Booked their tubing at Campgaw Mountain and beer event and had such an amazing time! Food: Dinner was included and we had like buffet style dinner served to us at Pennings Farm Cidery. The food was warm and simple (pasta, meatballs, veggies and salad) along with some delicious apple crumble for dessert! The Cidery was also amazing because we were able to also shop around within the market to bring home - bought some local honey which I love! Cost: Great deal for a roundtrip bus + 2 hour tubing + dinner + a beer/cider! Everything is taken cared of and so it makes the experience much more enjoyable. Environment: Specifically Campgaw Mountain, although it was fun, the tubing here can be very busy. At certain times the waiting time was pretty long just to down down once. However, towards the end the line does get shorter/moves quicker. Service: Overall great package deal with everything included! I booked their Long Island wine tour with a group of friends. We went on a Sunday and the bus was fully packed. We weren't able to sit directly next to each other but were lucky to grab four aisle seats across from each other so we were close enough to talk. Our tour lead was very upbeat and friendly. We made three stops. All of the vineyards were about five minutes from one another. The trip to the first winery from the pick up location at 85 Delancey Street was about an hour and forty five minutes. We passed some greenery, but mostly stayed on the highway so it wasn't particularly scenic. It might be nicer in the Fall when the leaves change. At the first winery, Lenz, they served us a glass of rose as the first tasting as soon as we walked in. We were seated at outdoor picnic tables. They came around about every 10-15 minutes after that to pour the next two tastings, a red and a white wine. For these, you had the option to choose between two different wines. After the tastings, we were able to walk around the vineyards, which were lovely and sunny. This first stop is also where we had lunch. The vegetarian option wasn't great. Cold, limp, flavorless grilled veggies were served on a whole wheat bun. Lunch also included chips, which is what I used to fill up. The second stop was Raphael, which was my favorite. One of the owners gave a brief history of the vineyard and then provided a description of each of the wines in the tasting. We sat at large tables and the tasting flight was pre-poured before we arrived. They also served packaged charcuterie meals that included prosciutto, mozzarella, and crackers. After the tasting, we bought bottles of wine. Note that the prices are higher if you drink the wine at the vineyard rather than buying to go. They have a second floor balcony with a gorgeous view of the sprawling vineyards below. The last spot was Osprey Dominion. We felt like just a number here, as it wasn't a very personalized experience. We had four tastings, but no one guided us through the selections. You could purchase hot dogs here as well as "sangria" which was basically just a rose spritzer. You could walk through the vineyards, but they were not as picturesque as the first two spots. We got back to the city safely and on time. Overall, it was a fun, well-organized day but maybe a bit overpriced. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience white water rafting on the Lehigh River. The rafting itself was ok (just too big of a group), but I thought the organization of the pickup and drop off was terrible. 1. The directions said to be at the pick up point 15 minutes early (6:45am for a 7am departure). However, one group was 30 MINUTES late and we ended up waiting until 7:30a to depart. It should be everyone's own responsibility to show up on time. The fact that they chose to wait 30 minutes for 2 people was unreasonable. 2. Because we were late, they gave us a QR code to sign the waivers online instead of in person. However, one person did not fill it out and they could not figure out who it was since the waiver is on a "different system". So that took another 30 or so minutes. 3. The group was way too big. There were around 120 people and 25 rafts with only 4 guides. We ended up having to wait after every rapid for a long time so that everyone can catch up. Having to stop so often made the rafting not as enjoyable. 4. Due to the late start, we were already at risk of hitting traffic on the way back. They asked us to be at the bus by 4:20p and nobody listened. People were busy ordering food and they didn't do anything to try to hurry them up. We ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes for everyone to get their food (waiting 30 minutes seems to be the theme of the day..) and hit serious traffic. The bus didn't get back to Manhattan until 7:30p when it was supposed to be back around 6p. 5. We got back to the bus on time but someone was sitting in our seats. The bus was half empty but all the empty seats were "reserved" with a bag or hat. We complained about this and they did NOTHING. They told us to wait until everyone got on the bus and to sit in the last remaining seats. If someone took our seats, shouldn't we be allowed to take another seat instead of waiting for everyone to get on and having to separate and take the last reject seats?? Overall, I will not be booking with Sourced Adventures again. read more

