I've been a customer of Soroa Orchids for years. They have an unbelievable number of different types of orchids. All of them are very well-maintained, healthy, and beautiful. Their staff is very helpful and I always learn something new when I ask them questions. Their prices are about 10% higher than those of other nurseries in the same neighborhood, but for the quality of plants, it is well worth it. Today we drove a couple of hours from home to Homestead in search of some beautiful orchids. It wasn't a total waste even though the inexpensive ones were picked over and "slim pickings". The sign outside was misleading. It said 4 orchids for $20. But there weren't enough left that were 4 for $20. ($5. Each)When I asked the help to call the owner and ask, she said she wasn't allowed to do that. If you wanted big white ones for $10., there were plenty. That's more than a Special would be at Publix, but still a great price. Honestly, the orchids that were $15. And up were beautiful. One Green House Area had orchids starting at $25 and up. It depends what you are seeking. The place had a beautiful display to view. If you are in Homestead or want to take a Day Trip, it's fun to check out. read more

Overall (5/5) The quality of orchids at whole sale prices is amazing. You can buy 400 dollar arrangements (floral shop cost) at whole sale costs (150 dollars) and pick out the quality. The farm is amazing. You walk into an area where you can buy arrangements pre made. Then to the side are orchids for sale (ranging 20-30 dollars). As you walk to the back you can see them many types of orchids (different species....ones I am sure you have never seen before) being tended to. On special occasions they have sales (lookout on their Facebook posts). Go here if you want to spoil someone or yourself....spectacular gem. read more

An orchid nursery in Homestead... one of the many but one with good deals! I came down to Homestead on Mother's Day with the goal of spoiling my mom with as many orchids as she wanted. Of course, orchids are usually a more expensive flower so we were on the hunt for good deals. After visiting a handful of different nurseries, we stumbled upon Soroa Orchids. Surprisingly I didn't find this on Yelp but actually spotted them because of their huge sign which we could see from the road. Parking is a bit limited but once you park and enter to the to find to the nursery, it has a beautiful entryway with a gate. The nursery was all the way towards the end. They had amazing deals that ranged from $10-$35 or exotic orchids for 25% off. There is a section all the way in the back that are more pricey but will tempt you into owning a beautiful variation you might not find elsewhere. The staff is extremely helpful and although most of them seem to speak only spanish, some do speak english. We were able to find a good amount to take home and safe to say, my mom had a great Mother's Day. read more

I have gone there so many times, and bought so many beautiful orchids. The place is really breathtaking. My mom loves to go there. All I care is just to please her. I no longer wish to go, and I hate to disappoint her but each time I go now whenever I choose an orchid that is healthy I can't buy it. The worker tells me is a Sample, and I don't see the word SAMPLE ANYWHERE, She has done that several times, or the recent one was I see a couple of signs of specials on top, and the lady tells me the sales are over. I had to literally tell her dont you see the signs up still, I dont need to go to a place and have to have an argument because you are self centered, ambitious, and ignorant. Its always the same lady. I dont know if she is the owner or she is keeping the cash to herself, or she has stocks in the business but, I was there 01/03/23, and I had to argue back to her the signs are still up, and I even had to tell her listen everytime I come here you have an issue with me. She fakes being friendly with my mom, but its over she is rude, unpolite, and I just can imagine how many people she does this everyday. but I don't see she is interested in selling your merchandise. The worst is that the orchid she didn't feel selling to me, I see the same orchid ROTTEN weeks later that is a shame. I spend a good amount of money in this place. read more

The tropical gardens and greenhouses of Soroa Orchid Gardens are truly lovely. More so, those who work there are friendly and helpful. They have a outside dining area surrounded by palms covered in orchids and adjacent fountains. The orchids themselves are so pretty and reasonably priced. A trip to Homestead would be a miss if you don't visit Soroa Orchid Gardens. read more

Besides that, they have high-quality orchids at a very competitive price and carry a few species plants. It's not my favorite nursery in the Homestead area (the bar is set high). I'm thoroughly impressed with the huge variety of orchids that Soroa Orchid Gardens offers for sale. They display samples of mature plants of nearly all if not all varieties they stock. The plants were healthy and were very reasonably priced. Several orchids were bought and the staff were well versed in providing us the care instructions and the growth patterns and bloom frequencies each plant is expected to produce. They also offer any supplies needed to take care of the plants and containers to put them in. In addition to the expected greenhouse of plants, was a beautiful walkway that winds around from the parking area to the greenhouse. Along this walkway are a variety of examples of landscaping, using orchids as well as different types of bushes, trees and ground cover. It is definitely worth the trip to see and difficult not to buy the beautiful orchids they sell once you're there.
