Thankfully, I found Mir or Nir at the Henna Lounge at the Kihei Kalama Village, one of my favorite places to cruise and shop! I always choose the same tattoo and had a picture as reference for him. I asked how much it would cost, and he quoted $35. It was still more than I am used to paying for this small hand tattoo, but since it was near the end of my trip, I decided now was the time! (Normally I pay $20.) Mir and I had a nice chat while he created my tattoo, in this cute little comfy studio. My daughter and her friends walked in a short time later and also decided to have a tattoo created. My tip for your tattoo placement is to choose an area where there will be minimal bending. I had mine on the back of my hand and the design crossed the skin where my wrist bent. If you accidentally bend it while the design is drying, there is a good chance it will bleed. Mine did, but Mir fixed it. Next time, I will have the design moved up a little bit. Mir was a delight and very accommodating.