This tour that I was on was for an early birthday celebration for me at 3 wineries as included in the tour. Our guide was Sophie and she was amazing! I went on a guided tour before but this one was so much better. I found them on Groupon but I believe the prices may be cheaper if you go to their website. And on this what lunch was included in almost every single tour. The first one had a hearty lunch and the second had a snack. The wineries selected were beautiful! We went to Lenz, Raphael, & Ospreys wineries. And my friends and I loved them all! We had a great time, the host was helpful, kind, and pleasant, and the bus was very clean and spacious! We did the Denver snow tubing and brewery tour in January. We were the first tour they have done so they still have to iron out the kinks. The tour guide was very nice and friendly. The major con about our trip was I felt there was a lot of waiting around at every point and no one knew what was going on. The bus was nice and they played a movie for us to watch on the drive. The tubing was fun. The food was extremely spicy chili (no one ate it) with salad, breadsticks and a beverage. Someone asked if they had vegetarian chili and it looked like they hadn't thought of that but were able to accommodate him. The brewery was a small microbrewery. I saw a few people order food here (probably because they didn't eat the chili). Overall this is a great idea for tourists that don't have cars and want to spend the day outside of Denver. Once they do a few tours I'm sure the kinks will have been ironed out read more

We went tubing in Chicago on 8/7. AWFUL TRIP. This is what I sent about everything that went wrong, and below is the CEO's response: Hi - Following up on my Instagram and website messages. · We arrived at 8;15 (as stated on our ticket) and were informed that we weren't leaving until 9am. We left at 9:22 · We weren't on the "check in list" along with 4 others that arrived near the same time we did · The guides (2 girls) were super slow at everything and had NO control over the group o They could not guide us once we arrived to the tubing location (where to pay, pick up things, etc.), they just stood around watching the chaos o Once we got on the river, we didn't see them more than a few times. We were early in the pack, so we were told that one would be leading the pack § We weren't totally sure where to get off, and they didn't direct us o Could NOT control taking a group of 50 adults to another state...10/10 would not trust going with them again · Once we got done tubing, our ticket said that we were going to a brewery...we indeed did not. We stayed at the tubing location at ate a lack-luster, 3-hour old sandwich and fries o We were told that they didn't order enough sandwiches, so they had to order more, and we all had to sit and wait for 7 sandwiches to be delivered....why not order a few extra in the first place · We were supposed to be home by 5pm, as said on our ticket, and we did not arrive until 7pm. I understand a few minutes late, but NOT 2 hours · When we addressed the guides, they told us that we were wrong on timing and that we weren't supposed to go to a brewery, and there wasn't anything we could do about it · When we arrived, the guides finally were told that since we purchased through a 3rdparty app (Fever), they gave us wrong information o Sourced adventures controls the message...you guys are responsible for what 3rdparty is communication to those who pay $139/ticket to attend your event · We (and several others on the trip) have been on a tubing trip nearly every year over the last 8 years. It was $80 and included a snack on the way out, great guides, hearty lunch; the price you offer was super disappointing I am requesting a full refund, as our trip was awful, and did not live up to what we were told on our ticket. I'm not sure how that happened and we have already notified them to make the changes. That said, we do reserve the right to change the itinerary as circumstances require and this year has been especially challenging as far as that goes, but of course we never want inaccurate information out there and so for that I do apologize. The estimated time of return provided cannot be guaranteed due to a variety of unknowns inherent with recreational outdoor trips, such as traffic, river conditions, or other incidents that may arise along the journey. As far as a refund goes you would need to contact Fever directly for that. Since you booked through Fever we do not have access to your payment information (they do not share that or any other guests details with us) so if that's something you would like to pursue you would need to contact them directly and you are welcome to do so. I've been on several trips with Sourced Adventures: a camping and whitewater rafting trip at Lehigh River, a one-day ski trip at Hunter Mountain, and a one-day rafting trip, again at Lehigh. When it comes to excursions that take you away from (and back to) NYC, this is the best bang for your buck! The roundtrip transportation and adventure packages make it easy for a NYC resident without a car to get out of the city. Note that I do adventure with other companies for various other trips, but keep coming back to Sourced Adventures for certain deals. I bought my first trip through Living Social, but once you get on their email list, they'll send you promo codes that make third-party deals obsolete. Plus, you can call them directly to work out a deal if you miss the deadline for a promo code. They'll work with us! I got to know some of the staff a bit during the camping and rafting trip I took with them last fall. They're a fun bunch! The date I initially booked was cancelled and I agreed to reschedule on the absolute last day of rafting that Whitewater Challengers, the folks that provide the actual rafting tours and provides the guides and gear, was running a tour. I was disappointed by the date change, but getting to hang out with the crew made up for it...and they released the dam that weekend and we had a more adventurous than usual trip down the river. I got a water rafting package here last summer for my wedding anniversary with my husband. It was our first rafting trip and my husband usually questions trips like this since I am the adventurer in the relationship but he loved is so much due to the way the guides from Sourced Adventures set it up in making the whole experience fun and safe. We first met the staff and group of adventurers at a certain location in Manhattan where we would be transported to Lehigh River. When we arrived to the river, the staff provided equipment and instructions on how to handle the paddle when hitting the water. My husband and I were placed in a raft with another group of strangers who immediately embraced us like long-lost friends. It is obvious that we were going to end up bonding since we all had to work together as a team in order to figure out how to get the boat moving. And even so more when we ended up getting stuck on a rock formation but thanks to the witty water guide, we were able to escape. The guides also provided buckets so that we could splash opposing teams, which made the trip even more amazing that I thought it would be. Then after an hour or so, we took a break for lunch and were provided with different options, from peanut butter to turkey and ham sandwich along with soft drinks and snacks. Overall, the staff was friendly, well-organized, and the true spirit of awesomeness. If you want to go on an adventure, Sourced Adventures is the people you want along your side so you'll have a good time and at the same time, they'll be keeping you safe on your journey. read more

