My friends and I had such a fun time at this venue. We decided to come here to celebrate a birthday and it was great. $10 per person and there's no time limit! Ping pong paddles and balls are provided! They have over a dozen tables and two private rooms. My group of 10 people used a room with 5 tables and it was a great secluded area to celebrate the birthday. They allowed us to hang up a birthday banner and take photos. For someone who has recently been interested in Table Tennis, this table tennis community is an amazing way to get out there and play with more people for an amaetur like myself. I am amazed and feel so privileged that this community club is FREE to play...even during the late night hours until 11;30-12:00 am if you are a member. My friends live about an hour away from SJ and we do not have anything like this! Ping pong tables are very expensive, and a challenge to store in our own homes so the fact that they come here just to play ping pong says a lot about our determination to improve on this sport. I commend Swan Ping pong for their hard efforts to maintain this community club. I will continue to donate, and get more people to come out and play! As someone who's been really involved in the Bay Area table tennis community for over 12 years, I can say that this is an excellent place to play ping pong, for both casual aficionados and serious players. First of all, it's a community club run by a group of volunteers, so it's free to the public! However, I suggest donating if you can (I think even something small like $5/visit or $20/month is fair), since it's so much work and money to maintain a great facility like Swan. Secondly, there's a coaching group called Swan Warriors that usually reserves 4-5 tables for coaching during all afternoon-evenings (around 3pm-8:30pm) and even more tables for summer camp (June-August). If you come around these times, be prepared to wait longer for open tables. Overall, I love coming here to get in some fun exercise and hang out with friends. As of 2018, I'd say that Swan is the second most popular club in the South Bay Area, just short of ICC. Hope it stays that way for a long time! read more

I have been playing here for a year now. After undergoing a couple of ownership changes, Swan is now a nonprofit and run by a community of dedicated volunteers. I have seen them come in on Sunday mornings with buckets and mops and clean the whole place up before breaking out their paddles for a well-deserved game or two. The venue is well-lit, has lots of parking, free paddles and balls if you didn't bring yours and free (they accept donations, of course and I highly recommend leaving some so they can continue running their free training programs for kids). My 6 year old comes here to play as well so as you can imagine, I highly recommend Swan. read more

I didn't plan to write a review but I saw somebody is badmouthing Peter and that broke my heart. Peter coaches 3 of my kids (and myself occasionally) and he is doing it for at least 5 years. None of us is playing competitive ping pong but for a social player, Peter is great. He is awesome at coaching kids and my kids love his lessons. If you are planning on winning competitions, Peter might not be your guy but if you enjoy the game and just want to get better at it, I can't recommend Peter high enough. He is probably the reason my kids are still taking lessons for so many years. read more

I've been an active member for this club for last four years. It has gone through a couple of ownership changes and now operated by a non profit, community run organization, PPC ( Ping Pong Community). Located at Lawrence/Tasman in Sunnyvale, this club has about 150 active members, most of which are professionals from nearby companies, Google, Linkedin, Symantec, Jupiter, Apple, Microsoft, Marvell, Palo Alto Networks, and BroadCom. Its facilities are top notch in bay area, if not the best. In spite of its high end pricing ($380/year, $40/month), this club attracts a good crowd at noon and weekend. I never have trouble finding a partner whenever I drop in. read more

Great place to play and hang out with your pingpong friends and to meet new ones. I love Swan Pingpong. It has the best ping pong facility in Bay Area, and has the best people, including players and managers. It is actually managed by volunteers who come in to help cleaning the tables and floors and everywhere, and maintaining the whole facility. Swan volunteers also organize competitions that are very fun. It is now a non-profit organization, sponsored mainly from members' donation. Swan is trying to keep a good pingpong place in this very expensive company neighborhood so that many workers can find lunch time to play pingpong. When I went in, I had to wait 40 minutes for an open table and when it was finally my turn to play, balls kept on rolling under my feet. This made it really hard to focus when I was playing since all I did was pick up balls for other people. I recommend them to put more barriers up. read more

I parked my bike inside, the lady who appeared to be the owner of the place asked me to take it outside. Fine, it was my bad to park it inside without asking them. Then the lady started questioning me and my friend that if we paid or are members here in an offensive way! I thought scanning our cards guarantees that we paid to play and we are not cheaters, asking us in front of everybody is not only unprofessional, but humiliating. Very unprofessional. Will not renew my membership here again and will not recommend it to a friend. read more
