Occasionally you will have a couple people who come into this league knowing how to play volleyball but are there anyways for a ego boost. If you are new to volleyball, read here. Yes this league may be a good starting point as it's very beginner level play, it's good for work teams and meeting new people. But you won't want to be here for long. There are the occasional try-hards that will come into the league to feel good about themselves by hitting hard and running plays on a net that's lower than women's height. Another downside is that some of these players think they can play but in fact they are very dangerous and make it very unsafe. Landing under the net and causing ankle sprains when you block is very common here. So play smart, watch out for others. If you have some volleyball experience and understand the game, read here. This league is very poorly ran. You have one ref that does not understand the rules of volleyball. No calls are made, clear doubles where the ball is spiraling, crazy players who jump and land under the net, players touching the net and lifts. You call your own lines, so in and out calls are all on you and the other team. The ref literally is there to just blow the whistle for serve and then flip the score. They dont even have anyone setting up the nets for you as well, so you need to set it up yourself. The net is literally lower than womens height. So if you're here playing with some new friends who are learning to play, have some integrity to play to the level of others and be safe. I played in this league before it became Zog (Dynamic sports) id say it has changed but not for the better. Same stuff as it was 5-6 years ago. If you are looking for some better play there are other leagues out there. Campbell Community center used to have a good one they may or may not still be running. Then there's IVL if you're looking for competitive play. Zog by far is the most expensive league and the total amount of games you play in the season is less then all these other leagues I mentioned. So if you're factoring bang for your buck. Zog is definitely not that.

I turned 21 in August, so apparently even though I am of proper age I needed to be a few months older to qualify for this league. Can anyone explain an intelligible reason for this?

I would like to sincerely recognize Erika at VillaSport for her outstanding customer service…read more After a very frustrating earlier interaction, Erika took the time to carefully listen to our situation and thoroughly review all the documents we already had on file. She approached the issue with patience, professionalism, and genuine care, making sure she fully understood the details before providing guidance. She did not rely on assumptions or personal judgment, but instead followed a clear and consistent process. Because of her attentive and responsible approach, we were able to complete our membership registration smoothly and without further complications. What stood out most was her respectful and warm attitude toward my elderly father. She was kind, considerate, and even greeted him in Chinese, which made him feel truly welcomed and deeply moved. This small gesture had a big emotional impact on our family. Erika treated us with respect, trust, and dignity throughout the entire process. Her professionalism and empathy are exactly what customer service should look like. We are very grateful for her help and support.

Ms. Nicole even called personally to listen to my concerns and offer help, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the summer camp was not the right environment for my son. It often felt rowdy and insufficiently structured, and we received a constant stream of phone calls throughout the summer. While a couple of calls were warranted, the vast majority were for minor situations that easily could have been handled internally by staff and discussed with us at pick-up, rather than interrupting my workday for every little thing that could have waited until the end of camp. After moving him to a martial-arts program and another club camp, he went four weeks without any phone calls and was happy and thriving. I canceled his final prepaid week and requested some flexibility on the $550+ fee--whether a partial refund, credit, or transfer--especially after spending more than $2,000 on VillaSport camps. Upper management refused, citing its strict cancellation policy. Other local clubs offer far more flexible options, so we will use other programs for future camps. The weekend club experience has also declined: towels are frequently unavailable, showers and family locker rooms can be dirty, hair clogs the drains, and loud conversations disrupt designated quiet areas. For such an expensive club, members should expect better cleanliness, upkeep, and rule enforcement. We appreciate the wonderful frontline staff, but between the disruptive camp communications, upper management's inflexibility, and the poorly maintained weekend environment, we will probably move on to a better-kept club and more flexible in their programs for the price we pay.

I was here playing in my APA league and we also got a practice table. At around 10pm a waitlist started to form, Tino came over to take our table away. We politely offered to just pay the regular hourly rate to keep it. He asked how many of us there were. When we said two, he visibly scoffed, acted like that wasn't enough, and told us we would have to pay the rate for four people if we wanted to keep the table. Then, he just took the table away from us anyway. Worse, when I was complaining to my teammates, he started yelling at me, complaining that we had the table for three hours, that his employee hadn't had lunch yet, and that we needed to give it up and get back on the waitlist. His entire attitude was aggressive, and he tried to make me feel like I was in the wrong for simply playing on a table we had legitimately secured. Later, when the league ended around 11pm, the double standard became painfully obvious. Tino came over specifically to shut down our league table, even though several other teams were still practicing on theirs. He completely ignored everyone else and specifically targeted us. I have been playing pool for nearly 20 years, currently shooting as an APA level 7, with a FargoRate of 568, and I know proper pool hall etiquette. I have never been kicked off a table, singled out, or spoken to this way by staff anywhere. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Final words to 946: if you don't want the league to interrupt your business, just don't host it. If you choose to host it, treat the players nicely, as we are customers too.
