and I'm good. I'm so grateful to Dr Rogers for everything. His office staff and nurses are great as well. Sorry for my rambling but I highly recommend Rodgers Dermatology. I visited because I had some odd bumps on my face. Within 5 seconds of walking in, the PA told me what they were and for $150 she could freeze them off. She was in the room about 3 minutes. I returned for the next appointment and someone else who didn't identify herself (nurse? assistant?) froze them off. I had to point out a couple spots to her, one of which she said "uh, I don't know what that is but I'll freeze it and we will see". Waste of time. All bumps are still on my face over a month later. I didn't feel like anyone at the practice was concerned with helping my skin nor were they very professional so I won't bother going back and I don't recommend them. read more

This is my very first yelp review. I went through the process of getting a yelp account just so I could write this review. I had been contemplating lip injections for quite some time but I feared the "duck lip". Jessica (The PA) assured be it would all look very natural. She was right. They look amazing and my confidence went up. She was very professional and I had minimal swelling and no bruising. I am so thankful for her skills. I have also seen Lanie for a skin rash. She was great as well. Very kind and thorough. I am yet too see Dr. Rodgers but I am sure he is great as well. All and all very pleased.
