Very inviting atmosphere and a sort of friendly and cheerful space. Good for doing 'light' work like reading or hanging out with a friend. Food seems fresh and is tasty and light. Decent (maybe one of the best in Paris) prices for tea! and interesting beverage options (speculoos flavored milk). The three women who work here are 'nice'- helpful and friendly enough but I've had some strange interactions/moments of confusion repeatedly with one of them. Also, avoid going here during after school hours and perhaps Wednesdays if you don't want to be surrounded by children- locals are likely to bring their kids here for a snack. The first time I've been here was while I was walking the streets of Montmartre and came across this cafe on the corner of the street. The name Soul Kitchen sounded familiar to me. Of course it would, I had bookmarked it months ago and it was in the back of my memory storage cabinet of "Places to try". It was a weekend during a busy brunch time but being a solo diner, I was able to get a table by the shelf of children's toys and books. Items are available a la carte but they also have a 3 course prix fixe menu. I was quite hungry so I decided to indulge myself with 3 courses. Out of the choices, I had the salad which came in a cereal sized bowl. Hearty and fresh, no wilty lettuce to be found. The main was what they called a tortilla. Very similar to a frittata. Fluffy with a flaky pie crust. I didn't think I'd have room for dessert. But there's always room for dessert. A berry panna cotta with cookie bottom came in a cute mini mason jar. Now I've come back for something sweet and a coffee. I wasn't sure if there would be much left since it was close to closing time but I was in luck. As I approached the counter I can see a tart with raspberries. Sold. A slice of raspberry lemon mousse cheesecake and an iced latte hit the spot. The space is cozy but bright and airy thanks to the big windows that open up and let in natural light and a breeze. The staff is very friendly who will indulge you if you want to practice your French but will seamlessly switch to English if they see question marks in your eyes. Their fast and free wifi is appreciated to us visitors which make it great so we can check in on Yelp... amongst other things. The next time I come back, I want to try their famous granola but also might just buy a few pieces of their dishware. Came here for brunch and it is the cutest little cafe! You go up and place your order at the cash and that day I had a salad with some sort of quiche. It was interesting because there was rice in it with zucchini, other random veggies and caramelized onions on top (could have had so much more of those onions). SOOO amazingg. I have to say the portion is small but hey its french haha. I came here for Sunday lunch/brunch, probably around noon. We were told they were full but we could leave our name and phone number and they'd call us when a table for two was ready, probably in 45 minutes. Thankfully, we were called in under half an hour and got a cute little table in the corner of the restaurant, away from the door and the cold. The menu had three options: a Thai egg wrap, Mac and cheese with smoked salmon, and a Spanish tortilla (there was one veggie and one non veggie option). I chose the egg wrap, and my date took the mac and cheese. I loved my wrap- I'd never normally order an egg wrap in a restaurant because I feel I can make a really good one for myself at home, but this was so delicious. It had a spicy Thai sauce, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. It came with a side salad. My boyfriend liked his macaroni, but didn't love it because he thought t should be creamier. I tried it (avoiding the salmon) and thought it was nice. We finished the meal with a little piece of fruits rouge cake each, which was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was efficient and friendly enough, and I liked that we could grab our own bread at the little counter in the middle of the restaurant so we didn't have to wait for more. Totally randomly found this place by accident...was walking to the Paris flea market from Sacre-Coeur and walked past what looked to be a really great little spot to grab brunch. Wasn't until I sat down inside and looked at the yelp reviews...score! And it didn't disappoint. Probably my favorite breakfast in Paris was here. Very beautiful little bakery in Montmartre. My husband and I ate there twice during our honeymoon in Paris. Although it is a little pricey, the food is very good. Our favorite thing was their chi latte. It was extra spicy and a perfect way to warm up those chilly October mornings. read more

I rarely rate 5 stars, but they deserve it! A cute interior tucked away in a back street of Montmartre, but still surprisingly full of tourists... The staff is super friendly and quick, the food is all organic and absolutely delicious (I went there twice and it felt wholesome and guilt free), their takeaway utensils and bags are all recyclable. They have daily challenges that can win you a Madeleine if you win :) great selection of drinks and overall really cosy. However it does get a bit crowded and there aren't many tables, so plan ahead! read more

Absolutely amazing! This was the best meal of our trip! The pork sandwich was better than the ones in Texas! They had fresh juice. I had the apple and something, and my friend had the strawberry. Both were fantastic! They served a salad with each entree that was one of the better things I've had on this trip. We finished the meal off with fruit in vanilla with a Madeline on the side. of the ten days i spent in Paris, this was my favorite restaurant. though i probably wouldn't make a trip there next time I'm in town, i highly recommend this place. so it's a 4.5 stars (rounding up). i like the atmosphere. it's very much like a cozy cafe here in San Francisco. they have WiFi. staff were friendly and helpful (there was only one *tiny* table left when we got there. they seem to be more concerned than we were and was trying to figure out where we can sit). just like other Parisian restaurants, they have a prefix meal. we were there on Thanksgiving. so they had a thanksgiving theme meal. we picked the sweet potato with chicken mini casserole (I'm sure they had a fancy french name for it). it was tasty. i liked the salad too (the lady prepping it behind the counter seem to be very passionate about putting it together). we had a couple desserts (the fruit cobbler that came with the meal and a cookie of some sort). they were fine. i had a mocha there, too. it was alright. overall, it was a comfy place to have lunch, people are nice, not all tourists, WiFi. i like it quite a lot. read more

This is a cute little cafe, open all day (closed evenings) that serves a very reasonably priced menu (12.50euros) that includes an inventive salad a main dish, and a lovely dessert. The menu changes daily, but there are always 2 choices for a main, and they are great about offering options, when possible, for food allergies/vegetarians. It's always super fresh and inventive. Yesterday I had a curry chicken wrap with cashews gigantic raisins and a pile of lettuce, with a lovely green salad with pumpkin seeds, quinoa, and an excellent vinaigrette, plus an almond cake with fresh strawberries. Last time I was there, I had an excellent bowl of lentil stew with bacon and cream fraiche (available without bacon and creme fraiche) and a frommage blanc parfait with homemade lemon curd, blackberry coulis, and a dollop of whipped cream. Their coffee is great, including their lattes, and they offer an assortment of baked goods and fresh juices for a quick breakfast. Extra bonus, the staff are super sweet and smiley, a rarity in Paris. read more
