I typically do my brows myself, but with a big trip and two weeks of wanting to spend zero extra time on my makeup, I decided to leave nothing to chance and opted to have them tended professionally. I paid the extra fee to have the owner, Destiny, do my brows herself. No messing around. I walked in and she was ready. The space was clean, and I dropped into some casual conversation with her and her coworker with ease. They were both free when I walked in, but both chairs filled within a few minutes. I explained where I was going/my needs, and she did her thing. My brows are a little uneven as far as thickness, so for the first couple of days I added a little fill to the one, but after a couple of days they evened out and still looked great. The shape was perfect, they were the right shade, and gave me the POP I wanted. I went in the ocean multiple times, salty hot springs, hiking in the Mexican sun, endured a myriad of pillowcases in hotels, plus had my sleep mask and several different hats on, and we're still looking pretty good now that I'm home from my adventures. I would definitely consider microshading there in the future. Destiny's vibe might not be right for everyone, but the Browtique was it for me.

It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. MANICURE -- I got a GEL nail polish for the first time. I've never cares to get gel nail polish before because it is too expensive for my budget. The man who did my nails was efficient but a bit too fast at times. Towards the end, some of the nails didn't feel 100% dry. After 3-4 days, the clear coat started to chip away or coming off. The pink nail polish itself is still on because I was told that gel nail polish lasts for about 2 weeks. Since I don't live in Columbus, I don't plan to come back here but for my time there, a 3/5 rating seems fair. I was randomly assigned a hairstylist, Minnie, and it was like the stars in the universe aligned because we clicked right away. She asked me all about my hair and what I was looking for. I'm a wing it type of person but I did have some things in mind. I ended up getting a trim with some wisby longish bangs and she was able to keep my length which was awesome. At the end she mentioned the different products she used in my hair and sent me home with a "care card" with recommendations on when to return and who else to see if she wasn't in.
