This bike shop had multiple bikes for him to choose from, they were so reasonable, and the bikes also had baskets and water bottle holders. I've never had both with a rental. This bike shop is worth going out of your way, however be prepared that they only accept cash and checks. We will be back!

I would strongly caution anyone considering e-bike battery repair services from this shop…read more I was charged a non-refundable $50 diagnostic fee after being told that most batteries can be repaired for around $50, bringing the expected total to about $100--significantly less than buying a new battery (~$240). After the diagnostic, I was told that all cells and electronics needed replacement, bringing the total to $180 + the $50 already paid = $230. At that point, the repair cost is essentially the same as a brand-new OEM battery with a warranty and extended range. This raises two issues: The upfront expectation setting was misleading. The "most batteries can be repaired cheaply" claim did not reflect reality in my case. No flexibility on the diagnostic fee, even when the repair quote made no practical sense compared to replacement. Paying nearly full replacement cost for a 5-6 year old rebuilt battery with no meaningful warranty is not a rational option. At a minimum, the shop should consider refunding or crediting the diagnostic fee when the repair quote is economically unreasonable. Buyer beware on battery repair--run the numbers before committing.

My rear disk brake was squealing and nothing I could do seemed to fiix the problem. Jeff found I had a cracked frame which could have led to disaster. Today, when I started my ride I heard a rattling that I could not determine where it was from .. not the bottle holders, nor the garmin mount. I decided to stop in Ryder during the ride. Within minutes, Jeff found that my rear break caliper bolts were loose and that was the source. Could have been a very serious situation. I find it hard to believe Village bikes didn't know this trike came in a better size for me. I now have difficulty walking and can no longer pedal this trike. Today I went to Village Bikes asking if they could buy it back. They refused. Needless, to say I am not happy and I won't recommend the shop to anyone.