This is a review for the NYC Snow Tubing and Brewery Bus taken in Jan 2020. Snow tubing was a lot of fun and most of my issues were not directly with Sourced Adventures (outside of the price). We had a bus issue from the get-go, took way longer to get to Mountain Creek due to unplowed/snowy roads, and the tubing company decided to close half the hill so we were limited to a couple of lanes with lots of other people. Since we were delayed to our arrival, everything else was shortened for time...less than 90 minutes tubing (only got to go down 5 times). The tubing is fun, but when there's 30 other people and half of the mountain closed, you can't do much beyond stand around and wait. Worth it if you can go on your own and they keep everything open. Where we went for dinner WAS NOT a brewery, but rather a country store/farm market that has a bar (Pennings Farm Market in Warwick, NY). We were supposed to be at each place for 2 hours, but dinner was cut to 45 minutes (since we were late and the staff wanted to go home) and there wasn't anything to do or see really, so luckily the time didn't quite matter. Dinner was a lackluster Italian buffet consisting of meatballs, pasta, potatoes, and a salad, which was really a plate piled high with lettuce. The hot food wasn't hot so I had to ask someone to microwave my food. They later admitted that their oven wasn't hot on time, but still went ahead and served us cold food. (Luckily I didn't get sick). Our visit included a free drink, but nothing to write home about here. Honestly, for the $110 I spent times the 10 of us in my friend group that went, we could have rented 2 cars, gone tubing, and saved hundreds. I don't find this trip to be worth it at all. read more

My friends and I had a great time on the Long Island winery trip! From our bus's departure and with each winery we visited, everything was seamless. We visited three wineries, and had plenty of time at each to explore, enjoy the warm weather and take pictures to our heart's content. The staff was very professional, attentive and friendly, makin sure everyone was fed and in good spirits each and every time we boarded the bus to visit another winery. I went on the River Tubing day trip from NYC on the 4th of July and had a great time! Everything went smooth and our driver and tour guides were amazing! It felt like an adult field trip and it seemed like everyone was having a great time. My only negative feedback is that their lunch was not great, nor do they have options if you are vegan. It was baked ziti, sausage, veggies, salad and bread. I'm pretty sure that the veggies and salad dressings weren't vegan nor could anyone confirm. If you have any food allergies I recommend brining your own food, as the brewery we stopped at also had no vegan options. read more

