Northgate is located minutes away from the splendor of downtown Newport, RI. The apartments themselves vary in bedroom quantity and size as would any apartment complex. I have seen both the 2 and 3 person bedroom style rooms and I have to say. . . go for the double. The living room space is enormous! As opposed to the 3 person suites, where the third bedroom takes up a decent portion of the living space. Rent generally works out to $500 a person (unless you are renting a single), heat and hot water included. Great for those long showers to wash away the seaweed and sand from the beach :) Ideal place to live if you are working on the Navy Base (located just beyond the walls of this property) or anywhere in Middletown/Newport area. Looking for a summer getaway near some of the best beaches in New England? Here's your place. On site pool and grilling areas for resident use. Good luck finding this place on your GPS. . . mine has it listed as still part of the government owned land for the navy base, so it doesn't have the roadwork plans as available for access to the public.

I'd encourage those seeking limited exposure to Aquidneck Island to express interest with the Landings Apartment Community. The Landings Apartment Community offers degrading service and increasing prices each year, and for that reason I cannot recommend the Landings Apartment Community to any who are seeking an extended stay in Aquidneck Island. The Landings Apartment Community only offers a one (1) year lease. At the conclusion of the year, the Landings Apartment Community will raise your rent well above inflation in exchange for zero (0) additional services or amenities. Below are the price changes I paid for the exact same (two (2) bedroom, one (1) bathroom) apartment at the Landings Apartment Community. % increase 2020 to 2021: 9.71% 2021 to 2022: 12.60% 2022 to 2023: 4.76% 2023 to 2024: 7.95% Existing residents are only offered three renewal options: (1) a one year lease renewal, (2) a month-to-month lease renewal at a heightened rate (approximately a $200 additional fee to the yearly lease rate), and (3) vacate the apartment. Even in the event of error by the Landings Apartment Community which they will readily accept responsibility for, they are unwilling to offer concessions or discounts to the lease value. The Landings Apartment Community is quick to respond to maintenance requests, often responding within the week. However, they are quick to make mistakes. For those who travel frequently for work, I cannot recommend the Landings Apartment Community because of their lack of integrity. You must verify the results of their maintenance yourself because the Landings Apartment Community is willing to leave your residency at risk by not securing your residency when maintenance is complete. The door has been left unlocked and ajar by the maintenance team until secured by the unit resident. This is problematic for people who must travel frequently for work. In addition, the Landings Apartment Community has not cleaned debris from maintenance work, leaving the responsibility of cleaning after their maintenance team to the residents of the unit. In conclusion, the Landings Apartment Community is an excellent option for those who are seeking short term residence in Aquidneck Island. The Landings Apartment Community cannot be recommended to any who are seeking an extended stay in Aquidneck Island due to increasing price and decreasing quality of service. The Landings Apartment Community penalizes people who must travel frequently for work with their dubious integrity.

The staff here is awesome. They are friendly, competent, and willing to help no matter what the issue is. Believe me, I can be a real PIA, but the Bayview staff has always accommodated me. I give them a huge amount of credit for all that they do. There are folks that have lived here for 20-30 years, and they love it. There is a gym, a conference center, a pool, garden plots, etc.. They promptly answer my questions before the contract is signed, prior to arrival, and while we are in the rental home. They take care of any concerns or needs you may have during your stay. They are available if needed. We just arrived home after a memorable week long stay in wonderful Narragansett. It was a great experience in a rental home that is a perfect floor plan and location for our annual family vacation. We are ages 9 months to 78. Much thanks to Sunrise Properties! We told them we had a funeral and needed to book asap. No sympathy. Bottom line agent said she would not let us book the property because we did not have the right attitude. Her boss went along. The agent hung up on me 4 times when asked to speak to manager. Even in our grief that would not rent. So they did not care to miss out on $3500.00 in rent for their client because they did not like us. Wow! They are very high and mighty in attitude. Don't bother trying to book with them you might not be good enough over the phone.

We happened to spot this office on one of our walks and decided to walk in and see what they had available. We met Lisa the owner/broker. She and her daughter Taylor were having a heated argument at that time so I was a little skeptical about the place. However, after sitting down and discussing our wish list she immediately had a place in mind for us. It was right above one of the popular restaurants in the heart of downtown. She immediately took us for a showing and we rented the place on the spot. She also mentioned that the landlord was renovating a nearby building and converting it to some upscale condos. When we showed interested she took us over there to check out the place. We also picked her brains about the area and even some of the other rentals we were planning on viewing that afternoon in the surrounding area and she seems to know every one of the owners. She has lived in the area and have been in business for over 27 years so she seems to know where the best spots in towns are at for renting/purchasing a place. She also knew where the hot spots for restaurants/lounges/business were at and also where new ones would be opening soon. She is pretty good at assessing our likes and dislikes so we didn't waste any time with her. I also noticed that lots of locals list their places with her. We're really big Craigslist users and she had a lot of local listings on there. So, if you want options, I think she got some for you. I would definitely work with her again when we get ready to purchase a place. If you are looking for a agent that is familar with this area and can help you with finding a place to live or play then this is your place.
