All three of my children have loved Music Together since they were toddlers. The classes are engaging, fun and such a fantastic way for parents/caregivers to interact with their little ones. I loved having this special time each week where I got to sing, dance and play instruments with each of my children. Music Together really brought home to me, just how much my children are observing and listening to me every day. Now, our entire family sings along to the songs at home and in the car. We love participating in Music Together with Sounds Good Westchester with our 2 year old. We started with the Generations class back in the Winter season after moving here. (We took another Music Together class in our previous neighborhood.) We enjoyed the opportunity to visit the residents at the Osborne while also having fun and making music. Since the Spring, Karen, the director, has adapted to a successful virtual format. We do at least one weekly Zoom class and take advantage of their other offerings, like pop-up live and pre-recorded classes on Facebook. All of the teachers are creative and friendly and we love that we can experience everyone's classes in this virtual format. My son sings the songs throughout the week. Karen is always looking for and implementing feedback from families. read more

We have been going to music together classes for over a year now and love them. My son looks forward to it every week. More recently the classes have been virtual due to the pandemic, but it has still been an enjoyable and worthwhile experience for both me and my son. The virtual classes are still interactive and my son loves seeing his teacher and classmates online. My three year old daughter and I have been attending Music Together classes since she was 2 months old and we have gone through ALL nine of their books! I LOVE that this music class focuses on the development of parent-child relationships through music. The CD, phone app and accompanying music book really make for a wonderful musical experience outside of the classroom! I love learning all of these songs at home with my daughter and being silly while singing with her! At class, they teach you all different kinds of ways to change up the song from just singing what's written to acting things out, dancing around, playing with all sorts of musical instruments and toys and being silly with actions and words! It is so much fun! I highly recommend this music class if you've got a little one and I plan on going through all the books a second time around when I have baby #2, especially now that they've redesigned their music books! They offer free demo classes so that you can see whether it's a fit for you and your child before enrolling AND if you are enrolled in a class, they offer unlimited makeups and bonus classes that you can easily schedule through their website so that you can really get your money's worth! I cannot say enough amazing things about Sounds Good Westchester! We have been making music together since my daughter was 6 months old and music class is her favorite place to be and is still our favorite place even though we have since moved to a virtual setting. Since the pandemic, Karen and team worked hard to make a seamless transition from in person class to virtual. They didnt skip a beat and offered a variety of ways for us to keep making music with them at home until they got the zoom classes up and running. It helped to make this difficult time feel a bit more "normal" and quickly became the highlight of our days. I am so grateful that we are able to continue making music and that my daughter doesn't have to miss out on something she loves so much! read more

I can't recommend this music program enough! My son and I started going when he was about 2 months old and it's been great. It's a lot of fun during class--everyone participates, singing along and playing the instruments provided. There is always another fun thing to look forward to, like a parachute, ribbons, scarves, etc. during one of the songs. But the biggest benefits for me were ideas for how to enjoy and utilize music day to day and in the friendships formed with other families. You learn a lot of new songs in each session that handy to know (especially the lullabies!), and you get a cd and an app so that the music is always accessible. I cannot speak highly enough about Sounds Good Westchester! My daughter is currently 20 months old, and I have been taking my her to class since she was 4 months old - we both adore it. All of the teachers are fantastic and genuinely love what they do. There are unlimited make ups for when we have to miss class, and also a number of bonus classes each week for no additional charge, so we often end up going twice a week or even more (I honestly feel like I'm taking advantage of this policy, though the director has assured me that I'm not ). With each semester you get an adorable illustrated music book and access to all of the recorded songs in the collection. I haven't always been the best about playing the music from each semester - we generally go to class and occasionally listen to some of our (my) favorite songs outside of class. However, we recently had a long car ride and I put the Music Together songs on because my daughter was getting restless, and she sang along with practically every song. Sounds Good Westchester is wonderful! I am a mother of 4-year-old twins and we have taken classes since they were babies. It is a great program for young children of all ages and siblings of different ages. At the first session you are given a music CD and App of songs carefully crafted to foster musical development - the music becomes the soundtrack to your life and occupies the kids in the car and at home. The classes are creative, energetic and a relaxed setting to play and have fun with the kids. Karen, the Director, is so thoughtful about every element of this uniquely nurturing program and making it work well for the caregivers too. Sounds Good has been such an important addition to my son's activities. He was hooked from his first lesson--experiencing music live is just different than listening to pre-recorded music (which he also loves). Caregivers participate and get involved in class, so the children experience the music with someone they feel comfortable with. We have been to classes with many of the instructors, and they're all fabulous: all have personal styles and approaches to the music, but they are all enthusiastic, engaging and professional. The Generations classes, at assisted living facilities where residents observe the classes, are particularly lovely. There are new songs each term, and each term families get a music book with the songs, sheet music, illustrations and notes; a CD of all the songs; and a code to listen to the songs on the app (the terms accumulate on the app, so you can listen back to older terms--not to mention saving videos of your child singing the songs, and the "karaoke" feature that lowers or removes the vocals so your kid can sing to the song solo). The music also has tonal patterns or rhythmic beats "built in," so the kids are learning the structure of music without realizing it. Prospective families are encouraged to attend a class for free, to try it out, which is what we did. I can't say enough good things about this company--Sounds Good has introduced my son to so much music, many different music styles, and new friends. It's the best. read more

My three-year-old and I LOVE Sounds Good Westchester - Music Together! We've been attending their classes since he was one and his appreciation of music and singing abilities have grown with each session we've attended. I always thought I had a "terrible voice," but for my three-year-old it's always music to his ears. He loves nothing more than a sing-along and the CDs from our Music Together classes are on regular rotation in the car (and even I like to listen to them!). I cannot recommend these classes enough! It's a great way to spend quality time with your kid, really focused on playing and being with them without all the usual distractions life throws our way.
