Absolutley perfect wedding food, amazing catering experience from Michi! They made us welcome since…read morewe first did our tasting, having a cute sign drawn for us. As soon as we ate the food, we knew exactly that we had to hire them! The food was amazing, they made us feel like we were eating at home with them. Yes, they were expensive, but they do ALOT and provide alot and during+after the wedding, we had so many people telling us it was the absolute best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. - They helped coordinate linens and rentals and helped us when we wanted to do a second meeting to confirm our selections. - They gracefully answered questions throughout when finalizing our menu, and the 2nd tasting was just as delicious as the first. Their service and warmth did not diminish one bit after we signed. - During the wedding day, mr Michi himself handed us a handroll right after the ceremony, and that honestly was one of the moments I remember vividly. - The late night snacks were much appreciated by people, and after dancing, people appreciated the extra fuel. - They even helped clean up afterwards! Even for things that werent part of dinner. Honeslty made our wedding the event of a lifetime and it wouldn't have been the same without the amazing Michi family catering us.

We had two tastings, one upon signing the contract and a final one closer to the date where we were able to bring along family and a close friend. They served us full plates of every dish so we even left with plenty of leftovers, which was such a fun bonus for us! Throughout the planning process, they were very easy to communicate with and were highly responsive via email. It was super convenient having them coordinate the table design at their warehouse, including the linens, plateware, and glassware. While the design meeting isn't a "boutique" curated experience, their warehouse has plenty of options to choose from if you already have a general color palette and vibe in mind. On the wedding day, the staff was extremely attentive and brought us hand rolls before cocktail hour even started to ensure we actually got to eat. The live hand roll station was a massive hit with our guests and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated how open they were to our custom cocktails; I provided my own recipe and li hing powder for a pineapple li hing margarita, which they executed perfectly. Cost-wise, this is not a budget vendor and is on the more expensive side. However, the full-service, high-touch planning and day-of experience, from the tastings to the seamless coordination of all design elements, completely justified the price. You truly get what you pay for, and we have no regrets. If food is a top priority for your wedding, we highly recommend Michi's. Their expertise made our day so special, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

Although the calamari was well seasoned, it was extremely rubbery, and for the price you get an extremely small portion. Calamari comes with 2 sauces- the tartar sauce was good, the tomato sauce was very good. Because of the very small portion and it being the rubberiest calamari I've ever had- would not order again. The tortellini pomodoro sauce was delicious, relatively small portion as well, but I'd order it again, the sauce was that good. I'd probably order from this place again, although I wouldn't necessarily be in a rush to do so. They seem to make some good sauces...

Beautiful! I came to…read moreMama Mia on a Saturday evening for a birthday party. The host booked the entire outside patio area, reserving about 15 tables, the back room for serving food, and space for a live singer and dancing. It was absolutely stunning. The restaurant allowed the host to set up a table for decorations and gifts, with custom decorations on each table too. There is a separate entrance for the outside patio that leads directly to the parking lot. This was nice because it made us feel separated from the rest of the restaurant. The patio area is gorgeous. There are grape leaves and vines covering the walls and ceiling. Even when it's sunny out, the plants provide a nice cover that keeps it shady and cool in there. There is also a pretty fountain where you can see birds taking a bath. It is very picturesque. The patio connects to the ballroom, bar, and restaurant if you need to access any of those things. For this event, the back banquet room was used for the food warmers for buffet-style serving. The entrees were pot roast, chicken marsala, and salmon Genovese. The sides were vegetables, mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and bread. They had an employee carving the meat and serving it for the guests. I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with the food. To me, it all tasted quite bland and flavorless. The meat was tender, but lacked a distinct flavor. The vegetables seemed a little undercooked. There was also a spread of appetizers and drinks set out in the dining area (potstickers, teriyaki meatballs, iced tea, lemon water, and lemonade). I was also not pleased by these. The potstickers were alright - a little spicy and tangy. The meatballs were nice and plump, but I did not enjoy the sauce. The drinks were awful. The lemons used in the tea and water tasted almost rancid. The lemonade tasted like a lemon-scented cleaner. It was clearly made with some sort of powdered flavoring that tasted pretty nasty. For dessert, they served tiramisu and ice cream (spumoni maybe?). The tiramisu was delicious. It was incredibly soft and fluffy with a rich flavor. The service was very impressive here. Servers came frequently to clear dishes and bar glasses. They catered to requests well and brought the dessert plates quickly. They were friendly and served the large party of around 90 people efficiently. I would recommend Mama Mia as a party venue but with the caution that the food served (at least for this specific menu) could be improved.

Wow... Hosted an…read moreevent with about ~115 people. While I was unfamiliar with ordering food for a large number of people, Priscilla helped recommend the amount of food for the requirements, "I don't want to run out of food during the event" and "we love desserts". Another side note: I was catering snacks rather than a meal. I ended up ordering - tri-tip - mashed potatoes - roasted veggies - assorted bread - lemon garlic salmon - veggie garlic pasta - Greek salad - dinner rolls - fresh fruit display - fresh fruit tarts - petit fours - gluten free mini cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, lemon I appreciate that Priscilla suggested to halve the salmon fillets to have double the number of salmon pieces for guests to have snack portions rather than meal portions. Although mini cupcakes were not listed on her menu, she was able to provide them. Also, you can ask her about gluten free desserts. You can have more than just macarons. Compliments I received... "Did you make the food? The salmon and tri-tip were so juicy." "This is better than most wedding food." 2 people inquired who I used to cater for the event. I received general praise that the food was good. I received explicit praise that the petit fours and fruit tarts were good. The mashed potatoes were thick but good. Passion for catering's setup and tear down went smoothly. It was maybe 20-30 minutes of setup and 10 minutes of tear down. I appreciate that they were able to provide decor for the food tables. They also provided some takeout containers for us to take leftover food. 10/10 would cater from them again.
