There is also a giant tower with some of the biggest slides I've ever seen. The park itself is very large with plenty of grass and room to enjoy pretty much any activity you can think of. They do have what looks like a zip line, but I've never seen it actually being used and I'd actually say that for how awesome the rest of the park is, the actual playground area is a little lacking. That said, if I lived closer, I'd be happy to take my kids here every day

The trail is steep and challenging, but the views at the lake were worth it. Definitely be prepared: bring plenty of snacks and enough water, preferably with electrolytes because you'll need it. Next time, I'm planning to camp overnight so I can rest to make an easier trip back down. Highly recommend this hike if you're up for a challenge!

Great trail from Spring through Fall in Little Cottonwood - especially in the Summer when you are…read moredying of the valley heat, it's usually at least 10 degrees cooler and there is ample shade. It is roughly 7 miles and 2,100-ft of elevation gain (200-ish flights of stairs going up) so not the best choice for novice hikers. The Forest Service did an awesome job and regraded portions of the trail in Fall 2019 to create more gentle dirt switchbacks instead of hiking up the rockier and steeper incline - my knees thank you! This is also the trail if you want to summit Pfeifferhorn and are really looking to level up! In the Summer be aware of limited parking and they also drain the lake usually late Summer so best to go earlier. Happy hiking!

This was really common and disgusting. One toilet stand was unbelievably dirty for 3 weeks until someone cleaned it. I put up with it until they cranked up the water temperature to 84F which made it impossible to do serious lap swimming. The pool managers I spoke to about it were extremely rude. My notes about the smell of urine didn't seem to make any difference. The front desk people were nice but calling to ask them about the pool availability was useless as they would give me incorrect info. By comparison, the Gene Fullmer's Center where I went to for a year prior to DD was perfectly clean, only more crowded.

Secondly, the employees are SO great with kids. They patiently explain the science behind things, are happy to help you figure out the microscopes and other things. I learned a lot just by being there with my daughter. We've also done the dissection which was very detailed and well guided. We're looking forward to doing a parent's night out and summer camps. My daughter begs to come here daily, which is why we got a membership - open lab is free every day!

My kids enjoyed almost all of them - but little beakers by far was their most favorite!! We went for open lab and I must say that they have set it up so well. It is cool, while it is educational. The kids went crazy doing the science experiment and I didn't have to deal with procuring materials or cleaning the mess afterwards!! They felt like real scientists. All the materials were provided, marked nicely, and the instructions very straightforward. The kids were mostly able to do it all independently (with my supervision). After the experiment, in simple and precise words. I wish we had known about this place earlier, I would have brought my kids 2-3 times in our trip.
