The workers doing their duty for this country were educated, prepared, friendly, and professional. I'd vote here everytime for till 3000 :) because of them. Cool story, my co-worker and pod mate recently became a citizen. I think she was intimidated by the registration process as online there were some hiccups for her. After going to vote for myself, I pinged her and let her know while standing in line, they have workers helping those who haven't registered yet. I told her how great everyone was, how fast the line moved, and how easy peezy it all was. I had been trying all week to get her to vote, and after my experience at Crossroads Community Center, she did it!

My companion and I had driven to 3 parks in the evening, a week or two ago, looking for a tennis court. The tennis courts were full at every one of the 3 parks that we drove to! It was about to get dark soon, so we thought that it might get dark if we tried to wait for a court at one of the parks. So, we drove here as our last try to find an open outdoor public tennis court that evening. Thankfully both tennis courts were open here when we arrived! As you can see on the ground around me, the tennis courts had quite a bit of tree debris on them (mostly twigs and pine cones). However, we were able to play tennis here for about an hour and the pine cones and twigs didn't really interfere with our play, so 5 stars from me! The second tennis court was occupied by 2 other tennis players shortly after our arrival. They were very considerate and threw the stray ball back to us when it landed in their area, and we did the same for them. The parking lot is smallish, but it was sufficient for our needs and it was only about half full. The winding path to get to the tennis courts was a lovely place for a short stroll, with tall trees surrounding the path. There is a kids play area near the tennis courts. Kids seemed happy about playing there on the evening of our visit. There is also a 4-hoop basketball court adjacent to the tennis courts. It was full for most of the time that we were playing tennis. I liked the high fences around this space, so we didn't have to worry about a basketball getting in the way of our tennis play. It's been years since I last played tennis. I played tennis a lot growing up, mostly with my Mom, who is extremely competitive. I'm not super competitive myself, I prefer to be collaborative in most cases, but I was delighted that my companion and I each won 5 of our 10 games, because I do like doing physical activities with people of similar skill levels. Super nice and peaceful area, and a great place to play tennis. We may return!

We had my kid's birthday party here recently and it honestly made things so easy. The space is…read moreperfect for kids of different ages, there's a big playground area so no one felt cramped, and all the kids stayed entertained the entire time (which is a win in itself). The host was super helpful throughout checking in, helping set things up, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Food was good and convenient for a party setting, nothing over the top, but it did the job and the kids were happy. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a low-stress, fun birthday party venue where kids can run around. I do wish their party packages had extended hours. 2 hours didn't seem like enough.

The food was also surprisingly good for a party venue--the pizza and chicken tenders were both crowd-pleasers. The only downside was the timing. Everything felt a bit rushed, and it seemed like just as everyone was getting settled and enjoying themselves, it was already time to wrap up. A little more flexibility or extended time would have made the experience even better. I mean an extra 15 minutes to clean up for $50 - no thanks. That said, the staff really stood out--great service, clear communication from booking to end, and everything was well-organized from start to finish. Overall, a great spot for a fun and easy party, just be prepared to keep an eye on the clock.

The…read moreratio was amazing to see and the teachers who looked like they were part of a high school musical swim team went above and beyond to get to know the kids and they played fun games with them. I thought they might break out in song jk. This was the best swimming experience for my kids. They learned more in 30 minutes here than at the British Swim school. I also love the atmosphere as it reminded me of a community swim meet. Design and overall aesthetic of the community center is new and the center doesn't look run down. There was a random RV parked in front of the center but nothing sketch. As a parent I look out for these things. I'm excited to try more classes here for my kids.

I am very disappointed in the staff and in particular LeeMay Kim. I applied for a scholarship with…read moreSeattle parks and recreation because I don't have the income to cover the full tuition for these camps and activities. This they ran out of funding so I save up extra money just in case because my daughter really wanted to try a sport this year. I wanted to put her in camps that would help build up her creativity/motor skills.. She is very good with her hands and she wanted to try more sports.. I signed my daughter up for a soccer camp that cost 180.00 for 5 days and 50 minute sessions each day, in doors...The camp started on a monday August 11th and she got sick sunday the day prior... I emailed another program coordinator earlier monday 9am prior to the camp starting at 1pm to notify that my daughter was not feeling well, and she may miss some days of the camp... I asked if we could move her to another camp that starts in September so that she don't miss multiple days. LeeMay replied back stating the don't give refunds and she disregarded my question about asking to move my daughter to another camp... And she didn't reply at all to any of the questions I asked about happy feet soccer for 2 yr olds... She advised she could put a request in but a doctor's note is advised not required. I advised It takes time and money taking my kids to the hospital for a tummy ache and frequent uses to the bathroom when I can handle it as a parent and how come my word is not enough..she ignored the rest of my emails and chose to not put a request in for my refund or reply back stating why she could not change the camp dates or give a credit to my account for another activity. LeeMay Kim choose to not put the request in and The community center kept my 180.00 dollars. Now my daughter cant do the camp at all because I Don't have funds and could not afford to flush 180.00 down the drain... And Seattle parks and recreation scholarship department have no way in helping assist me in getting my refund.. Very disappointed in LeeMay and her un professional habits in how she chose to assist me....And how she and the Department made it harder for a child who was really wanting to be involved in a summer camp and program... I highly recommend not working with LeeMay or giving this community center any funding for youth because they really don't care about the youth... Very digested.
