Terrible experience! Booked my sons firth birthday here thinking it would be the perfect place and environment..I was sadly mistaken. It was a huge celebration for us being that my son is half Korean and the first birthday is a really big deal. So many of my guests came to me telling me that our room monitor made them feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. This was my partner and my first born son..and we were looking forward to this celebration for a while. I'm deeply sadden and hurt by the events that took place. It's been almost a week and I'm still upset about everything. Our room monitors attitude and energy was NOT appreciated and was violent / rude. This is a great place to host a party. The community room A has a good view, there is a lot of light that gets into the room on a sunny day. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need. The staff are very friendly. We had a great party this weekend, thanks for making it happen. What a hidden gem! If I still lived in Bellevue this would definitely be my gym. Came for a rock climbing class with my kid that was fun, but we got to see the whole place and it is modern and beautiful, with first-class machines in the cardio room. Wow. They've got ballers at the gym here. The pickup ball is good, they can play for real. None of that watching some ahole take and miss 3s for twelve straight possessions. Screens are set, people playing D, and giving up the ball for better shots. The workout area is small though considering how big this facility is. They could have easily moved the XBox system and pool table to a differant area, and created a much larger weightroom. They have lots of unused space. read more

A one i rarely give however the birthday party i attended this weekend was very suppressed and oppressed as soon as i came in with the balloons one of the customer service persons immediately not even speaking begin to start saying how the balloons are to be tied down that i was bring for the birthday child okay lady they are helium i understand thanks as im walking away the chatter continues like im a child myself she then came in to peek if we had done so. This is definitely your best option if you live in Bellevue! They don't have a lot of weight and cardio equipment, but what they do have is top-notch and very well-maintained. (You will never see a whole row of treadmills with "out of order" signs here!) Manager Joan knows her stuff and is passionate about fitness! No signup fee and numerous ways to pay. It gets moderately busy after work but I have never had to wait for a machine, ever. read more

Came here for a tax workshop and found it to be a beautiful building with lots of warm wood, big windows flooded with afternoon light, and friendly staff. I was in Conference Room B and the windows overlooked lovely trees dappled with sunlight. The bathrooms were close by with plenty of stalls and it was nice and clean. The community center is a little bit away from most things so find a Starbucks before you get off the exit and go up the hill. Loved that there was free City of Bellevue wifi. read more

Facility is definitely a hidden gem. Very clean and decent courts for ball games and a decent size of gym comparing to the demand. Large parking area that you can find available spots all the time. I took my 2 years old daughter to Family Basketball ( yes I am training her at a very young age :) ), people are respectful, workers are helpful. Some suggestions: They need to advertise better and enforce the court usage rules. read more

We've been members since they first opened. The workout area is well-equipped, with both cardio and strength training resources. The staff is friendly and it's never too crowded when we go (mornings usually). I've also taken classes here and they are well run and convenient. I do wish some of the hours were longer (on weekends) but otherwise, really enjoy this community center. read more

I've belonged to five gyms and this is by far my favorite. First off there isn't a joining fee. You can go once, get a 20 visit punch card for $70, purchase three months unlimited for $100 and more. First of all the building and landscaping are less than three years old and both are beautiful. The fittness center is very clean and organized. There are plenty of new cardio machines, free weights and weight machines. My favorite thing about the SBCC is that to work out you must first attend an hour long orientation. You learn about the center, rules, how to use different machines and strategies to working out. I've run, played a variety of sports and lifted for the majority of my life but I was able to learn a thing or two about working out. Also the staff here are very friendly and willing to help out and answer questions. read more

I've been coming here regularly for my daughters play rehearsal that utilizes one of their community rooms. The facility is clean. They've got a great basketball court and rock climbing wall the front staff has been friendly although I haven't needed to interact with them much. The bathrooms are kept clean and have stools conveniently in place for the little guys to be able to use the sinks. They've got boys and girls club operating there and very family friendly. read more

I needed a gym to go to and SBCC was the closest one that was affordable, but didn't wreak of dead skin cells like at Bally Fitness Center in Eastgate. The building is relatively new, so all the facilities inside it are in pretty good shape. They offer a bunch of services- whether it be day camps, fitness center, fitness classes, indoor rock climbing, obstacle course, courts for basketball/ racquetball/ etc..., meeting rooms, party rooms, blah blah... Since it is run under the city of Bellevue, the prices are pretty affordable for Bellevue residents. The staff are really nice, and the hours open are reasonable. I will come here as long as I live in Bellevue. read more

My hs daughter and I have been coming to shoot around during open gym on weekends for a while. At times, the coordinator would advise use to use the 'teen side' to shoot since the family side can get full. We had been doing that for over two years when we get a chance to come in. Today, we showed up, took a basket on the teen side and in about half an hour was asked to go to the family side. Mind you, the family side was now crowded and only one lowered side hoop was open for my hs senior to shoot on. We are asian. My daughter is female. I want to chalk this up to the white hs boys being able to play their full court game while they kicked us asians off the court. Thanks, SBCC. I hope you can be more family and culturally oriented when serving your community. Of course I was upset, but the white desk clerk was very defensive. Incredibly bad customer service. Not even an apology. Hire some good people, SBCC. You can do better. read more
