This office was superb! A year ago on Tuesday (March 25th, 2024), I was in their office for a consultation. However, at the time, I could not afford the procedure as it was out of network for me. I contacted my insurance company and since no surgeons in-network were within 100 miles of me, they billed it as in-network, so I could finance the rest. I had surgery on Tuesday (March 25th, 2025) to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed (late bloomer - I'm 26). All 4 teeth were impacted with 2 pushing against my sinuses, and my bottom two growing along my nerve. My bottom left wisdom tooth actually grew to the point that the root wrapped around my nerve. I was very scared to have this procedure done, as I've never had surgery or been put to sleep before. However, literally every single staff member made me feel safe and comforted, and tried settling my nerves as best they could. They were phenomenal. When Dr. Bouchoucha entered the room, he had a calming presence about him. I trust his expertise, and his bedside manner was impeccable. I felt much calmer after he spoke with me and helped ease my worries. I don't even remember going to sleep, but when I woke up, I was happy and barely noticed I had even just had a complex surgery. Dr. Bouchoucha was at my bedside and very gently coaxing me out of sleep, which felt nice to be brought back so calmly and gently. My healing has been going well, and Dr. Bouchoucha even called me the same night as my surgery, after hours, to check on me. When I called back today to ask some questions, he was quickly available and very helpful with his advice and guidance. Overall, this office is incredible. I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else, and I'm really thankful everything worked out so I could go here. They gave me everything I needed for my post-op recovery, and even a few unexpected, but very appreciated extras! Everyone was thoughtful and considerate and was sure to make me feel safe, and answer all my questions! They all even wrote in a little card for me that I found after my surgery! Such sweet and genuine people. I highly recommend going to this office - especially for a complicated wisdom tooth surgery like mine! First off. In regards to the review by "Steve C." I was 1 of the 2 patients waiting outside for my appointment. I witnessed his behavior. Steve was violent and verbally abusive towards the staff. STAFF - At my first visit the x-ray technician incorrectly identified the tooth for extraction to doctor. I notified my referring dentist who then straightened out the error with Dr Slim Bullied  by Robert Recurrent whispering in patient's presence I received an unsigned refund check in the amount of $160, with no explanation. I phoned bookkeeper, she advised that I should come into the office to drop off unsigned check and pick up reissued. I explained that I live quite a distance and suggested to her that I tear up the check and a reissued check be sent. "She would get back to me". After about a week without hearing back, I phoned two more times leaving messages. During one of these calls I learned from front office staff that my phone conversation with bookkeeper had been misstated as my refusing to cooperate. About my third call bookkeeper answered the phone - finally, suggesting to deposit $160. into my debit account, I agreed. At my next visit I asked for an accounting of said refund. I received a "statement" indicating the total amount paid less the refund, Not an Accountability  My dental records indicate that I have TMJ and require a bite block - no bite block provided I stopped by Dr Slim's office, on my way elsewhere, because I felt a throbbing where he had extracted a tooth two weeks prior. I asked staff if it could be looked at to see if the area was infected. Staff replied, did I want to make an appointment; she proposed that my healing may take longer, since "we're not 18 anymore, that this is most likely the case". The other staff person present agreed, sans examination! The next morning I was in extreme pain in this area. Edit to my review...the office was able to get me in about a month early because of a cancellation. Glad my work schedule allowed me to accept the spot that opened up. I have never felt so little and unimportant before. I work night shift and missed a text and a call to confirm my appointment with this office for the following day. Samantha the receptionist had left a message telling me that I NEED and must confirm my appointment because there was a long list of plenty of other people in pain. Never once did her message ever consider my schedule doesn't function during normal business hours. When I did talk to Samantha the following morning to confirm my appointment I let her know how rude her message was and how unimportant she made me feel. No apology and saying Matter of fact well we blocked out an hour for you. I canceled at this time. I'm not going to spend thousands of my dollars (not insurance)in an office that speaks to people so rudely and without consideration for that persons time. Well Samantha since you made me feel like my business was unimportant to you and you didn't have enough time for me I will spend my money else where. Walking into this appointment I was in sheer terror not knowing if I was going to need a biopsy or not as I was just there for a consultation. I had a really nice nurse? I'm not sure if that's her job title but she was sweet and she also had a trainee. I was literally having an anxiety attack, and Dr Slim got on my level sitting in the chair and just told me that we were going to go through this together and everything would be ok, and to just try to calm down. Having anxiety for over 20 years and having a Dr actually know how to speak to me put me at ease, for the most part because I was still scared to even be checked. He literally was wiping away my tears WHILE he was doing my exam. They were all so thorough and nice and I ended up leaving feeling very well taken care of which honestly doesn't happen much with Drs in my experience. I would 100% recommend him to anyone who needed any of his services, he was an absolutely amazing man and even though I don't want to see him again "technically" I know when I do for a checkup that I won't be nearly as nervous or scared. His bedside manner I guess you could call it was just amazing, so thank you to him and also his office staff. sadly, i am forced to rate dr. bouchoucha's practice negatively. i was called on the phone and asked by a member of his staff if i would come in a week early of my scheduled appointment to fill in a cancelled appointment slot. i arrived 10 minutes early, waited only 10-15 minutes in the outer room and was then put in an exam room. when, almost an hour later, i went out to ask his why no one had come in to inform me why i had yet to see the dr., i was told "sometimes surgery takes longer than expected", i pointed out that i understood that, but what i had asked them was why no one had had the courtesy to tell me that the dr. was running late or at least ask if i wanted some water (this entire time i had to wear a n-95 mask.) at this point, the billing/insurance person became defensive at acted as if the problem was my frustration/impatience and not their poor communication. when i informed her that i no longer wanted the procedure & to reimburse my $3,000, the conversation degraded into f/u a's & b's & ended with her throwing my cell phone at me. when i was waiting for my ride home, i noticed 2 other patients waiting in their cars. it became clear to me that what was going on was that they overbook to rake in more money. their attitude was "if you don't like to wait, go somewhere else". my opinion of "dr. slim" as a doctor/person is very good. his office staff, however, are unprofessional, uncaring & inconsiderate. read more
