Becca did a…read morestellar job of taking care of our beloved cat Riley on two occasions this summer. --earlier in the summer, when we went for a week to the Canadian Rockies and just recently, when we visited my daughter and son-in-law down on Cape Cod. Becca came over twice each day, morning and night. She fed Riley, checked his water, played with him a bit, gave him his thyroid medication in his ears, scooped his litter box, turned on the air conditioning for him, and more! She also wrote us by email, one to three paragraphs every morning and every evening, telling us how each session went. In addition, she even took photos of Riley and sent them to us each and every day! We had great peace of mind knowing that Riley was being well-cared for and loved. Becca has a real passion for her job and for all animals. She loved Riley from the start because she adores animals--cats and dogs and horses and many more. She was very easy and pleasant to work with, had reasonable prices, and was always warm, friendly, personable, and professional. She was fearful and had no social skills. Emma worked with Belle a couple times a week for a few weeks on basic training and commands. Bell is now a well-behaved happy-go-lucky dog. She plays with all sizes and types of dog now. Emma has taken care of our dogs a total of three while we are away. We feel it is important to keep our dogs at home and on the same routine while we are away. Emma sends photos and updates to us. And when we get home Emma provides a report card on each dog. Where the diagnosis confirmed by the ER veterinarian. No family should ever have to experience the fear, expense, and heartbreak that we did because their pet was not properly cared for. A boarding facility should understand the serious dangers of heat exposure, especially for large dogs, and take appropriate precautions. Based on our experience, that did not happen. The lack of knowledge, judgment, and care shown while our dog was in Kathy's custody resulted in a preventable, life-threatening medical emergency. We trusted Kathy's Boarding and Grooming with a beloved member of our family, and that trust was completely shattered. We cannot recommend this business and strongly urge other pet owners to think carefully before leaving their animals there.
