We wanted someone to capture our day and make everyone in the room feel loved and wanted and to share in the joy we feel for each other. When we hired Michael, we knew he would do an amazing job, BUT..... he more than exceeded our expectations! He took the time to get to know us and our story. He memorized information. He was present in the room, but let the celebration be the center of the excitement. He weaved our recordings into a song for our grandparents and our parents and captured our feelings without us being a teary mess on our big day. Every single guest that was present cried happy tears and each one told us how much they truly enjoyed our wedding, most saying it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Many people who said they had to leave early ended up staying til the end. We can't express our appreciation enough…read more Our gratification extends leaps-and-bounds beyond their job of taking pictures and capturing moments. In that capacity they were terrific - organized, professional, well versed at their craft and seem to have keen eye for photography. However, because of a miscommunication and gross negligence with one of our other vendors (All Occasions Party Rentals) , we found out an hour before the ceremony they will not be setting anything up for ceremony or reception - they literally dropped off all of the lines and dishware in big pile. Without hesitation Jamie and Karissa stepped in and busted their butts to help get everything setup...and just in nick of time. We are so grateful words can't express. They are the best!!!

Well, to back up a bit, I researched high and low for a memorable, intimate venue but the photographs are what sold us. So happy I called a few weeks after booking the location to see if we could add the extra session the day before our wedding. Not only was the photographer flexible and available, but affordable. Score!! Rick is a photographer with the venue who took our pictures both the day before and at our wedding. Rick and the quality of the pictures he took really lived up to (and exceed) our expectations, could not have asked for a better experience. We thought at best, we'd get a handful of pictures for the price at a single location. However to our surprise, Rick had the afternoon free and it was a gorgeous day, he asked us if we were free to check out another location and we enthusiastically said yes! Granted nearly everywhere you look is an exceptional, scenic Kodak moment, but I don't believe our pictures could've been captured better by anyone else. The rest of the trip Ray and I took a lot of pictures of several beautiful areas within and around the state park. But as you can guess, they look nothing like the ones Rick took :) Rick's blew us away on both days. We never looked better and Mother Nature could not have been captured more beautifully. We got some amazing pictures with the Smoky's behind us, in the state park, on a bridge, in a creek, in front of old abandoned houses, just to name a few. Being a resident of the area, it became apparent quickly Rick knew all the great spots at the right time of day. It was truly a most special day and we couldn't be more thankful to have the pictures to cherish. Thank you!

When we received our first set of photos for our cabin that was to be posted on Airbnb, they were not exactly what we were expecting. After initial conversation about redoing some of the photos, we were fearful that our concerns were not being heard. Then Kaitlyn, the main photographer and editor, went above and beyond to deliver us a product that met our needs. Smoke n Lenses photography is superb both in style and composition. Kaitlyn explained that she was initially trained in real estate photography and after discussing our needs for Airbnb photography, she was able to flawlessly capture the space in a way that guests would be able to envision themselves staying their for the holidays with their family. This was not easy. Our cabin has ALOT of wood, more than a normal cabin. Getting the right lighting, both in pre and post production is difficult. I was amazed at her superb skill to do so. Kaitlyn and Garett are budding Airbnb photographers with lots of talent and over half a decade of professional photography experience. They care deeply for their business and service to their customers. Being a business owner is tough but rewarding work. It can be very difficult at times due to verbose jerks, like me, who write critical reviews. I am so appreciative of both Kaitlyn and Garett's care and effort to work it out, even when things got escalated. Investors! We had an absolutely incredible experience with Chasing Lux. We hired Macie for both our wedding…read morephotography and our engagement shoot, and couldn't be happier. My wife and I were a bit nervous for the engagement shoot since we'd never done a photo shoot before, and posing for pictures doesn't always come naturally to us. Macie made the whole process so easy and so much fun. She was incredibly professional and guided us gently but confidently so our pictures came out perfectly. At the wedding, she somehow was always in the right place at at right time, but also always discreet. She captured for us so many brief beautiful moments that could so easily have been missed. Our wedding photos were so beautiful, and not once were we stressed about pictures on our wedding day. Macie communicated clearly and was always very responsive. I have two words: Miracle Worker!…read more Positive Perceptions has photographed two houses for me now and both photo sets came out amazing. The first house had fairly good lighting and the photos looked incredible - it was listed for sale and had back-to-back showings scheduled all day for the first three days, and received multiple offers - needless to say, I was impressed. Then they drove out to photograph a cabin for me. The cabin is an A-frame house with only a few small windows, providing very little natural lighting - even with all the lights turned on the house can feel very dark and cavernous. It had been listed for sale previously and the old listing photos were dull, dingy, and definitely accentuated the poor lighting. The photos that Positive Perceptions provided absolutely blew me away! They were able to make the house look so bright and inviting, and really highlighted the tropical colors that are used throughout its decor. It doesn't even look like the same house! I just can't rave enough about what a great job they do - not only do the photos turn out beautifully, but they are also very fast and so professional! I just can't say enough great things about this company - I will absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for photos to make their property stand out!

He sent a handy checklist to help get the house ready for photos. He really went above and beyond by arriving at a time when the sun was out and shinning on the front of my house! Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference. He took many photos of the house and then got them edited within a couple days; all for under $100. Professional photos at a reasonable price.