I was on the maiden voyage of the night tubing, brewery, and dinner trip to Mount Snow. This is my honest review of how things went, hopefully they will improve it for the next group. Bus: The bus driver was very nice and the bus was clean however there was no toilet paper in the bathroom or hand sanitizer. Tubing: The tubing was fun but there were a lot of other people tubing besides our group so there was a wait to go down. The staff at the mountain seemed uninterested in their jobs which was a little bit of a bummer when you are waiting to go down and the guy isn't paying attention at the top of the mountain and missing the all clear flag wave down below. We also found a wallet on a track and the staff just took it. Hopefully it was returned to its owner? There was a nice fire pit at the bottom of the tracks that was nice to warm up by at least. Brewery: When you go to a brewery you are expecting a beer tasting or a tour right? This is literally a small bar with old board games. We played board games and bought our own beer for 2 hours at a "brewery". The Italian dinner: The "Italian dinner" was literally a small buffet set up in the corner of the bar on a folding table with 2 large containers of salad, eggplant parm, dinner rolls, and PASTA WITH MINI HOTDOGS. No joke. It was a serving tray of spaghetti with a jar of sauce dumped in only the center with mini hotdogs. When I asked what the deal was with the hotdogs I was told the caterer is a kosher chef. The food was just aweful and I don't understand why they choose that caterer. Staff: The staff was nice but they didn't really seem to be organized. We were told the bus was staying right across from the tubing so we left things on the bus that we could grab if it got too cold- then the bus left. We didn't know how long we were tubing for our when to get back on the bus, one person told us 6:15 so we stopped around 6 then around the fire we were told 7. They played music way too loud on the way to the brewery and said if we didn't like it then blame it on so and so if the staff. With the Kyles running the show, and it still a budding company, disorganization and lack of communication were the memories we were left with. Fast forward a few years later, and lots has changed for the better! The trips are extremely organized with a solid staff of awesome guides across the board that do their best ensuring a great time is had by all the participants. We had Maddy and Mike on our early morning trip of kayaking in the Delaware River (in Penn), followed by a wine tasting under a tent at WestFall Farms and Winery. Everything was very organized and super fun no matter your level of kayaking or how much you wanted to drink. (At the winery, make sure you try the Blueberry chilled wine. The bus leaves prompt so please be on time! Our tour guide was very nice and friendly. We rode on a coach bus, it's not too chilly on the bus you don't need a blanket but i would recommend a pillow for your neck. We hit traffic on our way back from wine country and it can cause neck cramps to sleep in the chairs. The wine was pretty much bad at most of the stops we went to. Which isn't the tour guides fault honestly. I thought that they would teach us how to pair our wine with foods, or what aroma to smell in the glass , or walk us around and show us the production line but they didn't. You visit the business and you get five glasses of wine ( one vineyard gave us plastic cups) and you taste them at a table or you can walk into the vineyards. It was pretty dull and you spend over an hour at each location. It was deff a waste of time and i can say i won't be doing it again . read more

All I had to do that day was to wake up on time and get the the bus meet up point 15 minutes before they depart. And even when the email told us to print and fill out the waiver form in advance, they had extra forms and pens in case you forgot. The bus ride there was safe and fast. When we got there, Sourced organized our lunch and told us exactly where to pick up our life-jacket-vests. From there on out, Whitewater Challengers took care of us (separate review). After we were done, our bus leader made sure everyone was on the bus before departing. And we had a movie heading back! (Wedding Crashers) I think it was one of the more relaxing trips I've had in a while even though I had to wake up early (since there was no planning on my part). read more

