Explains why every week she was on vacation in California or on some international adventure. 2) The energy is HORRIBLE esp. if you are not donating to all of their programs. They won't even greet your child when you arrive with him/her. The teachers all look exhausted, unhappy and annoyed. And they are quick to tell you what they think of every detail of your child's abilities -- mostly negative. 3.) They charge a HUGE deposit (no other preschool in the area charges like this), and BEWARE of the contract. We lost several thousand dollars for taking our son out early. It's insane. 4.) It is so tiny that in the winter the kids are all huddled together in a small space -- ALL DAY. A MUCH BETTER OPTION: World Cup Nursery School. We went in person hoping to speak with someone directly about the camp and learn more about the program. When we arrived at the school the women at the door told us to call a number posted on the door so someone could come downstairs and speak with us. We were never even welcomed past the front steps and were left standing outside the entire time. After calling the number we were simply told the program was full. No one ever came downstairs to speak with us and no one took the time to explain the program or even mention the possibility of applying next year. The interaction felt very cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming. As someone who works in hospitality I understand how important first impressions and "moments of truth" are. Even if a program is full families should still be treated with kindness, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, the way we were treated made me feel very small and unwelcome. Based on this experience I would never want to send my child to a place where families are treated this way.

The teachers really understand that every child is unique and give a lot of individual attention to every child. Every teacher, as well as both directors, have amazing experience in being an educator, teaching at Hitchock, or being parents themselves. The playground is new, safe, and really a fantastic area for the kids to play. My kids have played for hours after school hours on the playground with their friends. The indoor gym is a huge, open, bright space for the kids to run around in. The school brings out a variety of things to play with, including my kids favorites - bikes. The classrooms all have lots of windows with great light, always very clean and organized, with a variety of educational toys. The 6 month to 24 month program is very unique and a wonderful opportunity that prepared my child for school at an earlier age, while having fun with friends. The children who were in the toddler program are all ready to go when starting the 2s. In the 2s, 3s, and 4s, the school does an incredible job at teaching. We feel our Hitchcock school graduate is very prepared for Kindergarten, compared to his peers. I am very grateful that they take the time and have great patience when teaching children. The school has a great weekly music program and my kids really enjoy learning many songs. They also have fantastic weekly gymnastics class that my kids love. There are also a lot of extra activies, such as woodworking, animals that are brought in or special shows. We have also really enjoyed the after school lunch bunch and extended day opportunities. My child's favorite extended day program was science. From my experiences with other schools in the area, Hitchcock school is truly the best, and where we choose to send our children.

We were given 1 option on a Saturday at 4pm. Or another option 2 months later, again at 4pm on a Saturday. Not what I'd call plenty of options for a make up. Our only other choice was to "donate" the lessons we would miss. This place promises the moon to get you to sign up and is a complete scam. Very poor way to run a business. Zero flexibility. Zero respect for the customer. I'm so sorry I signed up here. There are so many better options in the area where I won't feel I am being scammed and cheated. **update- The general manager called me and apologized for the ordeal and I was grateful to be given a refund and not charged for the 2nd month. After the refund was posted and confirmed, I was contacted again and asked to take my review down. I refused. I think it's important for parents to see an honest experience.
