The best time to go is after four when all the moms are taking their kids home to feed them dinner. There is a concession area with decently priced snacks and drinks. They play music and sometimes have different activities for the kids like the log roll. There are two diving boards, umbrellas, longe chairs, and they have life jackets for the littles you can borrow.

They are there to blow their whistles at moms if your child swims more than 3 feet away. Every mom has multiple kids. We come prepared for safe swimming. We are an Asian American family and I felt like we were being targeted because there were a bunch of other "non minority" kids playing football and running into people but none of them had said a word. She just had her eyes on us the whole time. He already has a swim pants on and then I said that she seen us enter and we were sitting down in front of her face the entire time why she didn't say anything when we first got in. she was there and seen us but didn't say anything until my son started to have fun. I didn't like the experience so we left. She was a blonde girl between 5'6 - 5'7 monitoring the kiddie pool around 1:15pm 12/30/24 The prices are affordable and the place seem really decent enough I'm just not happy with the worker that told us right when I finally got my son to open up. It took a long time to show him the water was ok. He is non verbal so to see him smiling and having fun then being told he can't wear that already an hour in, hurts.

Most importantly, this is a terrific place to go for lap swimming. The pool measures 50 m. It's also nice to know that Salt Lake County runs a Masters swimming program there. Monday through Thursday they have an early morning session and Tuesday and Thursday they have a mid morning session in addition to the early morning session. During those times they have a long course lanes set up. That's the pool configuration for a serious swim workout. They have a clean well-kept locker room with hot showers available. Plenty of off-street parking, plus a snack bar. What more would you need for serious swimming and sunning this summer?

Shop seems cool sometimes good sale but the service side is horrible…read more Had my ss1 serviced the week before a Caribbean trip. It failed at depth. Then they took three weeks to service it again and acted like they did me a favor not charging me lol. Not like I was left stranded in Roatan without and octo/inflator or anything. THEN Book a DRYSUIT course and they change the dates 3 times the week of and then come at me salty when I couldn't make the final last minute date change. Then they didn't even refund me hahaha. Literally their trips are insanely overpriced btw. The attitude they gave me because THEY couldn't get their DRYSUIT instructor to stick to one date was laughable. I work in a business where it's not so easy to just keep changing and am shocked they stay in business treating people this way. Go anywhere else. We've been attending Big Blue Swim School for almost two months, and it's been a good experience…read more Our kids (infant and toddler) really enjoy their lessons and also seem to be learning a lot. The facility is also fantastic--very clean and playful looking; perfect for kids. I'm still a little unsure of how I feel about the business model. You have to pay for the months' lessons up front, and if for some reason you can't make it, you don't get refunded for any lessons you cancel. The money also doesn't go towards the next month's balance; you simply have to do makeup lessons or lose those funds. For a family like ours that struggled to find a consistent lesson time at all, scheduling makeup lessons has proved tricky, but we do have to miss a lesson once in a while. Not sure what the solution is here. I also came by the facility during business hours to sign my kids up, but the doors were shut and locked, even though they were open? Luckily the staff saw me and opened up the doors to let me in, but had they not, we probably wouldn't have signed up. We wanted to visually look at the facility before committing, so a phone call didn't work for us. Hopefully this feedback proves helpful. We're eagerly looking forward to our next swim lesson!