I went on the kayak and wine tasting trip this past weekend. I live in NJ, so it was slightly inconvenient for me to go into the city to get the bus (I would have been fine just meeting at the destination but I don't think this is allowed). Anyway, the guides were nice, the kayaking was a lot of fun, and the wine tasting was great! We picked up the kayaks and took a 6 mile trip down the river to Kittatiny Canoes. The water was pretty calm, only a few patches of some rough waters. For kayaking virgins, it's a great place to learn. A few people in our group got into a little trouble during the rougher patches, but all in all it was fine. When we got to the camp, we got our lunches (not exactly amazing, but it was a sandwich and I was hungry so can't really complain)! Once we were ready to go to the winery, we hit the road and were there in about 10 minutes. A big tent was set up for us and we spent the rest of the afternoon sipping (some of us chugging) some delicious wine! The winery grounds were really nice and we had a ton of time to explore. We headed back to the city and were there by around 6:30ish. I recommend this to groups and singles alike. It's fun! read more

I have been on this trip twice now, and have every intention of making this an annual event! Sourced Adventures sees to every single detail, making for a seamless experience. We start the day on a comfortable coach bus and after voting on a movie, we hit the road. I would say the drive is about 2 hours. After getting settled at the campsite, it's time to get fitted for life jackets. We then have several training sessions, as safety is the top priority. Now it's time to raft! Not only is rafting a lot of fun, it is also a great workout. After rafting for a couple of hours, we stop eat lunch (there are vegetarian options available). Now it's time to get back in the water and raft back to shore. Oh- the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Once we return to shore, we have some time to shower and change. The tour guide does a great job rounding everyone up to ensure we can make it back to the city in time. I HIGHLY recommend packing the following items: -A change of clothes (a cozy sweatshirt and sweatpants are ideal for the bus home, which can be chilly) -A change of shoes (you will get wet on the raft!) -Extra snacks (rafting is a big calorie burner!) -Body lotion to apply after showering -A hairbrush, for the ladies -Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen Overall, this is a great adventure for all types of occasions, and I look forward to rafting again next year! read more

Not even my noise canceling headset stoped it to be extremely loud. She made the bus to become a party for all drunk people in the tour. She apparently has ZERO experiencing being a tour guide. I took their ski bus tour to Hunter Mountain twice. I really enjoyed it both of two times! There were a driver and a guide. The guide explained everything very clearly and so fun! We left Manhattan at 7am and came back here around 6pm. We could enjoy about 5 hours! Great customer service and very organized. We did the surf lesson + Rockaway beach trip. We paid $89 for a living social deal that included rountrip to the beach + surf lesson + surf rental. I think we paid a little too much to be honest even with the "deal". The bus trip was a bit jerky - and long winded because we made several pit stops (which we did not know was part of the plan until we got on the bus). We actually chose to take the A train home since we didn't want to deal with waiting for the bus...at least we got free beer and coconut water sponsored by Zico so that was a nice surprise. The surf lesson was good, it was by SkudInSurf - they were nice and helpful. We didn't get our one hour rental post lesson (due to classes and choppy weather), to which Sourced Adventures were accommodating and promised to get us the rental. Keep in mind the rash guards they lent us is totally communal use so if you aren't a fan of that, bring your own... Overall, the company seems solid and organized. I've used Sourced Adventures a few times. This review is for the Tubing & Brewery tour that I took on 7/8. There were about 11 of us that went for my Birthday. Alex was a great guide. The one piece of feedback I have is that on the tubing trips they should have two guides-- one for the front of the pack and one for the back of the pack. Unfortunately, the current was not pushing us as quickly as other groups and we got to the pull-out spot about an hour late which meant that we did not have any time to eat (not that there was any food left since everyone went back for seconds when we didn't show up). After drinking for a few hours on the river, food was critical. Also, once we got to the brewery, we had 15 minutes before the bus left. We used this time to buy food from a food truck (thank god they had that!!!). In the future, they should have a guide in the back to help keep things moving. Additionally, we didn't even know what time it was since we didn't have phones or watches due to the fact we were on the water. We would go again. It was a great trip! read more

Best girls trip! We took the 3 wine yard trip to PA and everything was perfect. The bus was on time the driver Mike was safe and our tour guide (forgot her name) Tyrell? Was awesome! Definitely recommend it. read more

We went to Lehigh river white water rafting. Everything was ok and very professional. Only 1 thing I don't like, there's too many people. Too many to the point that our group keep bumping each other in the placid river. But it's still fun cos we throw water to each other. read more

