West Covina, Rowland Heights & La Puente resident friends often aren't aware of this great place located "up the hill" on Azusa Avenue. I often go to shops meeting my needs there, from a Super Target, to Home Depot and eating places, such as Round Table Pizza and more. The center appeared slow during the day first opening, but traffic has really increased as more people have become aware of the place.

The staples of this plaza (at least for me) are definitely the:…read more-Target -Starbucks (even though there is one inside the Starbucks) -Home Depot -PetSmart -Panda Express -Quickly (I used to go here all the time before I could drive and go to further boba places) -Wendy's (even though I'm sure a worker or someone affiliated DM'ed me on Yelp and called me a slur) -Salvation Army (donating is super easy here) -UPS Store (my god send in returning Amazon packages) There's El Pollo Loco, Einstein Bro.'s Bagel (used to be Jamba Juice), Jersey Mike's, Game Stop (I have a HAUNTING suspicion many more of these will clothes since game companies are moving away from physical media and making everything a digital download now), and a couple other businesses I don't necessarily really go to. There's PLENTY of parking since it's such a huge plaza, but it can get quite busy with all of the cars going in and out. The main intersection you enter in and out can get REALLY ugly with cars not following right of way, the lanes to turn left backing up into the intersection, etc., so if I can avoid it and just exit near the UPS Store I would. I feel like at a certain point they really should put traffic lights there, but on dead times it's not so bad honestly. As for other things, sometimes there's vagrants wandering around (camping behind the Salvation Army), one time a guy was peeing outside of his car, the letters are always being stolen from the Heights sign, and there used to be car meets here before they were shut down. I just really like that this place is quite close to me.

The curve is actually a separate area located at the doorstep of Eastland center. Four eateries in an actual curve configuration starting with Islands restaurant, Chipotle, Ono Hawaiian BBQ and Jollibee. From the main entrance on N Barranca St intersection make a right, right, right and you're there. Plenty of parking with some tree shaded spots. Jollibee has a convenient drive thru or designated pick up parking spaces for online orders. Among a concentrated shopping center this curve is an oasis for some reasonably priced refreshment and nourishment.

Round One/Spocha, AMC, and Haidilao are responsible for single handedly keeping this mall's lights…read moreon. The mall gives an eerie, abandoned feeling as most stores are closed and certain areas are permanently closed off. I still like to go to Round One for the crane machine games and to watch a movie every now and then. Unfortunately, there's not much more to do at this mall since there aren't any stores to shop at and only one restaurant option.

i love this mall but unfortunately the property owners have allowed it to squander as they'd prefer…read moreto redevelop the plot into industrial use. the current idea is a data center and energy storage. there are about 8 businesses still open in the mall, including haidilao hot pot, army career center, navy career center, a hair salon, a muscle massage spa, a local shoe retailer, a beauty school, and a local clothing retailer. currently, round1 arcade and bowling and amc movie theaters are the last remaining anchor tenants. previous anchors ross and burlington closed within the last year, leaving an empty wing of the mall in front of the mall management office. all the informational maps in the mall were last updated in 2019, which is when i would assume this mall started really started to topple. it is fantastic to walk the corridors, those that are still accessible, as there are a few wings of the mall that have now been blocked off due to high vacancies. i have loved coming by this mall, i always treated it as a discount mall compared to others in the area as many of the national retailers would have lower prices to encourage more customers. when champs had an outpost in the mall, everything was constantly 40% off! the property is quite barren and is likely to close soon, so if you have been wanting to visit the twin pines mall, get over here and stretch your legs!

A 99 ranch super market. Some Asian based J and K beauty shops. A couple nice restaurants (but not high end). A big but always crowded Japanese book store (even more so crowded than the one in dtla). Typical clothing franchises. And a pretty regular food court. I never really thought this was a nice mall but now it feels like this place is giving more a ghetto vibe. I personally wouldn't come here often to celebrate /or host important events, unless necessary. I would avoid this place on the weekdays or holidays if you don't like crowds. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and this past weekend they had the Lunar New Year celebration, with many additional pop-up vendors in the street (closed off for pedestrians). Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. I'm go to the Uniqlo and Shibuya LA all the time, which are fantastic additions for anyone looking for Japanese fashion, skincare, and cosmetics. Several existing retailers have also refreshed their spaces, including Coach and Lululemon, giving the mall a more modern feel. The outdoor plaza and children's play area are wonderful additions for families. It's a great place to relax while kids burn off some energy and the pet-friendly outdoor spaces make it even more inviting. The dining scene has also improved dramatically. With restaurants like Din Tai Fung, North Italia, Kalbi Social Club (KBBQ), The Melt, and Pacific Catch all within steps of the mall. There are plenty of excellent sit-down options for before or after shopping. The addition of LA Fitness and the new apartment complex will likely make this area even more vibrant and lively. Brea Mall has done an impressive job evolving into more than just a shopping center. After Sears closed, they tore it down and are now building a nice outdoor retail/dining area with some decent restaurants. I'm not sure why apartments taking over a mall parking lot are such a big deal, and not sure I would want to live that close to a major mall, but I assume they make money. The one they do is take up parking. Which is my only complaint. Parking here can be a pain. Whatever you do, never park in the parking garage next to Nordstrom's when it's busy. The cars backed up on the street can be insane, and the guys with the flags to control traffic seem to be there only to help pedestrians cross the road. The last time I tried to park there, we ended up on the very top, which was also full, and only got a spot because someone left. Parking behind the men's/houseware Macy's store used to be great, but then they locked those doors. During the holiday, parking is already bad enough, but with this expanded area, it's only going to get worse. Inside the mall, I do love the mix of stores. The food court has just enough variety to make most people happy. It's also a great mall for walking, especially if you end up parking far enough away from an entrance to earn some extra steps.
