She manipulated a few spots and recommended some exercises to help address the others. This is also one of the few offices that says to show up 15 min early, you actually need to do it. Their billing practices are woefully inadequate. They cannot figure out how to provide the basic…read moreminimum amount of information to receive reimbursement for an HSA or FSA account. They never provide a description of services offered and maintain you have to wait for the bills to clear your insurance first. It's maddening and time consuming for patients as it requires follow up and sometimes significant delays for reimbursement. It is beyond me that an invoice can't or doesn't allow the opportunity to include a description of services rendered. For example, was it a PT appointment, a purchase for stretchy bands, massage, etc. Ugh! The providers are skilled but the Admin side with Rev Cycle needs serious attention.

The Physical Therapy Place came highly recommended and luckily was in network for my insurance so I called to make an appointment. Located in an office building at the corner of 42nd and Laurel in the medical / university district, my first appointment involved arriving early and filling out the necessary background paperwork. I then met with Corina Carlson, PT, DPT who gave me my strength and flexibility assessment and discussed my medical background with me. Given I had been dealing with other health issues for the year prior, let's just say there were quite a few limitations. And my strength was next to nil. That didn't dissuade Corina however. We spent part of the 45 minute session working through 3 different exercises at the end of which I was given printouts and shown how to adapt them to home use as needed. Of course each session came with "homework." Which I diligently did almost every evening. We decided on a course of coming in once a week over a period of two months at which time everything would be reassessed. However often due to my work schedule some of those weekly schedules turned into bi-weekly. Which Corina would gently tease me about. Corina has a great personality and was very easy to work with. It was obvious from our first meeting she has her patients best interest at heart. The office is rather small and only consists of 2-3 physical therapists. But the office staff was friendly and insurance was billed promptly. Appointments were fairly easy to make. All in all this was my first bout of physical therapy and I was released for home care at the end of December when my knee started to show improvement. In the event I ever need PT again, I would definitely return to The Physical Therapy Place. And would whole heartedly recommend it to others.

I sat in the chair and got a free rub up and put my name in a drawing for a free massage and my name was picked (Holla!). I made an appointment with the masseuse that was at the fair and extended the massage by a half hour. First time here, so I was impressed by what I saw. There was a physical therapy room with a bunch of workout stuff The check-in area, though small, was clean and had fresh fruit and water. Receptionist was nice and affable. I do not remember golden hand's name but it started with a "Ch". He works here and at the Hotel Captain Cook. I think I will visit here or there again because it was the best massage I've ever had. After I went home I felt high, like ya-know, and really good. Lots of water that evening. So, what is it that I liked about this place? It has a bit of everything, and all the staff seemed professional and courteous. I filled out a questionnaire and discussed body stuff with a clinician before I got the massage. After the massage I was on my way out and I was met by the masseuse with a glass of water. The visit from beginning to end was great and I would recommend.