Then after that awesome fun experience, we decided to do another one with SA. We went River tubing and brewery on Sept 10, 2017, Chris and Hope were the tour guides. Both were fun and organized. Sorry Sourced Adventures--you lost a potential adventurer. My mom, a friend and I were booked for the snow tubing and brewery trip on Saturday. The day started off with high hopes, as we made our way over the river and into the city of Philadelphia, where the bus would make it's first stop on the way to the Poconos. I must say, that I LOVE how it's marked very clearly on your paperwork that you must arrive on time, as the bus will not wait for you. Being the prepared people that we are, my group parked at 30th Street Station at 1:30 pm and began booking it over to where the bus was supposed to do the pick-up at 2 pm (it was advised to be there 15 minutes early). Our paperwork mentioned the spot to meet was "across from the Megabus station"--we should have known right then that something was off, as there was no "station" for the buses, simply a long curb area where the buses park. And to make matters worse, "across" from that area was just a building--no help of any kind. We saw several Bolt and Mega buses, but none had any clue what we were talking about when we asked if they were part of our trip. There was no sign for the adventure company, or any indication that a special trip picked up in this area. I called the number listed on our paperwork for Sourced Adventures in the hopes that they could tell me what was going on, because at this point, it was close to 1:45 (the time we were advised to be there) and there was nothing in sight. The girl I spoke to on the phone wasn't much help, as the only thing she could tell me was that it was an Academy bus picking us up (and there was no Academy bus anywhere on that street). I asked her if I could assume that the bus was running late since we didn't see it, and her response was: "I guess you could assume that." Discouraged, we began walking up and down the bus area until we eventually found another couple that was on our same trip. The 5 of us were waiting around, and eventually another group of girls passed by that seemed just as lost. A group of us were gathered waiting when we saw a woman coming that announced she was our guide, and that she was "on the phone with the bus company" and thanked us for our patience. She would use that phrase many times over the course of the next hour and a half. She had us walk farther down where there was another 10-15 people she had gathered. She informed us that the bus was in Camden and was "10 minutes away." We all grumbled about how it was ironic that our paperwork scolded us about being timely, and yet here the bus was late. At this point, it was about 2:00-2:15. Amanda, our poor guide, was continuously on the phone, both with Sourced Adventures headquarters and the bus company over the next hour. Several very suspect things then happened: she tells us the original bus (you know, the one that was only "10 minutes away") broke down, and a replacement was sent. After waiting around some more (in the BITTER cold, mind you), we are told that she can't get ahold of the Academy bus dispatcher anymore. She is once again on the phone with Sourced Adventures headquarters. At this point, my group is frozen and angry and tired of waiting (it's close to 3 pm now). We ask her what happens if we decide we no longer want to wait and want a refund. She tells us she can't approve refunds and that she'd have to take our information to give to headquarters, for them to call us back on Monday since the "decision makers" aren't in on the weekends. At the same time, people that are freezing are being told that they can go wait elsewhere, and Amanda will call them when the bus comes. That alone sounds like a mess, because let's say the bus does arrive, and then you have to call 6 different groups of people, who are waiting who knows where, and then wait for all of them to get back?! We also start asking about how all of this wasted time and waiting would affect our trip. Would our tubing time be cut short? Would we get the same amount of time and just come home later than planned? Amanda had no answers. Once it hit 3 pm, I decided to call the number on our paperwork. I am pretty much told the same thing Amanda told us, in that I could leave my name and information, and someone would call me Monday morning with whether we could have refunds or not. While I am doing this, Amanda informs the group that supposedly, our replacement bus "went to the wrong location" and would not be arriving. How that happened is beyond me. She then informs us that she has to wait to hear from headquarters yet again to see what that mean for the trip. All in all, she tells us a few frozen moments later that they decided to cancel the trip since no bus ever came for us. What a shocker! (sarcasm, people). After being outside in the cold for 1.5 hrs, we pretty much had to eat our time and parking fees to be told it wasn't happening and that this had "never" happened in all the trips Amanda had done. Yes, we got refunds but no real answers. What a waste! read more
